Exterior house painting does not meet industry-standard practices. Most areas of the wood siding were not scrapped before the house was painted. The painting was completed in a haphazard way creating splotches and discoloration. The factory-finished gutters were painted over after we had asked them not to paint them and the gutters were painted before they were properly prepped. The paint was dribbled all over our sidewalks, limestone brick caps, roof, and dumped in multiple areas of our backyard. The painting crew told us that it is not worth it for them to continue work on our project to fix the issues we have described to them. We are seeking a refund of our deposit and the replacement of our damaged gutters.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Hi Kaysey,
For the complaint number above it was closed, but we are still trying to work with *** Norwell (VP with College Works) to come out to our house to look at the poor quality of work completed. He was on vacation for a while and we have been struggling to find a time that works for him to come out. It also seems like everything takes 10 times as long with this company since we wait days/weeks for our text messages to be answered. I did not mean to let my lack of response result in a closed complaint - I was just waiting until we might get this resolved. If there is a way to re-open the case I would like it to be known they have not addressed any of our concerns.

Hi Kaysey,
*** did make it out to our house yesterday to look at the project. He agrees that the work completed by the previous crew was of poor quality and incomplete. He is looking for a new crew to fix the work and is supposed to update us by this weekend with next steps. I will keep you posted on what happens for these next steps.

Hi Kaysey,
We finally have this resolved. They refunded our deposit and gave us 75% of the cost to repair the damages to our house. I also had to sign non-disparagement settlement agreement.
