I received a phone call from this business. The gentleman said he was collecting debt from 2013 or 2014 from EZ Money. I reached out to what is known now as Speedycash. They looked up my account and said that is was filed in my bankruptcy from 2012 and that it had not been referred to a collection agency. The gentleman was very nice. I asked him to provide me in writing the information on the debt such as a contract and the the last payment amount that he said was received in 2017. This phone call was very disturbing. They had pulled my credit report and was telling me about my current debts. I will be reaching out to the **************** *********************** to get information on this company and the statue of limitations. If this is a true debt that is owed, I would like to get a copy of the contract that I signed and information on the last payment that was received. This company even had bank information from a previous bank account that I had. What was more concerning I have been with my current bank since 2014. How can they put something on my credit from 2014 or 2017.

I got a phone call at my work and I called to request a letter. I received the letter and it is from a creditor that I do not owe nor have I ever owed. So I sent them an email and a letter to cease and desist any calls or letters to me. Hopefully this works because they have been calling my work.

C&M Associates phone number ************* located in ***********, ** has called me and my parents, whom I no longer live with and whose phone number would not be the same as it was when I supposedly incurred the debt, they are supposedly trying to collect. I asked the gentleman who called me his name is *************************** for any information he had on the debt they were trying to collect as I have never done business with an EZ Corp EZ Money before, he gave dates in 2014 and told me money was deposited into my checking account and he even knew my former address and my former employer but that was all the information he had he then transferred me to his supervisor who was a woman and whose name I can't remember and she told me a totally different date than he did from 2013 and she told me I should go to my bank to get more information on this loan after giving me a deposit date. First of all I went to my bank and there is no deposit from any payday loan company on or around the time they claim this was deposited so I then called EZ Corp EZ Money who has numerous complaints about the same type of thing happening to many many other people on the Better Business Bureau's website and they even have a warning about this type of thing on their BBB profile and she said they get between ****** calls a day about this same situation. She ran my name and social security number through her database and confirmed I have never done business with them. She said I should reach out to the ************************ to report this as it is a scam which I have done. They claim they did their due diligence but I think not since this is clearly happening to a ton of others. I asked the *** to shut this company down.

On 01/22/2024, I received a phone call from phone number ************. I did not answer but the caller left a voicemail. In the voicemail, a person stated their name is *************************? on behalf of C & M Associates Group. The caller stated that there is a time sensitive matter that needs my urgent attention and advised me to call ************. I researched this number and it returns to C & M Associates Group. I contacted C & M Associates Group and spoke with someone that sounded exactly like the caller that left the voicemail. He advised that he is attempting to collect a debt and advised that the debt occurred in 2013 and that the original creditor is EZCorp EZMoney. I researched EZCorp EZMoney and found out that they used to be a payday loan service that was shut down by the *** in 2015. I knew in fact that I have never had business with this company and have never taken out a payday loan. I relayed this to the caller and he began to state that he has all of my information. He told me he knows my address, my social, my previous employer, and my bank account information and correctly told me this information. He said the debt is real and I am liable for it. I again told him I am confident that I did not ever have business with EZ Corp in any way and asked for proof. He stated that they would put the debt in dispute and that they would provide proof that the debt was real and that I can compare signatures to show it's mine. I was able to locate a number for EZCorp's corporate office and contacted them. A recording played saying "If you receive a call or letter stating you owe money on a debt do not pay and contact local law enforcement". I spoke with a customer service agent and she looked up my info to determine if I was ever a customer. She advised that there is no record that I had ever had business with them in any way and never owed a debt. The customer service agent also advised me to contact the ***. I contacted C & M Associates group and spoke with ******. I told him what ****** told me and that I will contact the ***. ****** quickly stated that I shouldn't worry about it and that they've already closed the debt and that I don't owe anything. This seems odd that a debt collection company is trying to intimidate me by telling me my personal information and demanding payment but then quickly decides to just close the account. I feel that they are operating in a fraudulent matter with ghost debts seeing who they can go after that will pay money on a debt they don't actually owe.

I received a call from a man, supposedly ********************* that said he had a MC credit card balance from me from a **********, ** address. **************** ** said i had made a few payments on it and it was unable to be listed as fraud. ALL LIES. He said the card was from a Mid ************* of MO for the amount of $1,360.00 and he needed me to pay the full amount the telephone number was ************. He also mentioned a 1st Bank of MO, But was real vague when i kept questioning him about the names of these banks. He had my full social security number. And when i called them back it sounded shady, a young **** connected me to him. the hours of operation listed on their voicemail is shadier, like 3 days a week, 9am to 2pm. They said the credit card number ended with #**** and that's all they could tell me. They urgently needed a payment before destroying my credit. I did briefly live at this address with a teacher/ mentor for about 2mos. But that was over 15 years ago and my teacher moved from there over ten years ago and have been dead for 5 years. This is a fraud, as i have never had a credit card other than retail stores. I only deal with debit cards. I did check the telephone number online and it was linked to C&M Associates website looked very unprofessional or very primary.
