I purchased furniture from room place at ********** IL 5 years ago. I paid for a warranty, they told me the warranty is No use No loose and if I don't use it then I can get my money back as a gift card and use it anywhere I want.Now after 5 years I find a whole different story, the protection money MUST be used in room place items and I must spend 999$ so I can use my money. I don't want to spend 999$ I just want to spend my protection money only. They refuse and now they say if I don't use the money I will loose it and Room Place will keep it! (is that even legal).I talked with store managers, associates and there customer service too with no result.I need my money, if there sales associates gives false information to make the sale then they have to watch them and make sure they follow the law. what is happening is Illegal and Not acceptable also it may be illegal.The Roomplace Response

The RoomPlace will issue you 100% of your furniture protection plan price in the form of an in-store credit, valid for a period of 6 (six) months from date of issuance towards your next furniture purchase of $999 or more. To qualify, complete the following information within 90 days after your warranty expiration date. Your requests will be processed and you will receive notification via email within 30 days of the entry date. Submissions received prior to the expiration date of the warranty will not qualify. I have been a loyal customer for the past couple of years and have being doing my payments on time before the 6 months to take advantage of the promotions of 0% interest rate. Unfortunately I was off with my last payment for 0.22 cents(human mistake)And I received a new statement of$145!!!!! Yes! $145 on interest rate for .22 cents. This is very frustrating. I call the customer services and no one was able to assist me as that is the policy.The Roomplace Response

Hello I got a table and a couch. You have a next day delivery guarantee process but I got my table 2 days later and still waiting on my couch and it's been a month! When they delivered my table they refused to take the old table out and that's horrible customer service especially if I'm paying for delivery. Plz have them take my old couch out when the new 1 finally comes. I've waited a month that's the least they can do. Started a chat and tier refunds to take the old furniture. This company ***** and I'll never buy from them again!The Roomplace Response

Good afternoon *************************, we are deeply sorry to hear of your experience with your order. While we do have next day delivery for in stock items, if an item is out of stock or if the day is booked to capacity, it could cause a delay on delivery date. We do see the table was delivered 2/19 due to 2/18 booked up. As for the sectional it was out of stock at time of purchase estimated in stock mid march, and we would reach out if any changes should come in by vendor on stock date. Due to liability reasons, our delivery drivers cannot remove or move anything existing in the home upon delivery of order. A member of our team will reach out direct to you regarding this. I bought furniture there 10year ago I bought bedroom set ,cough and love seat *** bedroom set it start coming apart I tighten it up and it still came apart I call the service department and they just gave me the run around it was really some bad furniture when you walk in the service was great but when you spend your money there it's like they don't no you when you have a problem I said that I will never get any furniture from this place again unless they have got better and have we'll build furniture.The Roomplace Response

We do offer a 1 year manufacturers warranty on all items except for sold as is, clearance, and factory direct items. We do also have an optional accidental warranty for 5 years you can purchase at time of order placement. The quality of the furniture I purchased from Room Place is awful, and their protection plan is not helpful. I bought a dinette set less than a year ago, and one of the chairs was already broken within the first month. They replaced it, but after a few months, all the chairs had become loose. I tightened them up a few times, but eventually, I had to contact Room Place for assistance. A representative came out to assess the problem and put in a claim for one chair. He also advised me to tighten the chairs every 1st of the month. I paid $1700 for this set, and it hasn't even been a year, yet the only suggestion they have is for me to do the work. I bought a protection plan for a reason, but I shouldn't have to do all the work. Please be aware of this if you plan to purchase from Room Place.The Roomplace Response

Most chairs and dining tables are constructed using bolts that need to be tightened every few months to insure structural integrity. We do warrant within 1 year from any manufacturers defects, and the extended Guardian accidental warranty for 5 years is an optional purchase. Based on previous reviews it true. Sick of the harassment with the non stop playing of their subliminal commercials. Every 10 minutes sometimes back to back.. seems like they spent all the money on ads to deveive vs quality service. Every commercial says today is the final day for almost a month non stop. We do see an even exchange in our system for you on the Solona credenza due to the handles being misaligned and a gap between the doors. Awful quality of furniture, protection plan voids after claim. A food stain damaged the table top used the solution bought at time of purchase for table top. It actually dulled the area as i wiped it. Guardian protection technician came out said it needed to ne replaced. Now with that they cant just send me a table and break a set up . I understand that but my chairs are fine so with this replacement i need to purchase a new protection plan because its a new set. The bench that came with the table i can keep and the old protection plan will cover that. Point is when selling protection plans Detail is important and they left out the fact if table or even 1 chair was damaged and could not be cleaned or repaired they would have to replace set and you lose protection plan. Again choice to replace the new plan but this just seems to be a circle of somebody making money on replacements and the repurchasing of new protection plans. From sales to management and the *************************** along with corporate they had no interest in validating what you had to say.The sales girl at the Room Place had the nerve to tell me maybe I should look into buying a more expensive table and chairs instead of shopping low end!!! Wow so then she is saying the store she works for has low end furniture items Dont Buy!! We all cant afford top shelf. I would never shop or refer anyone to the The Room Place.The Roomplace Response

Terrible quality of furniture- our sofa broke in less than two years. It was well care for and not abused. The two back struts that hold the sofa together broke in half. The company said there was nothing they could do about it. C*** furniture and awful customer service.The Roomplace Response

Good old *********** the bank that never makes mistakes. I literally called them talked to a person literally had the person process the payment.
