      On 01-08-2021, I received an estimate from *********************** of ******* Roofing to replace my shingled roof for $6,975.00. The job was completed on 03-08-2021 by Mr. ******************** crew. On 03-09-2021, ************** stopped over and I paid him in cash for the job. I asked him about the shingles sealing down to each other because of the cold weather. ************** stated that they would seal down when it warmed up over the next few months and that he would return to apply glue to the ones that didn't.On 06-28-2021, I called and left a message with ******** wife who that there were shingles needing attention. She said ****** would call me back.On 06-30-2021, I called and ******** wife told me she was going to write up a work order to fix the shingles.On 07-13-2021, I called and talked with ******. He said that he's been busy and my roof might need more time to seal down.On 11-01-2021, I again called ******. He asked me to text him my address and he would head over in a day a two. I sent him the info but he never showed up.On 11-09-2021, I again texted ****** my information.On 11-16-2021, I called and spoke with ****** again. He said his wife was supposed to write up a work order but didn't. He again asked me to text him my information, which I did again. Again he said he would be over and never showed. On 11-22-2021, I again called ****** and he said he was sick and would get to it when he is better.During two of these phone calls, I asked ****** to send a worker out to do the job, but he said he would have to do it. I'm tired of the run around and the work order excuses.The phone #'s I have called are:************ ************ ************

      The year 2021 was indeed a strangely different year for ******.  As in 2020, individual worker/laborer problems were abundant due to Covid and stimulus checks which caused many people to stay away from work.    

       

      ****************** roof was replaced in March, 2021 without issues.  The homeowner asked ************** to come back after several months during warm weather to confirm the shingles had sealed properly.  If  for some reason, shingles do not seal normally, they would not be glued down as **************** mentioned, but rather be handsealed with an approved asphalt roofing cement or other adhesive approved by the shingle manufacturer.  ****** is a very hands on person and has always worked long hours and most weekends.  If a homeowner has a question about work done, ****** is always the person to go back and inspect and/or remedy the work because he has the expertise to do so.  

       

      Sometime in August and continuing over the next two months, ****** began experiencing a health issue that he didnt realize at the time or know about.  It was a private/personal issue and details cannot be shared in this response.  ****** is such a positive and strong person that I heard him tell several people he was fine but he was not.   Then on 

      November 20, he was unexpectedly diagnosed with Covid and subsequently hospitalized two days later.  For the first time in 50 years, his business for all practical purposes shut down, and stayed that way the rest of 2021.  Now in mid-January, he has begun to work to regain his strength and start up where he left off months ago.  The cold weather along with high wind many days is restraining his progress.  Since **************** does not have a roof leak, ****** proposes when Spring and better weather get here, that he inspect ****************** roof to determine whether the shingles are sealing properly.

       

      ************** has been a licensed general contractor and has been in business in the central ******* area for 50 years.  He is also a proud member of the BBB with an A+ rating.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me. Hopefully this will be resolved come spring.
