The Klopfenstein Inn photos do not reflect all the rooms... the 2nd floor is long term stays * like apts. *. Lower floor - daily check in & short stays. Parking is limited. Carpets are a bit worn down,modern style lobby - very limited staffing...a phone is provided at the front *********** 1 to contact staff.They do not have a credit card reader for chip, magnetic strip, tap & go, your card # is typed in with the computer check in monitor facing a massive mirror for all to view.The OAK salon is back, they do a great job on both ************* hair.The breakfast service ( hard boiled eggs , toast, cold cereals, milk, coffee, tea, hot chocolate ... dropped down to coffee, **************** beds - ****** ***** outdoor pool - pool deck patched many times, chain link fence is in needs repair ( limited season - opens late, closes early - not posted hours, potluck. ), staff that doubles as the cleaning crew ...who we have seen putting in the extra effort to get the motel ready. Broken and mismatched wall lights and leaking drain pipes . You may have only 24 or 27 TV stations, just bring a ROKU or use the wifi. No password protection, they advertise this.They list this motel as Non smoking , look around the parking lot to see the cigarette butts..Yes there is smoking in the rooms. it is just a older motel being spruced up to bring it up to modern standards. Klopfensteins no longer are the motel managers, that has been placed in the hands of hired staff, It is not the same as when the owners daughter ran it. You judge. Room locks,( hallway area ) can have their tops ( plastic portion, where you place your card to get in ) pulled off by hand and the lock power system can be fully open to anyone without use of tools. Camera system installed after. Ash trays mounted on the walls next to the entrance doors.Do not try to get out or in the hotel when the local workers - Magnavox Business park - get to or go home from work.
