Ace Roofing Co is very deceiving. In Nov of 2022, I signed a contract with Ace Roofing Co that said I would pay in full once the project completed. They noted it was completed end of 12/2023. But it was completed until Feb 2023, even though they billed me before it was completed. My account of $11,000 was hacked into. So in March, I paid $1000 the bill pay. I also paid in April 2023 in the amount of $700. The owner called me and asked me if I wanted to applied for 6 months free interest rate loan. It was denied... and I was told to call Transunion. Because it was hack, Transunion was working with me. I also informed **** in Finance the agreement I had with the owner. I informed them I will provide them about $4000 payments once the check gets cleared. The owner said he would waive all fee once I paid in full. I was completed surprise out of no w***e that in April over a week ago, that I received law suit letter if I didn't pay in full by certain date. Even though the $4,000 was on its way to them. I have not missed any payments since March. I was working with them in trying to get a loan. But I was waiting for $4,000 to come thru which it did. The finance person, **** seemed to be irritated with me at times. When they sent me that letter, they only acknowledged I paid $1000 and nothing about $700. The reference back to Dec 2022 when the bill generated and not in Feb. 2023. When they sent to me it was thru the email. I was able to reply back. But when they continued to respond to me, I couldn't reply back. I had to go back to original letter ot***wise, I wasn't able to respond. I sent message and overwhelmed what just happened. I asked them last Friday April 26, to honor the verbal agreement. They never replied. I then had to make arrangements of paying my ot*** bills to make sure I sent them $2,000 by this week. My concerns why did they provided me a verbal agreement when they don't accept it and why do the process of loan applications when they didn't....

This claim is totally unfounded. Ace Roofing and Construction never "hacked" your account. When we completed the job as it is stated on the contract payment was due. No one at Ace ever mentioned "suing" or taking legal action towards you. Any letter that you received was not from our lawyers.  Also in response to you claim about payment arrangements once we verified your verbal commitment with ****** we took care of all the finance charges and even refunded you $300.00 that was applied to the finance charges. When payments w***e made we applied them to your account and even sent a monthly statement to you. The office per your repeated request ran the application for finance even though we told you that it would go against your credit, and was denied, you w***e told that in 7-10 business days you would receive a letter from ********* Bank explaining their findings and that is you wanted to dispute you could do so through them.

I am waiting for to respond in regarding to the comment from ACE Roofing.

I did receive a letter of lawsuit sent via an email. I never mentioned about "hacked my account". The company's response is still misleading and manipulative. We were in the middle of the process of applying for the loan mentioned by ******. I was instructed to contact the finance company to apply for 6 months free finance. This process took time because the finance company denied for uncertain reasons. I was told by **** to debate the application that denied. They instructed me to contact the credit agency to repair any errors. They instructed me to reapply by reaching out to ACE Roofing. I received one letter by them and was waiting on the last application denied letter and reason for this. This took more than 7-10 days. I only received one billing statement and not monthly statement but the job was not completed until Feb. The Feb/March statement stated $400 in fee. ****** said he would wave the fee once the payment was paid in full. The bill generated in Dec of 2022 and not Feb 2023 when the job was completed. I was making payments in March and April. Which the April payment was held back. The demand payment letter gave an amount that was due. I overpaid $300 and had no idea of any fee at the time I made the payment in full. According to this letter, I owe $8200, paid $1000, and $700 which left the balance of $6,500. There was no fee added to this amount. Therefore when I overpaid $300, I was surprised to hear that $300 went to the fee. Even the responses sent via email also stated the amount of payment was total of $8200. Even the responses is very confusing which does not accept the verbal agreement or accept verbal agreement. I had sent a letter requesting to honor the verbal agreement and there was never a response. The owner and **** was aware of the $4,000 that was coming in. ****** wanted to wait until the $4,000 receive before working on the rest of the balance. I strongly believe this was unnecessary how they handled this. I was paying them each month and was working with the company.

I am not sure how we are misleading or manipulative, we provided you with an estimate and you signed the estimate which made it a contract. We completed the work for you and requested payment. This lawsuit letter you are referring to is a collection letter not a lawsuit letter. It did not come from our lawyers as we did not contact our lawyers to do so.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The last response stated the letter was a collection. The letter clearly stated they wanted all the payment in full or otherwise by May. As I stated again, it was unnecessary how they handled this when they were receiving the amounts and clearly informed the process of receiving the payment. As I stated ****** was willing to work in receiving the payments. **** was completely aware of this. The response denied that the letter was not received from the company. Denied that in this letter only asking for the amount owed and nothing mentioned about any fee. Denied that there was verbal agreement prior in receiving this lawsuit letter. Denied that I had asked to honor the agreement which was the verbal agreement. Denied in acknowledging the company was informed payments were in process. Denied that the company sent messages with no reply which was trying to stop the communication flow to come to an agreement. Denied in acknowledging they held my check of $700. Yes this is deceptive and manipulative.

      Thank you!

I will say maybe mis-communication or the "verbal agreement" not being conveyed to the office. We had not received any payment since it was going through snail mail. For that we are not responsible, also we had called several times and not return call was given back. So yes a letter was mailed which is our standard collection letter. Then we received payment and everything was applied to your account and a refund check of $300.00 was sent to you.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: It was wrong what the company did knowing they were getting paid, knowing they knew they were receiving money, knowing I had every pay it off with one month. But I would have gotten stuck with court fees, and mark on my credit report.

      Sincerely,

      *** ******
