On the morning of Wednesday August 30, 2023 I visited Accurate Emission Clinic auto repair business just for a diagnostic check on my **** **** ******** transmission, which is underneath the vehicle,. The Accurate business caused $406.30 worth of damage to my vehicle engine cooling system hoses that are no where near the transmission that in underneath the vehicle and were not related to the issues I described that when I arrived. Accurate assumed I would pay them $406.30 for the damages Accurate did but instead I had my vehicle (that was drivable before and when I arrived at Accurate) towed home. I want the $406.30 price of the damage to my ********************* for Accurate to pay for a more reputable and honest auto repair business to fix the damage they caused. And I still have NO IDEA what it wrong with my transmission, the diagnostic I got was Accurate guessing because after the damage, the diagnostic wasn't completed and I would like the $49.95 back as well because I still don't know what is wrong but the damage that was done by Accurate Emission Clinic to my **** **** ********.Business response

The customer already attached the estimate for repairs of cooling leak and also the receipt of the diagnostics provided.
This information in itself should sufficiently explain the circumstances but I will elaborate.
The customer showed up to diagnose a drivability concern we scanned the vehicle for codes and no codes were stored and all monitors were complete and on a short road-test no drivability concerns were present. Parked vehicle at the door and let run as I came into the office for more clarification of her concern. We spoke and then agreed to drive together and when went back to the vehicle it blew a coolant hose and had coolant all under the truck. She seen and looked under hood and where it was leaking, she stated it has been wet there for the last few days. We let cool down and then attempted to fill the cooling system and pressurize the system to verify the leak source and infact found the coolant bypass hose had split open. It appeared to be an original hose and needed repaired prior to running vehicle any further. There was no damage to customers vehicle she had a component (her component) fail. It simply needs repaired, and she opted to tow it home. These concerns of vehicle damaged are outrageous and not once did she ever voice that position while present at our facility, if she had we would have addressed it in person. She seen the issue acknowledged she had a leak prior and opted to not repair. We essentially performed 2 separate diagnostics at one charge being we performed scan tool diag as well as a cooling system diagnosis as well.
I Hope this clears up this concern and if there is anything else that may be needed or helpful please reach out to our office.
Sincerly

I am rejecting this response because:
RE: 08/31/23 Complaint ID: ********
Company (Accurate Emission Clinic) is being dishonest. On the
morning of Wednesday August 30, 2023 I visited Accurate Emission
Clinic for a diagnostic check, (Monday night driving home from work
my vehicle started slowing down and did not want to accelerate
properly).
While waiting/sitting in their lobby area the Accurate employee
asked me to describe what the issue was again (with my vehicle)
and said they could not find the problem. Would I go for a test
drive with him so I can help him find the issue I described?
When we walked outside my vehicle was parked with the hood up,
engine smoking, and antifreeze pouring out of my vehicle on
the ground everywhere. And the employee told me my vehicle
has to cool down now and could not run a diagnostic check until
this damage was repaired.
Number One: Why did the Accurate employee pretend that my
vehicle was okay in the lobby and pretended that we were about to
go on a test drive?
Number Two: Why did the Accurate employee pretend when we
stepped outside not to know what happened but then was able to
direct me exactly to where (on my vehicle) the antifreeze was
pouring out of my vehicle?
Number Three: The employee never said they ran any diagnostic
check on my vehicle, and that it was only taken for a test drive.
Number Four: I paid $49.95 for Accurate guest/assumption of
what the issue was with my vehicle, I still don't know.
The Company employee was being dishonest and did not even
explain to me how the damage happened to my vehicle while
just on a test drive. And I am a woman and not about to start an
argument or altercation with a man. Or announce to a company
that I am filing a complaint. I drove my vehicle to this place of
business just for a simple diagnostic check, my vehicle
was damaged by them, and I had to get my vehicle towed home.
Respectfully Submitted,

There was absolutely no dishonesty on our part at all. I believe from my last response that his should be a very clear and understandable situation.
The customer simply had a 20 year old vehicle rupture (what appeared to be) an original rubber coolant hose while at our facility. end of story. She brought the car in for a drivability concern, which after scanning entire vehicle and verifying all monitors complete as well and a short road-test and quick visual inspection, the issue was not readily identifiable. Which then led to coming in the office and proceeding to have a conversation with the customer. I myself personally was the "employee". So as to "number one" there was no "pretending" this is what occurred. As to "number two" as there was coolant all over and could clearly see where it had originated from as it was clearly visible as the hose was blown wide open. As for "number three" she most definitely was told the vehicle was scanned with no codes and all monitors were complete (an indicator that the codes were not recently cleared) and also test drove.
In closing, In no way shape or form did myself or anyone else at our facility "damage" her vehicle. She simply has an older vehicle and an old deteriorated rubber hose (likely 20 years old) happened to fail at this time and place. I take offense to this entire issue as it was explained well to the customer and she even stated she had been seeing coolant leaking from this area the past few days. Those were her words. Whether it had been or not none of it changes the fact that an old deteriorated rubber hose burst and failed.
I hope this settles this concern.
Respectfully

I am rejecting this response because: On August 30, 2023 Accurate Emissions Clinic mechanics were very careless, extremely reckless, and unnecessary rough with my vehicle. I only visited there place of business to have a diagnostic check/test done. Accurate Emissions Clinic damaged my vehicle, their was NO antifreeze shooting or pouring out of any hose, until they touched my vehicle. I should have been able to leave Accurate Emissions Clinic with my vehicle in the same condition it was when I arrived. Accurate Emission Clinic caused serious damage to my vehicle then asked me to pay them $405 to fix the damage that wasn't there before they touched it, and so they could do the diagnostic check/test that I came their for. I had to work and ended up missing over a week trying to find other transportation. I am also trying to move and cannot because my vehicle is completely down because of Accurate Emission Clinic damage to it. I paid $49.95 for an diagnostic check/test that was never done with my vehicle. The receipt does not say what the issue was, it only consist of them guessing what the problem was. I still have NO idea what was wrong with my vehicle before they caused the damage to it. Accurate Emissions Clinic needs to pay for the damage they caused to my vehicle and refund me for an diagnostic check/test never done. Accurate Emissions Clinic owes me $406 for the damage to my vehicle and a refund of $49.95.
Please Note: I think this is not the first time Accurate Emission Clinic has damaged a customers vehicle. I believe the ****** ******** ****** should post a sign inside this place of business with there contact email address, phone number, and mailing address with note to their customers to contact the BBB if you filled Accurate Emissions Clinic has damaged their vehicle.
