    On June 13, 2023, BBB requested that the business respond to the alleged pattern. On July 20, 2023, the business responded to BBB with steps they are implementing to eliminate the alleged pattern of complaint. Their response includes the following statement:

    "Phoenix does not issue improper collection notices and we are enhancing out policies and procedures by: 

    • Conducting reasonable investigations on all disputes received from consumers, including verification of account details with the creditor

    Randomly auditing and validate debts being credit reported by PFS

    • Implementing controls to ensure the accuracy of data furnished to any Credit Reporting Agency and auditing compliance with those controls."

    As of August 9, 2023, BBB will continue to monitor the alleged pattern of complaint.

      I do not have a debt with American Medical Response. My health insurance would have covered it if I did. I have never received a bill from AMR, I have never received a phone call from AMR billing department, and I've never received any payment demands through the mail from AMR. This randomly showed up on my credit report and does not belong to me. I have filed a dispute on my credit report and will be sending debt validation and deletion demands.

      *Has the company addressed the issue of the dispute? No

      *If not, why? The 2019 AMR bill was taken to ****** customer support and was taken care of by my insurance. There should be no debt to this company, and I want it off my credit report immediately.

      *Has the company met the agreement they outlined in their response? No. ????

      For approximately the past three months I have been receiving a bill from Phoenix financial services stating that I owe $1303.32 from an ambulance ride from American medical response dating back on 12/09 /17. I had settled a bill sent to collections for AMR dating back then when I downloaded Credit Karma and saw that I had a bill sent to collections a few years ago I no longer owe this and I settled it for a little over $800I am not completely sure the amount I would have to contact these businesses to get this amount if need be .My soul purpose for this is to report this company I did contact them and they were trying to get personal information and stating that they were going to only give me two weeks otherwise they were going to start charging more money they were extremely aggressive on the phone I then looked into it and found online that there is multiple reports that this is fraudulent and this company is doing this too many people. The companys return address is different on the bill than their physical address. All the information you get is different online and this company is probably getting a lot of money out of scamming people . This is very alarming due to the fact that this is an accurate date and amount of a previous bill I had in collections. These people are hacking information and getting into peoples identity.. They should be investigated and stopped from continuing what they are doing to people. Being that I am very diligent about trying to keep my credit good I almost give them information that could have been detrimental. They go by Phoenix financial services physical address ***********************************************************************and the returned address. I did not sign any paperwork stating I would pay or owe them any money. They did not provide me with the original contract as requested.

      I am rejecting this collection attempt because it was settled 3 years ago, and complaints were filed against AMR (***** and ******** BBB and ***** Attorney General) for violations of Balance Billing and Deceptive Trade Practice Act in 2021. See 2021 complaint: It is the billing departments responsibility for American Medical Response ambulance service to bill fairly and make arrangements for out of network billing with patients insurance companies - Balance Billing; ***** passed a law against Balance Billing! After my insurance company - AETNA paid their portion, my responsibility was for the balance of $97.30, which I paid in full to credence, and which satisfies my remaining balance responsibility. I am filing against Phoenix Financials Services in *****, as well as the ***** ************************ for Deceptive Trade Practice for their deceptive means in which they: 1 -March 2023 tried to extort money from me having some woman trying to dun me and refusing to tell me her name and who she works for and mailing out letters that look like checks (which I threw away thinking they were scams) and 2-they cited their client as ******** **************** whom I have NEVER done business with for a supposed debt over 3 years old!

      I am rejecting the response made by Phoenix Financial Services because: 1 - I never heard from or of ******** **************** LLC; 2 - it looks like they are playing the "bait and switch: with the only letter I opened (throwing others away as they look like junk mail scams AND it was sent AFTER they sent collections to credit reporting agencies) having a different address for the return address and citing ******** **************** LLC who in turn received it from Credence who received it from ARM as their client?  Too many to keep up with! This was from a disputed bill received in 2019 - 4 YEARS AGO! See attached from my insurance EOB and my original response and BBB complaint Complaint # ******** in 2020: "I am rejecting this collection attempt because it was settled over 3 years ago, and complaints were filed against AMR (***** and ******** BBB and ***** Attorney General) for violations of Balance Billing and Deceptive Trade Practice Act.       I appreciate your reply. I want to make sure my complaint and my most recent response rejecting Phoenix Fin reply will be on the BBB website when I (consumers) do a search on their business. Also, please see attached from the BBB website I found after searching complaints on Phoenix Financial services!. I do not know if you have seen this, but I find this very revealing about this company and what I (and others) have been through dealing with them.
