Signed a lease with tech capital for 4 years . 8/14/19 . Lease ended in 23 , have tried called them since before the contract expired to try to cancel it as we upgraded to a new POS system . Could not reach them exactly how many people also complain about . After years of trying to get a hold of them and trying to dispute it we finally close the bank account from where they kept taking my money this year (2025) . They finally reach out to me to ask for the 3 months they havent been able to charge me . Telling me I have to pay for them to close the account . This scam company only reaches out to you if you stop paying . They wont go out of their way to contact you once your contract is about to expire but only after you dont pay . Not only do I want my contract to be terminated but I would like all the months we paid for that we havent used their services or devices. Never do business with them .

I reviewed the complaint and the communications between our customer service department and employees at Columbia Diner. When we experienced the first delinquency from the business we attempted to email the personal guarantor of the business (***** ****), but the email was undeliverable. We then phoned the business repeatedly over the next few months, only to speak with employees of the business. They kept stating that Mr. **** would call us back, which never happened. On one of our calls on May 22nd with a co-worker of the business, they stated that the business was still using our equipment. A week later on another call with the business we were told that they are using a different piece of equipment, however the business never sent our equipment back to us per the terms and conditions of the lease contract. On June 3rd we called again and spoke with *****, the manager. He agreed to pay us the past due balance of $151.17 in exchange for closing the lease. A follow up call was made on June 6th to *****, the manager. He stated he has not looked at the invoice we emailed to the corrected email account on June 3rd, but would over the weekend and send us the payment so we could close the lease, even without returning our equipment. I am perplexed at why this would end up being a complaint when a negotiated settlement had already taken place. We are still willing to settle as agreed to on June 3rd.

When I started my business in January of 2023 I signed up with Tech Capital. At first communication was good and why wouldnt it be a new business opened and they wanted to show us what they could do It went down hill after that, I spent MONTHS trying to get our *** ***** to come in and see me to go cover issues with the account in regards to billing and in regards to the equipment they provided and never got responses I had to call and complain that we werent getting anywhere and they finally had our *** reach back out after 6 months of not seeing the guy - he came one time and after that disappeared AGAIN, that would be the last time saw him we switched companies and of course it turns out they credit card processing fee they told me would be charged was higher than originally stated. They NEVER told me about a $50.00 a month fee I was being charged for not being compliant with a credit card training I was supposed to take to be complaint, which was never stated to me I needed to do!!! This place is terrible and will charge every bit of the agreement and not back up their end of the lease at all

I reviewed the notes on the equipment lease for El Pollo Vagabundo, which was signed by the owner ******* **** *****-*****, whom also signed as personal guarantor for the performance of the lease. We only received 20 of the contractual 48 payments. When El Pollo Vagabundo stop payments we reached out via phone and email to collect payments to no avail. There was a negotiated buyout to return the equipment, but it never took place and we never received our equipment. We charged the equipment lease off of our books for a loss and sent it off to an outside collections firm to attempt to recover any losses possible. I am willing to settle this in some fashion, but would like to have our equipment returned. If we can get our equipment back, I will communicate with the collections firm and see how we can settle this.

It seems that El Pollo Vagabundo primary issues stem from the relationship they have with the sales **** The sales *** does not work for us so I am unable to comment on any of those issues concenring him or the organization he works for.

There is a signed Tech Capital contract from 8/2018 to 8/2022 for $66/month. Though it is my signature, the rest of the form is not my handwriting (and the business address is also incorrect). I have no idea what this company is or what services I was being provided. I have been charged $76.20 monthly from 8/2018 to 1/2025. The contract expired in 2022, yet I have continued to get charged (and, a different amount than what the contract states). I did not have any contact information for this company and my bank could not provide me with any details on them. My business has been trying to reach them for over one year without success. I have tried to stop the charges with my bank and was unable to do so. I have never received a receipt or email from them, rather just monthly withdrawals from my account. When my employee was finally able to get in touch with someone at the company , they provided her with a signed contract that expired in 2022 without a new signed contract. They told us they were charging us for credit card machines that we have not used since 2021 (and in fact, they called the machines "obsolete, thus you do not need to return them to us"). I would like to request a a complete refund on all payments made to this company after the contract expired in 8/2022 (*****). I would also like to report them for being intentionally difficult to contact, for not returning calls, and making it very tedious and time consuming to end their services. They are intentionally vague and difficult to reach. I also want to report them for withdrawing $76.20 from my account monthly when the initial contract (which was not even filled out by me) stated $66/month. Furthermore, the contract has the wrong address for my business and I am unsure who submitted the contract to begin with.

This complaint is regarding Tech Capital Group **************************************************************************************** *************. And ************** ************ CEO/founder ************************* ****************************************************************************************************** ************* or direct contact *************. These two companies are in cohoots to rip off medical professionals. ******* is a credit card processing company they promised lower rates for medical businesses and a no-commitment agreement. In the first billing cycle I noticed two charges of $89 (I have two processing machines). I was told by **************** that these are loyalty fees and it would go away shorty) over the next three years I questioned when these fees would go away only to be offered a better rate ect. Finally, I canceled my services with *******. Now I am being told I am on a contract with a third party- Tech Capital. When I spoke with tech capital it was clear they understood the smooth talkers at ******* were cajoling doctors into these dirty contracts. Tech capital is sticking to this forged contract and wants to collect their remaining funds. I am being threatened with my business going to collections over this ridiculous matter. Review of similar complaints on the Better Business Bureau's website indicated other medical professionals are being victimized by these con artists.

