      I entered Unity Point Health - Methodist seeking medical assistance in May 2022. While I was there, my patient and human rights were violated, when I was denied a five day release form from five medical center employees and wasn't given access to said form until 24 hours later. Once the five days had been completed, they told me that even though I was compliant with all of their requests, that I would need to sign an additional five day release form and that I would need to stay additional days, even though I was compliant with care. In addition to this I was denied access on day one to the patient advocacy care line and was told that the information was inaccessible, even though it was posted at the nurse's station. While I was there, the physician called me a liar and told me I wasn't employed where I was employed at and refused to honor my belief system in regards to the medications I felt comfortable to take and told me that if I didn't comply with the medicine they insisted on my taking, that they would take me to court and potentially hold me at the hospital for an additional 90days, trying a variety of other medications out on me. A number of the CNA's were rude to me on a number of occasions and purposefully delayed the medication request for an inhaler for over 12 hours - as an asthmatic who had covid during my visit, this was especially distressing. I don't recommend utilizing this "healthcare" system, for yourself, your children or other family members. If I could give negative stars for my experience, I would.

      I use a cpap. Unitypoint at Home *** sent me a bill from 03/30/2020 for 229.14. I paid this amount 2 times around the time it was due, one of them was cancelled by the card company and only one was applied, but they applied it to some other bill as a partial payment. Then another year old charge appeared on the bill.. I am being charged for bills that were already paid by my insurance company the year prior and I paid whatever I owed at that time. I have been receiving a bill a month for 5 or 6 months now, each time I ask for an explanation and for the bill to be corrected. Each time the associate says they are escalating it to their manager and I never receive a call or any feed back, just another bill. I paid the original 229.14, but it is still on every bill I receive, I just want to know that if I pay this bill again that I won't keep getting threatening billing statements. I have invested a considerable amount of personal time, with no response or fix, just more bills. I did pay this bill today because I don't want it to go to collections, but it still feels like I am being taken advantage of. As a business owner, if I sent a bill to a customer that was from 2 years prior, that was paid and settled, they would laugh at me.

      There is a huge lack of communication. Would not recommend this facility.
