      Wish there was a ZERO stars option. Ive been banking for 40 years and have NEVER been treated so horribly as we have by the branch at E.Main St/Foxfield in St. *******. My entire family banks here several accounts and we have ALL be treated with such disdain, ****************************** its almost unheard of. The branch assistant manager is the worst. We literally go to another town now to a different branch because of the gross incompetence and lack of respect of almost all of the staff at this branch. Not to mention that simple transactions here take ridiculous amounts of time and are full of errors. We will be changing banks soon and sharing our experience to save others the ***************** We have multiple businesses and were considering moving all of our commercial accounts here initially NEVER will that happen. Corporate really should consider all of these horrible reviews and take some action before the business shutters. Terrible, terrible business and staff.

      When have you ever heard of a company giving you a loan and you not knowing you took out a loan? That is what you get when reading with this company. My insurance cancelled and I got hit with a huge bill from this loan company for insurance that I did not use. I had no idea I had a loan with this company. They run a scam with insurance companies to sign up for insurance not knowing that in the fine print you are signing up for a loan from them. It is extremely misleading and a shady way to do business. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

      I am a 30 year customer of ************** and I never had a problem before the past month, but it's been such a horrible experience that I would never again recommend that anyone bank with them. The local branch made an error which has now led to the central office blocking me from withdrawing $15000 that I have on deposit for two weeks with no end in sight. The local branch staff understand that I should be able to withdraw my money but they don't seem to be able to help. Meanwhile, who gets to accrue interest on these funds?

      Wintrust has unnecessarily delayed the loan assumption process, leading to my inability to contract for the sale of a new home because I cant get Wintrust to submit the assumption packet nor can I get an actual estimated timeline for closing on the sale of my home which is the subject of the loan assumption through Wintrust. *** submitted a complaint to the **** and the ******** of ******* for the state of ******** for the following reasons:I am trying to sell my home that has a VA loan through an assumption with a fellow VA eligible buyer. Wintrust Mortgage is who I have my VA loan through currently. Wintrust received the loan assumption packet in its entirety on Oct 9, 2023. Wintrust failed to notify either me or the buyer that they needed additional documentation and therefore the packet sat without any action for two weeks. I began calling Wintrust every day on Oct 23, 2023 to get updates on the packet so that I can let the buyer know what information Wintrust needs. Wintrust refuses to provide a single point of contact that will confirm receipt of requested documents and Wintrust refuses to contact me or the buyer when documents are missing, which is why I must call every day. So far, Wintrust has delayed the assumption process by 3 weeks simply because they REFUSE to notify the buyers of missing information and because we dont have a single point of contact to verify documents. Wintrust also refuse to provide any transparency regarding the loan assumption process but continually claims the process takes 3-6 MONTHS! So far, I cant even get the assumption packet submitted to the origination office because of the arbitrary delays Wintrust has caused through lack of communication with the buyer and me.The only cause of delay in this process so far has been Wintrusts negligence or ineptitude or laziness to provide a point of contact or communicate with either party.

      I have used Wintrust mortgage for a third loan in the last six years. The first two loans had a great loan officer and everything was made easy for our end of the process.Unfortunately everything changed with the last loan in September 2023. The first two loans were sold to ********** and they provided us with great customer service, but the loan in 2023 was sold to a mortgage broker in ***** that has over 10 class action lawsuits against them for fraud and on one website has a one star rating out of 401 reviews with many other negative reviews on other websites.Not only is this the last time I will use this Wintrust mortgage company but as soon as rates drop I will look for a new lender that cares about the customer after the closing.

      THIS IS THE WORST BANK I'VE EVER BANKED AT!! ABSOLUTELY THE WORST! I cancelled an order from Amazon on June 4th (Sunday) and it's now June 10th (Saturday) and my funds are still pending. I called and spoke to someone at Wintrust on the 7th to ask when pending funds will drop off and the person on the phone told me in 5 business days. Well, it definitely has been 5 business days. So I called yesterday on the 5th day and they said it would be there today...well it wasn't. Then I called this morning talked with someone who said now Monday. I then ask to speak to a manager and *********************** at the Streeterville branch plays as if she's the manager and tells me sometime next week, which could be any day next week. I begin to tell her how I feel that is unacceptable and she hangs up on me. I then walk down there because I live right down the street and she acts real nonchalant and keeps repeating that it's nothing she or anybody can do. WHAT KIND OF BANK IS THIS? ANCIENT TIMES? WHY ARE YOU HOLDING MY MONEY? I asked for her card and she gave it to me along with the REAL manager's card ***************************. We all now how Amazon operates, if you cancel an order before it ships it just cancels out and it's pretty quickly so it's not on their end (I've talked them 2x and they say it's my bank). I am beyond ****** because first of all nobody is on the same page. Everybody has a different answer. One person says 5 days, the next says 7 and now it's sometime next week. SO BEWARE DON'T CANCEL ANY ORDERS BECAUSE THEY WILL HOLD YOUR FUNDS FOR SEVERAL DAYS. As soon as my money hits my account I will be closing it immediately! I will also forever tell people DO NOT BANK HERE because their processes and CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! I SUGGEST MORE TRAINING! EVERYBODY HAS A DIFFERENT ANSWER AND HAS NO COMPASSION FOR THE CUSTOMER. THESE DAYS PEOPLE NEED THEIR MONEY AND IT'S A SHAME YOUR OWN BANK WILL TREAT YOU THIS WAY. This is the 2nd time they've held my money, I'm not waiting for a 3rd time.

      This is the worst banking experience Ive ever had. I switched a couple of months ago, and in that time, Wintrust has turned off my card a ridiculous number of times. Theyve declined transactions when Im on a first date, when Im buying coffee at my regular spot, when my gym tries to auto renew, whenever and theres never an explanation. Currently, Im stranded in ************* with no money because they inexplicably turned off my card. Theres no way for me to turn it back on through the app. Theres no customer service person i can call. Im literally just stranded. I dont know what Im going to do This is literally a nightmare scenario. I didnt know a bank could be this horrible in 2023. AVOID!!!!!

      I have nothing but great things to say about ***********************. My husband and I found them after receiving less than-favorable rates from a previous lender. Our loan ******** ******************* worked tirelessly to make sure we got the best interest rate and he even beat our previous lender's costs by thousands of dollars. He exhibited the utmost professionalism throughout the entire process as well. He was also a great communicator and always reached back out to ** quickly. I could not recommend *********************** enough!!!! Thank you ****** and thank you ***********************!

      The absolute worst automated system on the planet. Problem is, customer representatives are equally bad. I spent 15 minutes talking about an issue and the rep spent the same loud talking and trying to dismiss it. Wintrust sent me a statement that my escrow was low by $1267.31 and that I could pay it or have it divided by 12 and added to the monthly payment. I chose to pay the $1267.31, because I didn't want any increase in the way I have my payments set up. Would you believe that on May 1, Wintrust increase my mortgage by $54.74 and said it was due to insurance and tax increase. Told her then why not say escrow was off by $1924.19 and divide it by 12 or pay it in full to get a true picture. She once tried to dismiss me with projected taxes and insurance bull. I got a lower interest rate but at present looking into taking the bite on a higher interest rate over poor customer relations and false information. If this is hidden, who knows what else lurks.
