As hard as we try and as serious as we take our installs will never make everyone happy. This review is a perfect example. WE DID NOT DO AN INSTALL FOR THIS CLIENT. We are a Preferred Contractor for the TileShop in ****************. #1 on their list. It took us 5-years to get on their list. This prospect called asking about a backsplash job. Our average install is over $7,555 Labor Only. Client lived over an hour away. I literally quoted over the phone. $600 per day. Sounds like a two-day job. She inquired if she could meet one of us. We sent the Actual Installer that would install her backsplash. They hit it off so well she added on to the job. The installer let me know and we have the client communications about extra work. We emailed estimate. The next moment I get a call (*****/Owner) about why I lied on the estimate, numbers, blah blah. I tried to calmy walk through it, but client called me a liar. I shared with her we wouldn't have survived the *************** Recession, Covid, and everything else. If we ran a business where we lied to people doubtful we'd be in business 12+ years. 90% of our business is word-of-mouth. I felt worse for the installer because he lived about an hour and ten minutes from client. Next thing you know TileShop is calling (sent all the proof), husband apologizing for his wife, ...we are a small family run company that tries our best. We pick and chose our installs. Literally trying to destroy our good name and business practices we've built on since 2011. Thankful we didn't install this job.
