My wife and I contracted with this contractor to design, remove old plants and install new plantings on 2/25/22. Their representative (*********************) stated that they would contact us at least two weeks before they planned to start. Their office called us on 5/19/22, and told us that **** had left and another individual would be doing the job and they wanted to start tomorrow morning. I told them they were supposed to give us a couple weeks notice and that we were not ready for them to begin.Since that time they have not contacted us to begin the contract. I spoke to their office personnel both ******** and **** numerous times with the last time being 9/6/22. They told us that their individual (****) would call us on 9/13/22 and would begin the week of 9/19/22. We still have not heard from them.Business response

This proposal and contract was written with a member of our team who is no longer working for us. We were prepared to do the perform the contracted work for the homeowner. They let us know that they were "not ready" for the job to be completed yet. We let the homeowner know that they would be added to the end of the list and it would be a while before we would be able to get to his job. They were supposed to notify us of when they were ready for us to complete the work. As I'm sure you know, the landscape season is a short one in the Chicagoland area. We try our best to accommodate all of our customers in as timely a manner as possible. But, By the time we were given the go ahead, our schedule had become extremely full. There was no money exchanged between the homeowner and our firm. We understand their frustration with the situation, but it was frustrating on our end as well. Obviously, we are in business to make money and complete as much work as possible. We have been in business since **** and situations like this have rarely come about. This seems to be a big miscommunication.
Also, please do not include Perricone ************* and Nursery in this complaint as they had nothing to do with the situation. They are a completely separate corporation and had no knowledge or contact with this homeowner.
