Here's the average cost per hr to fix a mower: Lawn mower repair hourly rate Lawn mower repair technicians charge an average of $55 per hour, but rates range from $45 to $100 per hour Midwest Equipment charged me $130.00 pre hour to fix my mower. 3 hrs work cost me $400.00 in labor alone. The math doesn't even work out. Simply a HUGE RIP OFF!!!! Stay away from this business unless you really don't care about your money!!!!!

Ron, I want to apologize first of all for not communicating the charges with you in an accurate manner. I'm a bit confused as I look over your invoice for the repairs we did at the Tremont location. From what I see, you were billed 3.65 hours at $108 for a total of $394.20 and a shop charge of $5.00. Did we possibly quote you a different amount for the labor? I understand that you spent a large sum on money on your mower repair, I want to do what I can to understand your negative experience at the Tremont store. I had called the Tremont shop on 2 different occasions and both times I was told "We're at $200.00 and we're waiting on the cable bushings"....I was under the impression that that $200.00 was my bill. Therefore you can imagine how surprised I was to have a bill of $682.53 just to tune up and fix a downed cylinder that was simply a magneto gone bad due to a mouse chewing on the wire. So, I hope you "understand" my problem. Also, after delivery back to me, after being fixed, the mower would not start. The battery was dead!!! I attempted to call the Tremont business back, all day long, all I got was a recording saying they were busy. I left a message and got NO RETURN CALL BACK EVER.... I'm assuming your shop had it running in order to fix it, so I do not understand the dead battery after your Tremont location dropped it off. Unless this was a retaliation attempt for the bad review.... I'm very upset at the hourly rate you guys charge and I was NEVER told the hourly rate in first place. I would have NEVER taken it there to begin with. The hourly rate you charge, is more than the US average hourly repair rate...IT'S A MOWER!!!!
