I joined this match making service in 2023. They did not inform me they were closing and I am still being charged $20 a month for their website. I would prefer a full refund for the over 2000 I spent but would settle for my monthly payment of the website.Initial Complaint

I found out last month (12/23) that Indianapolis Singles (IS) closed permanently. According to a previous complaint on your website, IS closed around mid-2023. I was not notified of this, but I am still being charged almost $20 a month. I would like to be refunded for all the money that I paid them since they closed down. I also want IS to stop charging my account.Initial Complaint

This business closed in the middle of a one year contract without notifying me. They are no longer providing services to me (since July of 2023) but have continued to withdraw my monthly payments of $277.62. My bank has put a stop on future payments. If that stop payment is successful, I will have paid them $3,498.56 of the $4,331.44 contract price. I want refunded half of what I have paid, which is $1,749.29Initial Complaint

I contacted Indianapolis Singles thinking that I was ready to start dating since my husband was killed 437 days ago. I met with ***** at 12noon on March 1,2022 I was told the meeting would take about 90 minutes. We discussed the services they offer and my personal situation for a while and when I asked her about price she said she promised it would be less than $10,000.00 that it would be tailored to something I could afford. After she gathered all of my personal information she picked up a flyer with their pricing, not tailored to what I could afford. Starting at $6,995.00 for one year membership I said I could not spend that kind of money after her trying to convince me that it was worth it an me saying no several times she brought the price down to $2,500.00 I again said no then it was $2,300.00 again I said no. We shook hands and she said "Thank you" as we walked out of her office she said I'm going to have you talk with ******* she is older and I am very busy. I was ready to leave we had been talking for way over 2 hours .She led ******* and I into a smaller office where we again talked for atleast an hour or longer. ******* finally got the price down to a trial period of 6 months for $995.00 stating I could give her $100.00 now and call her when I got home with a credit card number for the remainder of the amount. I agreed I was ready to leave, when i left their office it was 3:59pm. I called on Wednesday 3/2/2022 and asked for my money to be returned and was told by ***** "unfortunately we cannot refund your money". I was never told about any money not being refundable. After talking for so long about the love and grief I am going thru since the loss of my husband, I was very pressured into agreeing to purchase a service that I do not want to take part in, but that was the only way to get out of that office.Business response

*************** enrolled with Indianapolis Singles, and was notified of the no refund policy she signed on the back of her agreement before leaving the office, The above statements are not completely accurate, We hold a strict qualification process to uphold the best clientele quality, safely and success of our clients. We abide by state laws and have each person submit to our process and verbally educated each client the whole way through the process and before signing that we accept for a membership. We reserve the right to offer different pricing to meet quality standards of our data base for the success of our members by a case by case basis only approved by company management to meet ethical standards. and promotions. When *************** entered our office and met those qualification standards, We learned that she was very fearful of having to start her life over and we wanted to help her achieve meeting a nice person to date in a safe environment and still do. We understand that situations like this can be scary to some clients and cause a little anxiety, However *************** is still responsible for holding to her end of the agreement as 100% of our clients are. It would be Unfair and unethical to allow *************** a refund when we cannot others who suffer a small amount of anxiety in starting their personals journeys in the beginning. We explained this to *************** in a phone call conversation prior to her complaint and she was unsatisfied with being held accountable with the integrity of her agreement .*************** is currently in breach of her agreements, however We cannot offer *************** a refund, We would be happy to allow her to attend one singles event of choice to have the opportunity to overcome her fears about dating. We do everything we possibly can to work with our members and insure a quality service is provided to each members in the highest standard and help support them. *************** has accepted the offer and has agreed to take the complain down.

I signed up for this service July/August of 2020. It was explained to me that many of events were on zoom, which I was understanding too. Yet, the events I signed up for were cancelled. It was also explained to me that I did not have to use the online website (which is separately paid for) because part of their service was the personalize individual matchmaking. It was my understanding they would send me potential marches each month. They did this once and it was only after I reached out and asked. When I signed up I was sold on the idea that they had tons of men younger than 40. Which they didn’t. I didn’t realize that the target demographic of people were 40+. I was matched with only 2 men over the past 10 months. I pay $155 monthly for the service, plus the charges for the pictures (which were not flattering at all), plus $25 for the online portal. I cancelled the online access back in January.Business response
