On July 15th I went to D and B Sales to see how much it would cost to have subwoofer installed in my Mustang also I need to buy an amplifier and wiring kit. I spent $635 for parts and installation of my speaker. I told the guy who made my appointment and sold me the other things that I needed that I had a subwoofer that needed to be installed and that was the main reason I went to them. I dropped off my car on July 23rd and picked it up later that day after hours. I saw that the bass control was install but the subwoofer that I provided had not been installed. I called them the next day about this and the guy who answered the phone said someone should have told me it was going to be an additional $85 to install my subwoofer. I explained to him that they were already told about the subwoofer so they should have already been in the price that I paid.Business response

Good afternoon *******, Here is a statement from what happened during ********************* installation.
I have included a copy of his receipt along with our price sheet.
Orange highlighted is what he paid for
Pink is what he has stated we didnt do as you can see on the receipt he was never charged for what he stated he paid for.
When the appointment was made the customer stated that subwoofer box was a normal box. Normally we would not charge to do a easy sub hook up. The subwoofer was a car specific box and to install you have to pull the subwoofer out of the box and use bolts to secure it to the vehicle in the location it was made for wire it up and reinstall the subwoofer. Normally a half and hour plus in time to do. The customer was late by 45 minutes so that set back the installer back that day also. There was obvious miscommunication with the customer and the ************************* as it was never states it was a custom subwoofer box. As he said in his email it would cost ***** to install this is correct as it is not our equipment and not a normal subwoofer installation.

I am rejecting this response because: the sales person knew exactly what I wanted installed because I should him the website where I got the subwoofer from (americanmuscle.com) because he needed to know how many ohms it took. I would have gladly paid the extra cost to have it installed if ANYONE would have said something, rather they did nothing and left me with a subwoofer just bouncing around in my trunk. And as far as me being late yes I was but I told them that I could not get out of work at that time, furthermore, I told them that since it was a big deal that I was late that I would just return the items that I had purchased and go somewhere else, they came back with, "we can get you in if you leave your car with us all day", once again another smoke screen of half truths from this company.Business response

Im sorry you feel that there is smoke and half truths in this situation but i have stated the facts at hand. Prices for labor and such have been listed, We tried to help the customer in this situation and install the equipment when the customer was not able to make it on time even when verifying the day before. We call the night before to verify time for appointments so our installers do not get stuck with no call no shows. if they are not working they do not get paid. So of course my installer stayed later then normal to accommodate the install of the vehicle. My sales men said he was not shown any information or websites about the subwoofer and took it at face value as being a normal subwoofer box. As stated before in the original reply there is a added charge to do a custom subwoofer install like that as you have to pull the subwoofer from the encloser wire the encloser mount the encloser from the inside and reinstall the subwoofer. As shown in the first reply there are added charges for these types of enclosures. The customer was never taken advantage of or charged more then what was done. There might of been some miscommunication between the customer and the ************************* but i dont see it anything more then that. Im am not understanding what the customer would like us to do at this point or what he is wanting us to do in this situation.
