HORRIBLE COMPANY!! They lack communication and people skills. I had my FSA account locked over a $20 claim and I was delayed in getting my medication as a result. The only way I found out that I had to repay the $20 was by calling them. Why couldn't the company send a text or maybe a phone call to assist with the situation instead of locking me out of the money that is taken from my paycheck?

They were the worst company. Could not get my Journals correct, now that I am not with them I cannot access my reports and any other company would assist but they want to charge me $1000 to get a report that is BS and criminal!

Paylocity provides 30 days of extended access to the system beyond the Initial closure to allow clients to access and remove any reporting details they require at no cost. beyond 30 days Beyond this we provide the option to extend access $5 per active Employee ID with a minimum charge of $1000 per Company ID for one year of access. I am happy to request that our service leadership team reach out to you and discuss this with you.

I worked with a company last year that uses Paylocity and getting access to my own information after leaving that company has been a nightmare. I tried to get access to my last paystubs to see if I was paid correctly and it took awhile for Paylocity and this former employer to ***** me access. I was waiting for my W2s to arrive but they haven't which has prompt me to try to log back into Paylocity to retrieve them. Attempt to log into my phone app and it tells me that my account is inactive. Attempt to log into my computer and it tells me that the information doesn't match what is on file. Which one is it? Consistency would be nice here. So I go to resent my account and nothing is sent to my email or phone. This is the same thing that happened at the end of last year when I tried to get access to my own info. I will have to call them and go through this whole hassle again. This really is an awful company to use for payroll. I will probably ask future employers if they use Paylocity to indicate if they are decent companies or not. If they say yes, I will likely withdraw any application or turn down that employer stating why I am doing so. "If you haven't received it within 5 minutes, please reach out to your administrator for assistance." I am no longer working for that employer so this is rather annoying. "If you dont receive your one-time code, be sure to check your Spam folder. If youre still having trouble logging in, please contact your HR teameven if you arent employed there anymore."

      Hello ****,

I am sorry to hear the experience you emailed in.  Unfortunately, it is security protocol that Paylocity has that account managers only work with the approved contacts on a client's account.  At that point, it would be the client's responsibility to reach out and work with you directly regardless if you're still with the company or not.

I see you mentioned in your email that you were made a contact, if you have the name of the company or company ID; I would be more than happy to assist by reaching out to the assigned team for that account and ask that someone reach out to you.

      Thank you.

Very unfortunate experience with Paylocity especially with the service level we received. We implemented in 2021 and as of today, February 13, **** we are still dealing with a tax issue they created when we went through implementation. I have reached out numerous times only to be told "our tax team is working on it". There is no one to escalate to for issues like these. This is one of MANY issues I had with Paylocity during our time with them. Not only could we not do open enrollment in their platform the first year we were with them due to a lack of communication on their part, but the second year we were told if anyone wanted to just "look" at their benefits in the portal during open enrollment, they would be required to complete open enrollment or their benefits would end at the close of the ** session. This is just a couple of the many issues we experienced while with them. We had so many negative experiences with Paylocity, if I could give them less than a 1 I would. I highly recommend avoiding Paylocity and finding another platform!

Disappointing Experience with Paylocity I recently had an unfortunate experience with Paylocity, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. The primary issue revolves around their customer service, which I found to be quite subpar. One major frustration was the lack of direct communication with my account manager. Instead of having a direct line or a quick means of contact, the only option was to email a general service email. This process not only felt impersonal but also led to significant delays in getting the assistance I needed. It often took 2-4 days to receive a response, which is far from the ************** would expect in managing payroll services. This extended wait time for communication proved to be a significant inconvenience, especially when dealing with time-sensitive matters. It left me questioning the practicality of choosing Paylocity as our payroll solution. In hindsight, I regret the decision to go with this company and would advise others to explore alternative options. The hassle of delayed responses and the lack of direct communication channels make the overall experience with Paylocity less than satisfactory. My recommendation: steer clear of this service to avoid unnecessary complications and frustrations.

Paylocity has been my payroll processor for over 5 years. The first year was a nightmare, but I was so busy running my new business that I suffered through it. By the second year, I got a new account manager and he was amazing. He was friendly, prompt, helpful and a true godsend. I appreciated him and told him that I had seriously considered leaving Paylocity until he came along. Life with Paylocity was great for the next 2 years. Then my account manager received a promotion which was great for him but terrible for my company. I had a sinking feeling that things would return to "terrible" and I was right! Actually, things got worse than terrible!Firstly, their app doesn't work 99% of the time. For two years (no exaggeration), my employees couldn't access their W2s or paystubs. What a poor reflection on me that was! I tried to find other companies and get rid of Paylocity, but I would be reassured that they would fix things. And honestly, I was afraid of switching and dealing with a nightmare of having to get used to something new (looking back this was a huge mistake).Paylocity double and triple charged me for their services. They made mistakes in their calculations. They forgot to run my payroll on several instances. The problem became so bad that at one point, I stopped processing payroll because I had been rear ended by a semi truck and was in a bad place and Paylocity was making life even more miserable. I continued to complain and ask for a new account manager. It did no good. My payroll was so undependable that I could no longer count on them.I have many copies of emails begging for a new account manager, stating that my employees were growing frustrated with the app, and stating that my payroll hadn't been timely processed. At no point even after over 5 years with this company did anyone reach out to resolve the issues.I finally started threatening to get a new company. They still didn't change. I left and I'm so relieved.

