I bought a truck, 2007 **** f150 XLE, white from Chicago Car Master for $6500 after fees, on December 15 2023, during my test drive I used an Obd2 to see if there where any issues, nothing came up on the dash, nothing came up on the obd2, after about 3 hours once Im home I have a break lights pop up and other issues. This is a common sign that they removed the battery before I came knowing I was looking at the car that day so the codes wont show on an obd2. I HEAVILY suspect this because when I was originally going to come, he told me to come the next day so he could get the car ready, seems very suspicious. On top of this over a full month is passed and I still do not have a title for the car (they are legally obliged to get me it). Overall I highly highly believe there was foul play here in removing a battery prior to me coming so all the check lights wouldnt pop up. This incident just doesnt sit right with me because I know their is absolutely no way the truck could have got problems within 3 hours when I only drove it straight to my house (8 mins away). I truly believe there was foul play here.

Well, I am sorry to hear that but I will strongly suggest him to talk to me first before he made a complain. Why the customer did not contact me the next day or so.  I really did not do anything what a customer think. I can try to help him to fix that brake light. Other thing about the Title and that's from the Secretary of ***************** Usually it takes 6 to 8 weeks without holidays period. When he bought the truck that was Christmas and New Years holidays. He can contact them directly or call me and I can guide that, too. It's 2006 Old truck and things pop up sometimes but talk to me or bring it here and let me see what's the issue with the brake light. It might be a simple bulb or switch.

      Thank you

I purchased a used car on 10/3/2022 from Chicago Car Master. At the time of purchase the air conditioning was not working. Before I purchased the car I had tried to negotiate on the price so I can fix the ** and the dealer said he would fix it. On the AS IS warranty he wrote in "will fix **" so I felt confident it would be repaired. He sent me to his mechanic he uses on 10/8/2022 and I assumed the ** was fixed. Because it was October, I did not have to use the ** for several months. When I went to use it in the summer it did not work. I called the dealer and he told me to take it to my mechanic and see what is wrong. I went to my mechanic on 6/1/2023 and was told the issue and paid to have it investigated. When I spoke with the dealer he said to take it back to his mechanic. I took it back to his mechanic and it seemed to be resolved, and now it is not working again. When I told the dealer he said deal with the mechanic, when I talked to the mechanic he said I had to deal with the dealer. Neither is taking responsibility or willing to repair the **. Since purchasing this car less than a year ago I have had to replace 2 tires, I have the ** issue, and I have found that it needs a new catalytic converter. The relationship between the dealer and the mechanic is ***** and the mechanic told me a year ago when I attempted to have the ** repaired the dealer told him to "add freon so I can sell the car.".

      Hello,

I have Sold this car last year October, 2022 with "AS IS" signed disclosure from the buyer. Air condition was blowing low air and I sent this car to ******** Care, Mechanic Shop for fix. Customer took the car over there and they have fixed the problem along with another problem TPMS sensor issue. I have paid them for both but did not see at that time that they did not mentioned about A/c fixed in the invoice. However, customer knew and acknowledge that both issues has been taken care. She called me again in the month of June this year and told me A/c is not working again and I have wrote down that I will Fix it. I told her that was done last year when you bought but bring it again with the same shop who fixed last time. It should be under Warranty from them. When she brought the car at this time Mechanic shop told me that this car has recently minor accident or fender ****** in front and we won't give warranty for that. I told the shop, please go ahead and fix the issue whatever it has. They have found the leak in the A/c Compressor and they have fixed the issue. I have attach the invoice for that. Now, her father and herself keep calling me to pay extra money which I am not liable for that. They have been threatening me. I don't know his father or whoever her loved one because that person did not come to buy the car. I never have any issue with any of my customer from last 25 years in business. When she filed the complain, I had an emergency and I was in the Hospital and could not pick up her call. They both have harassed me and texted me very bad, which i have saved both persons text. I told them last time, she should take this car back to the shop who have fixed again. And she does not want to take it over there.

I am rejecting this response because: This is not accurate.  When I purchased this vehicle in Oct 2022 I took it to my mechanic prior to purchase.  At that time my mechanic gave me a list of things that were wrong with the car including the **.  I accepted that I would do the repairs, but I wanted the dealer to take money off the price so I can fix the **.  That is when he told me he would fix it.  I wanted that in writing on the warranty and he added it as in the attached picture.  He told me where he wanted me to take the car to have the ** repaired so I took the car to ProCare in *******, ** where he knew the owner.  The ** was fixed but I was told at the time that it was just low on freon and had no leaks so they just filled it up.  I also had a sensor fixed which I paid for directly to ************.  I was concerned about the fact that nothing had been fixed with the ** and being October it would several months before I would use it again.  I expressed my concern to the dealer and he told me he would fix that if it happened.

Another issue that came up with the car was the check engine light went on within the first couple of weeks of having the car.  When I took it to my mechanic they advised the catalytic convertor needs to be replaced.  I didn't bring up this issue to the dealer because I knew it wasn't under warranty, but I do question that the light came on so quickly after I bought the car.

In June when the weather warmed, the ** did not work as I suspected may happen.  I called the dealer to advise.  He told me to take the car to my shop and find out what was wrong.  I did and I paid my shop $150 for the time it took them to determine the issue.  They said there was a leak.  I called *** and told him the findings.  My shop wanted $400 for the repair.  He told me that was too expensive and I needed to take it to ************ (his friend's shop) or he would just send me $200.  I took it to the shop.  They said it was fixed and I also paid out of my own pocket to have the two front tires replaced.  The ** was fine for a few weeks but stopped working.  When I called the dealer he refused to repair.  When I took the care to ************ they refused to repair.  They also told me that back in Oct 2022 when I first sent the car there the dealer, *** told them "just fill it with freon so I can sell the car".  It is my understanding that the dealer and ************ have severed their relationship and will no longer work together.  I am caught in the middle.  My ex-husband has been trying to reach *** and so have I to find out why he won't fix the car.  We were not harassing him but we did call and text and received no answer.  My ex-husband went to his shop and he was not there, but his next door neighbor was and offered to call *** for us.  When the neighbor called, he answered right away.  That is when he told my ex that he was in the hospital and he would call us back.  He never did.  We had to call him and again he refused to fix the issue.  The "threats" he is claiming are reporting him to the BBB or taking him to small claims court.  These are not threats, they are next steps if not resolved.

I feel like I did everything that was asked of me to get this car repaired.  I was promised the ** would be fixed and it wasn't.  Now I am out the $150 that I paid my mechanic to look at the ** and I will have to pay more to have it fixed.  ************ is saying *** is a liar.  *** is saying ************ is a liar.  Nobody is standing behind the promises they made and I have this kid who has no ** in her car.

      Sincerely,

      *********************

Customer has to take that car back to ************ who previously fixed . I am not responsible for that. I have attached the receipt earlier that I paid for the work what it needed. ************ told me, car had an accident after they've fixed the first time in last November 2022. That's why it leaked again and they have fixed again.

I am rejecting this response because:
      Hello,

I am replying because this has not been settled and the claim from the business that the car was in a car accident are completely false.

I am just astounded the lengths this business is going to NOT honor their promise.

      Thank you,
