My car was in an accident in Jan of 2022. I got my car into maaco Feb 23, 2022. Was able to pick up on April 1st, 2022. My total cost in repair was $2826.38 paid by my insurance and I paid $500 out of pocket. I picked up my car and less than a week already was over heating and breaking down. I had zero issues before my accident and before taking it to maaco. Everytime I had issues I was told to bring my car back. The issue could never be resolved. My car had been in and out of their shop about 4 times total between February and July. My car had overheated so much my engine head became warped and I was now needing a new engine in my car. The owner of maaco wanted to make things right and didnt want to pay for someone else to fix his wrong doings, but offered to replace my engine himself for free. I have since been trying to reach the owner and I feel he is avoiding me. He doesnt answer any calls from myself or my insurance company. He doesnt return calls or voicemails. When doing in person visits he is conveniently gone and nobody can tell us when he will be back. I feel like he told me what I wanted to hear and is now avoiding me. I just want him to make things right, or pay me for the car he ruined and I havent been able to drive since January.Business response

My name is *****, and I am the new manager of Maaco Collision Center on ************ South, we had new management and ownership on our location since July 4, 2022, our mission is to provide the customers with the best service possible and leave them with best experience they could have this why we take our job seriously and with commitment to deliver the best.
Regarding **************** repair order I looked into the files and will submit an attached copy of it and more information regarding that from the office stuff members that work here which is for us we don't perform any mechanical repairs in our facility its always paint jobs and collision repairs and for other repair issues its sublet to other dealers and shops.
In her case she drove the car with no fluids or fluids leaking for about 45 minutes and performed mechanical repairs with family members as she menschen to our office members by replacing the thermostat on the car engine before bringing it to our location and after all this the owner offered to help her with the repairs but never mentioned that he will replace or pay for new engine they send the vehicle to a mechanic shop and replace the water outlet on June 7-2022 with her approval and signature the work order after that I never received any calls or emails regarding that case and I've been inside the office since Jully 4.