We just onboarded Paylocity. The company was fantastic to work with and very easy to incorporate. They gave all the bells and whistles, and answered every question I had. The onboarding specialists were fantastic. After the onboarding process it has been nothing but a horror trying to get things changed added or fixed. I do not recommend this company at all as it is truly a lemon. They sell you upfront but do not deliver. First problem we had was with benefits process. Trying to get it done was ridiculous as they wanted me to complete hours worth of forms but if removed some of the restrictions on the platform i could have programmed our company in hours instead it took weeks. The next issue we had was trying to get new CFO on as an admin. We sent email to the abyss of an email, the one that is the catch all "service" a few times, completed the form a few times, sent it back to the abyss, actually called more than a few times and eventually her name was added. what should have been a simple process took over a month to complete. Should be an option to do that for admins.Latest fiasco is with changing PTO schedules. The answer to make a drastic change to our PTO schedule was to complete hundreds of separate forms. Again, the process would take a trained penguin with no opposable thumbs and zero computer skills an hour to two to program in the system. It has its benefits but honestly, the lack of customer service, the antiquated and archaic systems, lack of self autonomy should keep any self respecting business away from this product. It is not worth the aggravation.

I would highly recommend going with any other company than this one. We used this company the entire year of ****************************** December. We have not been able to access any records without jumping through hoops or paying over $1000 for "limited access". Our employees can not get their information such as W-2's from them. We paid quite a bit to have this system for the year and essentially have already paid for our information. Seems like that shouldn't be legal for them to be able to keep someone's personal information from them. If you could rate someone negative stars, that's what I would do for this company.

      Hello and morning.

I am sorry to hear the experience that you have had working with us.  I understand your feedback regarding the fee of $1000 mentioned for limited access, but that is company standard as well as other vendors for continued access to the HR&Payroll module and stored information.  As far as the employees not receiving their W2s; unfortunately the employees would need to work with the company's payroll team due to the fact that Paylocity does not work with the employees directly for security measures.  At that point, the authorized contacts would call and/or email into their assigned service teams for those requested W2s.

      Thank you.

In 2022, our company used Paylocity for a quarter, January through March. At the end of 2022, I received my W-2 from Paylocity, and it said that NO FEDERAL TAXES were taken out of my paychecks. I compared my W2 total to the money deposited in my account, minus all the monies that went to Social Security, NJSDI, NJWDCS, UI/SF/SW, State Taxes, *********** (HSA). Turns out that $1,313.45 was missing from my deposited paychecks, *****%. I spoke with our HR administrator, and she told me to contact Paylocity. Paylocity wont speak to employees. However, a Paylocity rep offered me to pay them $1,000 per quarter for copies of my paystubs. They also told me to get a tax accountant, since it was obviously my fault for filling out my W9 incorrectly. I had no idea when you fill out a W9 incorrectly that a company isnt responsible to pay an employees portion of federal taxes. A few weeks after filing my return, I received a bill from the *** for $1,313.00the exact amount missing from my deposited money. What a strange coincidence, right? No. I literally had to pay my taxes twiceonce to Paylocity, and once more to the ***. Since Paylocity refused to help me, I looked online. Turns out companies are responsible for paying employees federal taxes. The *** says that if you suspect your payroll service provider (thats you Paylocity) of improper or fraudulent activities involving the deposit of your federal taxes, or the filing of your returns (thats me), you can file a complaint using form #*****, Complaint: Tax Return Preparer. The *** assures me that once they receive form #*****, theyll expedite the investigation. So Paylocity, either return my tax money to me, plus the fees I had to pay the *** ********************** and the cost of my tax accountant, or Ill be filing form #*****.

      Hello ****,

I am sorry to hear the frustration you have experienced as mentioned in your message.  You are correct, unfortunately Paylocity does not work with the employees directly due to the security protocols.  If you can please provide the company name I would be more than happy to reach out to an authorized contact at the company and ask that someone from their payroll team reach out to you.

      Thank you.

I have used a variety of systems in my professional career including Workday, Paycom, ADP, etc etc. Paylocity surpasses them all.and for the price! Everything about Paylocity is intuitive. The best part about Paylocity, though, is the outstanding support. My account management team is top notch.I can send an email and within the day, I have a response, if not a resolution. They make taxes so stupid easy! They also do same day ACH for any off cycle employees that need to be paid. I dont have enough good things to say about this company.
