I highly recommend *********************** Enterprises for your roofing needs. *****************************, Sales Manager was so easy to work with. He initially inspected roof to determine the need for replacement due to hail damage. He guided me in the insurance process and was present when the insurance inspector completed review. I was approved for 100% replacement and everything from start to finish was completed in 6 weeks. The actual roof installation was completed in a day. Everything cleaned up. Crew was so friendly. This company is the worse company to deal with. First they come out and give me an estimate of hail damage, then once the work was completed they tell me we owe this number and that is the final number, then I get an invoice with an additional charge of $3,300.00 because they had to do something more to the roof that was NOT in the estimate that they gave me. Their own worker that came to my house even said they did not quote this correctly, they underestimated the work to be done. Had 3 boxes of material that was returned and that was NOT deducted off my bill either.And no one told me there was any additional work to be done outside of what was on the estimate/contact. We should of been made aware that prior to them doing the addl work that is on the company their error not on the customer.And now I receive a letter saying that if I don't pay the additional cost they will put a LIEN on my house. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.Then they say to call this number I emailed and also called the number provided to me 2X since receiving the letter yesterday and it says the number is no available for the call.SCAM SCAM SCAM to make more money off a customer. Again DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.Also there were nails left everywhere in my yard that was not cleaned up and I had to come through my yard and driveway so my mower wouldn't break or get a flat tire on my car.Joseph-James Enterprises, Inc. We utilized Joseph James Enterprises in June of 2020, but the entirety of the work was not completed until 2021. Within 6 months of installation of the roof, we began to see ongoing concerns in our roof, attic (beginning of mold), ventilation and damage to our second floor ceilings. We attempted to have this fixed and treated by *********************** in March of 2021 and again on January 6, 2023 as damages increased. *********************** has refused to take responsibility for the damage. As the homeowners, we took the time and financial stress of obtaining multiple reports from other companies such as having two accredited roofing companies write summaries of the problem, Restoration 1 (mold inspection), and Clean Air Asbestos and Mold Control all indicating the damage needing to be repaired. All reports provided by these companies indicated that all damage in the attic as well as the second floor ceilings was a direct result of the improperly ventilated roof that ********************* Enterprises completed. *********************** reported that the damage is related to low insulation in the attic of our home and refused to take accountability for their mistakes, however, we have camera footage (January 9, 2023) of them coming to our home without our knowledge and permission while we were at work and installed two vents, where they originally put shingles over. If this is not a ventilation concern why would they come back without our knowledge or permission and install two vents? Joseph James Enterprises was unwilling to resolve any of these issues and unresponsive to some of our phone calls and emails despite multiple attempts and documentation provided. On two separate occasions, *********************** Enterprises conducted comprehensive inspections at your home in response to reported warranty issues for roof leaks. In both instances, our warranty inspection led to the same conclusion: the moisture present was due to condensation and not a roof leak. Additionally, during both inspections, we determined that the condensation issues were directly related to the insulation in your attic, with some areas having excessive insulation while others lacked sufficient insulation.Regarding the attic insulation, our inspection revealed an uneven distribution, with some areas having excessive insulation and others lacking sufficient insulation. This imbalance could be a result of improper installation or the insulation shifting over time. Excessive airflow from the soffit vents may also be a contributing factor to the problem.During our inspection of the property's exterior, we observed an excessive number of soffit vents. Typically, the standard recommendation is one square foot of ventilation for every 150 square feet of attic area. However, your current soffit ventilation surpasses this recommendation, leading to an abundance of airflow. This excessive ventilation could be causing the insulation to shift and contributing to the condensation buildup.We have conducted multiple visits to your home, thoroughly documented our findings, and remain confident in our assessment. All the relevant information has been communicated to you. We understand your concerns and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you are currently facing. However, we want to emphasize that none of the issues you are experiencing are a result of the work we were contracted to do.
