      Wanted to share this experience - to make sure no other customers get defrauded by this business.On the day of rental, they charged extra $21.95 per day "Renter's Liability Waiver" fee, above the listed price for the rental, which I was informed was MANDATORY, in addition to my existing auto insurance and AMEX Platinum coverage.When I inquired that Ive never heard of such MANDATORY fee, the attendant informed me that this was a new Nevada law, passed in October 2025.Apparently a lie - and a fraud.

Your AMEX card covered the vehicle for collision, but liability still needed to be added. The state of ****** does require all vehicles to have liability insurance. Personal insurance can be used as long a coverage is verified to ensure it meets the state minimum requirements. If personal liability coverage is not provided at pick up, then it would need to be purchased before the vehicle can be released. We understand that insurance requirements can be frustrating, and we strive to make these policies as clear as possible.       We rented a car through TicketsAtWork and they assigned us to Ace Rent A Car. When my daughter and her boyfriend arrived at ***, they had trouble locating the rental place. When they arrived, they were denied the car as they did not have a physical credit card and wanted to use a debit card. Ace would not take the debit card nor would they take my daughter's credit card and while standing there added an additional $600 in fees. I tried to call as I was waiting for my plane to join them and Ace refused to talk to me as my name was not on the rental. They would not allow us to change the name as it was after the pickup time. We never received the car and they are refusing to refund my money. DO NOT RECOMMEND this rental company at all.

Once a reservation is created, were also unable to modify the renters name in the system. In those cases, the reservation would need to be cancelled and a new one created. If the booking was prepaid through a third-party site, you would need to contact them directly to request any ********** this time, I am not able to see the full details of your reservation, so I would really appreciate the chance to investigate this further for you.       My original price for a 3-day car rental was $128 but in the end I ended up paying $320 for a 3-day car rental! They would not take my full coverage insurance and made me buy theirs, they charged me $8 a day for roadside assistance that they never mentioned to me or asked if I wanted it, the worst part is they told me that if I let them put their gas in it when I return the car it would be $0.30 cheaper than the store... They charged me $64 for a half tank of gas!!!! I am absolutely livid with this place! They are as corrupt as a business can be! And no I did not get a printout of anything when they had me sign something It was on their little digital pad and he just told me to sign it hit enter and do that four times All the while he was scrolling through all the words just to get me to the bottom to sign.

I understand how disappointing it is when a rental doesnt go as expected, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify what was reviewed. Nevada law does require a minimum level of liability insurance. If a renters personal liability coverage does not meet the minimum 25/50/20 limits, liability coverage must be purchased before the vehicle can be released. This is a state requirement, and the location is obligated to verify coverage at the counter. Regarding the prepaid fuel option, it is charged for a full tank at the time of pickup. Any unused fuel is not credited back, as this option is priced as a flat rate. At the counter, you should have received a copy of your rental agreement showing a full breakdown of the charges and selected options. If proof of full coverage personal auto insurance isnt provided at the time of pickup, insurance must be purchased at the counter to meet these requirements. Our vehicles are required to be fully covered with both collision and liability insurance. It appears your credit card provided collision coverage, but liability had to be added to ensure full protection during your rental. Additionally, the vehicle was returned to *** instead of LaGuardia, which resulted in a drop-off fee to cover the cost of retrieving the vehicle. I also see that you contacted the location promptly about the vehicles condition. The team offered to exchange the car for you since you had just left the office, but it looks like you chose to keep it. Your feedback regarding the vehicles condition has been shared with management so it can be properly addressed. I hope you will allow *** the opportunity to assist you on your future rental needs.
