The president of the company needs to learn how to run his business with some integrity. About a year ago i started noticing our laminate floor was lifting at the edges. He came out said he would submit a claim and we would watch for anything getting worse. I quote we take care of our customers. We want you to tell your friends about us. lets just watch it and call me if it gets worse. Fast forward a year, our floor is worse in several places. He gets in a yelling battle with my husband over the phone making it so my husband couldnt get a word out. He stated your claim has been denied Im looking right at it. So I called asking for a copy of the claim. When I called and called with no response I called the flooring manufacturer only to find he NEVER submitted a claim. He LIED. I continued to submit my own claim but mannington stated the way their product was manufactured was proper. They never returned my call when I went to question that their product may be made correctly but its not wearing well. My floor is 4.5 years old and needs replaced. I had Another lady come out from contract interiors to give me some help which she assured me she would. That never happened. I had to call and email before I ever got a response. She was super apologetic for her boss and his lack of integrity and said she would fix things. She left my house saying she will try to find the year of the product to replace the places she even thought needed it. Once the company had their so called group meeting I got an email!!!!! Not even the courtesy of a phone call after everything we went through to tell me they werent doing anything for me. Not even fixing the bad places. SHAME on this company. Shame on their boss and shame on the people who sweet talked us into thinking we were getting some kind of help. We never asked for a whole floor replacement, we never asked for money, we simply asked for a solution and some help resolving this issue after spending thousands of dollars on our floor that should have lasted. He told us our floor was waterproof and could withstand a bucket of water for 24 hrs with no damage. My floor cant handle my kids spilling a tiny spill without being right behind them with a rag. Never again will I do business with these snakes. His attitude is nothing I would consider president worthy. I would be ashamed to work for a man with no morals.

Contract Interiors, Inc. **** *** ***** **** *****, IN. ***** Phone ***** ******** Fax ***** ******** September 30, 2021 BBB of Northern Indiana **** ******* ****** ************, IN ***** Dear ******: Contract Interiors, Inc. completed installation of ***** and ***** ****’s new laminate flooring on June 13, 2016, through Windsor Homes at ***** ********** ***** **** *****, IN *****. ***** **** contacted the owner Stacey ****** in July 2020 reporting peaking edges in her laminate flooring. Stacey inspected their floors on July 16, 2020. Stacey reported that there was no visible peaking or edge swelling in her laminate planks. Stacey only noticed a small more visible area by the stool. Stacey also asked ***** what she used to clean her floors. Stacey discovered that she was using a sheet vinyl cleaner mixed with water. Stacey documented his findings and conclusion of no warranted claim. On August 17, 2021, ***** contacted our store and spoke to Stacey reporting that their dishwasher leaked, and he wanted to know how to utilize the 24-hour warranty to fix the peaking edges. Stacey informed him that there was no 24-hour warranty or one that would apply to this situation and directed him towards contacting his insurance company and a plumber regarding the leak. Kasey then contacted the store upset with Stacey and how she perceived he handled their situation in talking with her husband. Diana *********** spoke with ***** and tried to assist her. ***** informed Diana that Stacey lied to her because he never filed a claim with ********** when he inspected her floors in 2020 and he lied regarding the cleaning products that she used on her laminate floors. ***** related that she contacted ********** and discovered that a claim was never filed on her laminate floors. She voiced that she filed a claim with ********** and mailed a plank for testing on August 20, 2021. Diana instructed ***** that she would contact ********** to further investigate the claim. Diana contacted ********** regarding the claim. ********** sent Diana a letter denying the claim of any manufacturer related issues. ********** also confirmed that the ****’s claim of edge swelling appeared consistent with site related damage. Furthermore, ********** indicated that the spill shield warranty did not come into effect until January 2017. Based on their records and ****’s flooring labels, their floors were manufactured and purchased before this date. At this point, Diana contacted ***** and emailed her the denial letter received from **********. ***** asked Diana if we could provide any further plan or proposal for repairing or replacing the areas of her concern. Diana suggested that Mark, co-owner, and partner, could come and examine her floors. ***** agreed and requested that Diana attend the inspection with Mark to provide a woman’s perspective. Mark and Diana met ***** at their home on September 8, 2021, to inspect the marked areas of laminate. Mark communicated that there was no visible peaking or lifting or swelling of edges in their laminate flooring. He only noticed a slightly visible area by the stool and the dishwasher from the recent reported leak. ***** expressed that it was noticeable to them. Mark could not even get a photo showing any visible issue. Mark mentioned that their laminate of 2016 may not have the same milling as the laminate of 2021 so we would have to purchase a carton to check them together before devising any plan. After the inspections, the ********** claim findings and further discussion of all information and the customer’s clear and extreme displeasure with our company, it was determined that it would be best for all if we respectfully declined any further work on their flooring. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact Diana *********** or Stacey ****** @ ***** ********.

**********************************************************************: *********************, ****************************** ***********************************************: ********** *****, **** Reference No. ******** - This letter is in reference to the above-mentioned claim filed on ***** ****s ********** Laminate floor. We appreciate your bringing the situation to our attention and giving us the opportunity to investigate further. After assessing the details of the claim, it has been determined that ********** is unable to provide any adjustments because the claim is not for a warranted condition. Specifically, the claim was for chips and edge swell. In review of the information provided no manufacturing defects have been noted. The photos show chips and edge swell, these concerns are not consistent with a manufacturing error. The edge swell and chips seen appear to be consistent with locally caused damage. Please know that all decisions are based on a thorough investigation of the information provided, and by following the terms of the product warranty. At **********, we greatly value customer relationships. Should you have further questions or need assistance in any other matter, please call me at *********** ** (********). After the inspections, which did not disclose any visible peaking or swelling of edges in their laminate flooring or evidence of negligence on the part of Contract Interiors, the ********** claim filings and further discussion of all relevant information and the customer's clear and extreme displeasure with our company, it was determined that it would be best for all if we respectfully declined any further wok on their flooring."
