This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Had to have a new motor put in back in June, which ended up more over $2,000 more than what they told me it would be. That work is paid for, but still not complete. Today is December 20th. Less than a week of being told I could temporarily drive it, something started screeching and smoking. Tried to check oil, and the dipstick gets stuck about halfway out. Then my transmission all of a sudden is shot. While trying to get Chrysler involved, and after speaking to a highly reputable local transmission specialist, I told the dealership they were not to touch the transmission without my presence. With no consent to do so, they took my transmission out. I sent a complaint to the Attorney General's office, to which the dealership has never replied to their letters, but did send me a letter threatening to tow my van and charge me $50/day for storage...... on a vehicle they haven't completed the original work on. I'm currently sitting here waiting for them to get me written proof of a transmission work order, as well as a certified letter stating that all the parts are in my van. They can't seem to handle any of that. I also brought up the fact they still aren't done with the motor work, and they have nothing to say about the unfinished work, other than acknowledging it's true... but apparently don't care. As my workman, this has cost me a lot of money, not to mention the measly two year warranty on the "new" motor already has almost 6 months wasted just sitting on a lot.

While I am very sympathetic to Mr. Hodun’s situation, there are several false statements in the above complaint. After a thorough inspection of the vehicle, we have confirmed that the prior scope of work we performed on Mr Hodun’s Promaster was unrelated to the current transmission issue, and furthermore found no evidence that any damage to the transmission occurred while the vehicle was at our dealership which could have caused the subsequent failure of the transmission many days after leaving our facility for an engine repair. On July 8th, Green Dodge sold me a lemon vehicle. The salesman and finance manager assured me the vehicle was good, and they had done their inspection and due diligence; I signed all necessary paperwork. Two weeks later, I found myself replacing the windshield motor. The mechanic noted that no oil was in the vehicle, and since it was a recent sale, I should take the vehicle back to the dealer. I took the vehicle to ******* for an oil change, and a few days later, no oil was in the car. Upset, I texted and left a voice message for the sales agent around 9am. He didn't return my call or text, so I drove to Green Dodge after work. The sales agent said he would speak to the general manager and get back to me the next day. The next day, he texted me, stating it was an as-is sale and that the manager said there was nothing he could do about it. Therefore, I should take the vehicle to a Chevrolet dealership and let them diagnose the problem. After assuring me that the vehicle was tested and reliable, the sales agent changed his tone in the text message. He said the vehicle was only inspected for minor things like brakes, lights, etc. I decided to take the vehicle to ******** Chevrolet as suggested by Green Dodge, and the diagnostic result said that I needed a new engine. Imagine purchasing a vehicle from what is supposed to be a reputable brand (Green) and getting hoodwinked. I contacted my credit union (I financed the vehicle), and they said to work things out with Green Dodge; however, they are monitoring the situation. I tried messaging the Chairman of Green (Todd G***** to alert him of the problem via ********, but he has yet to respond. I concluded that this is the culture at Green, and I will not stop short of fighting every way that I can until dealers like Green start to behave ethically. Apart from the BBB and leaving reviews on many public sites, I also intend to contact the State Attorney General to seek advice and guidance on how to proceed.

In response to the review first and foremost. I would like to say that we are sorry to hear that the Equinox Mr. ****** purchased from us has experienced problems. We take all customer concerns seriously. We have reviewed all the paperwork of this sale and the findings are as follows. The 2014 Chevrolet Equinox purchased with 147,793 miles on July 3, 2023, was disclosed to Mr ****** as a vehicle in our Fixer Upper program. All fixer upper vehicles are sold AS IS at discounted pricing and have undergone only limited inspections by our dealership. Furthermore, our program even discloses that customers are able to take these vehicles to a third-party mechanic for further inspection prior to purchase. The documentation in our records with the above AS IS disclosures were signed by Mr ******. Due to these conditions of the sale, there is unfortunately no warranty our dealership can offer to cover any of the repairs in question.
