From initial request to the repair work being done, it took seven weeks, and five follow up calls. The work was satisfactory, although it was dark when they finished painting. The quoted price was $120, but the actual price was $1,237 due to additional wood rot they found. Had the estimator actually gotten on a ladder and done an inspection, I would have had a better idea of the cost and would have obtained additional estimates. I did not expect the price to be more than ten times what was quoted and did not appreciate the response I received when I questioned the amount. I subsequently contacted the owner and he never responded. I will not use them again.

Even though you are now out of the area that we serve, we and were scheduled out to July.. We did go ahead and meet to give you a quote and put you in the front of the line to be finished in April.Our quote was based on meeting with you and you telling us what your roofers had told you was bad. It was a visual quote based on that information. At the time of the estimate we told you that when we do wood repairs, we almost always find more wood. Things we can not see with out digging in and removing things. Your answer was you wanted us to do a thorough job and if we found anything to let you know.Before we started the work, we did find that above the gutter line, that we could not see at time of the quote we found that your gutter boards and facia where it meets the gutters was rotten and was allowing water into the soffit, and that we would have to rebuild the soffit as well. We informed you of this, showed you the issues, priced it out and got your approval via signature before we did any work.The guys did finish the work in a quality manor put things back together better than it was before to ensure that you would not have this issue again.I understand that the pricing from 1st estimate to the end price was a lot. And over the 12 wood jobs that we will do this year, that will happen on a few. At time of quote things may look better than they are, some wood rot starts on the inside and a board that looks good may crumble when touched. This is an area that we strive to work on.