I sent the following email to **************, but have not received any acknowledgement. There was nothing fradulent about this transaction. ************** successfully used our equipment and the services of Rectangle Health for his doctor's practice. We terminated the contract with ************** when he returned our equipment per the contract.

    **************,

I wanted to get in touch with you concerning your account and the ******************** complaint you filed last week. I did not see an explanation of your complaint in the filing. As you know we were billing you for the Package of Services provided by Rectangle Health along with the use of our equipment.  In reviewing your account, I see that you have made your contractual payments and have recently returned our equipment. Therefore we have closed your account with no remaining payments due. I trust that is satisfactory to you.

    Kind regards,

I signed up for a 48 month lease with a buyout option. They have been taking their monthly fee out of my bank for seven years now they say I owe them money after I cancel the service theyre telling me that I need to pay them in full and that the lease does not stop until they get their money. Even if they get the equipment back up, they have charged me approximately $2500 above and beyond the lease agreement.

We have agreed to let **************** keep the equipment and will not require him to pay any additional lease payments beyond what he has already paid. We are closing out his contract with Tech Capital Group. *************** communicated that he was pleased with our response.

I signed up for credit card merchant services through the company *******. Prior to the agreement I was told no contract obligations and can discontinue at anytime. After a few months started seeing an unsual charge on my account. ******* did not explain in detail the nature of this charge and referred to it as a "loyalty program" fee that would disappear after "awhile". After a few months of struggle trying to get information about the fees being assessed I discontinued my service with *******. But this mysterious charge continued. I stopped payment thru my bank and was then contacted by Tech Cap saying I owe them money for the leasing contract I made with them for the equipment. I signed no such contract with TechCap. The contract they showed me has my signature and information NOT written by me. This document appears to have taken my signature from other contract documents made with ******* and pasted onto a PDF and the remaining information handwritten onto the document. They are demanding I pay the contract with amounts to a ridiculous fee, almost $5000 for a used piece of equipment if purchased new costs about $600.

Do NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TECH CAPITAL GROUP! **************** a POS transaction processing company states they have a no cancellation fee policy but for their terminals they partner with a sham of a company Tech Capital Group to lock you into a 4 year lease on a piece of equipment that costs *** $300 charging you $58.88 a month for 4 years. You could buy 9 terminals for the cost of the lease agreement. **************** is also not upfront with the option to buy the terminal outright locking you into a lease with Tech Capital Group. I have cancelled my service with **************** and returned the equipment to Tech Capital Group which the lease agreement states that upon return of equipment the lease will end, yet they want me to still pay another 22 months of payments when they are rendering no services. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM, IS PREDATORY AND IS VERY SHADY IN THEIR PRACTICES!

The equipment was returned in early March and **************** has also closed the account. In light of this we have decided to close the account for Central ****** Dental and relieve them of any further obligation for payment.

I am an entrepreneur who owns a small restaurant who leased a credit card machine in 2016. The lease was for 4 years. The machine had operating problems and the company modified the equipment. Last year, I let the company know that the machine was still not working properly despite many follow-up calls over 18 months. I asked Tech Capital Group representative to remove the equipment and cancel the service. They said they would send **************** to come out and pick up the equipment. I called back as they kept charging for a monthly service. Again, the machine had not functioned properly and was driving customers to other businesses due to incorrect charges. Our customers complained they had been charged multiple times for the same transaction and said it was inconvenient for them to get the money back which made our business look bad. I asked my bank to stop payment and called the company again to cancel the account. The last person I spoke with ******************* said I owed six more months at $66.05 a month on the lease. ($396.30) My wife ******** called in November and said they were unhelpful and rude and did not try to make any effort to resolve the problem. *** explained when the equipment was serviced, they added another 4 years to the lease. (They provided a new lease with a signature that was not mine.) *** said he would just send me to collections. I called and emailed *** yesterday and he replied he had sent me to collections at the end of December 2023 and to deal with them. I would like this removed from collections. Incidentally collections called and said I owed $894 and it had to be paid within 24 hours. They did not return my email request for a breakdown. The amount demanded appeared to have doubled from what Tech Capital wanted to charge between October 2023 and Mar 2024. Tech Capital Group LLC has dealt in bad faith with me. We would like this amount removed from my collections report and the account closed.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/28/2024

I don't know why I never received the complaint when it was first submitted. However, I did communicate with our collection attorneys today and they stated that The Irish Pub and **************** did resolve this matter. We were only attempting to collect the amount that was delinquent. Once we closed the account and sent it to our collection attorneys, they were attempting to collect the full balance due on the account. The Irish Pub and **************** paid our collection attorneys the  full amount owed to keep the equipment three days after they filed the complaint with the BBB. I also verified that there was nothing reported to the credit bureaus.
