  Fired him on 4/14/22. Spent $11,000.00 received a refund of $1000.00. On top of the $11k I paid and provided for all materials, fixtures, paint etc.. except shower pan and grout. Downstairs bathroom shower remodel using existing tile - had to replace some tiles and used a completely different color of grout. Did not grout a tile, got grout on floor tile, wood walls. Mudroom - mortar and grout all over the tile faces - did not finish painting the mudroom. Front entryway mortar and grout all over it that does not come off. Someone mortared the stone to my carpet on my stairs and got mortar on my carpet on the stairs themselves and workout room. Someone stained the new stone in and it will not come out. Upstairs bathroom the threshold will have to be removed and redone - someone cut it to go around the wall/trim and did not know what they were doing there is 1/4" gap on each end and the door will not close. Completely missing trim at the ceiling, around the new vanity, missing caulk, broke new fixture. There is not one area where the work was done correctly and in the middle of the shower remodel informs me that he is not a licensed plumber. I was mislead by his website and lied to about his skills. I have pictures I can send but I need an email address to send a dropbox link to - the file is larger than 5MB

  So sorry I did not intend to put the claim on the BBB and emailed as soon as I realized the error.   The company is Kitchen & Bath Specialties by Contractors Plus owner is *** **********.    Is there an email I can send a link to dropbox images of all the issues we have from this company?

  Yes I did work for this customer it was an older 80-year-old home one item was to remove a custom shower base and install a custom ceramic tile base which is extremely difficult to do in which we did succeed and if you noticed she never did make one comment about that the other item was her back porch where she had extremely old terrible steps to custom tile those we did do that the other item was to remodel her upstairs bathroom that was in extremely poor condition we did work on all these three items during the process we did not have any emails text messages or voicemails of any extreme problems basically the day we finished and we went to settle up there was i’m missing window screen and she told us if we could figure out how much that cost she would remove it from the price and she would pay us the next thing you know everything went ugly she wouldn’t let me come back to repair or fix anything or clean anything and she made all kinds of threats and so forth I gave her $1000 back to work with the customer she waits four  months and then does this to me I have over 225 reviews that equal either in a or five star review

  Here is an email thread - I do not have the multiple texts or verbal instructions to provide.  I do not see how the age of the house has anything to do with his inability to perform the work.  Mortar and grout all over the substrates, carpet, walls - not being able to close doors, not grouting at all, not completing paint jobs, not trimming out, leaving stickers on walls, breaking lights.  Best yet when you replace tile in an existing shower - why don't you use the same color grout???  I have mortar and grout smeared all over around my $8k shower turn on in my shower that I get to stare at every day and half the grout in the shower is tan and half gray.  I was mislead and lied to about what Joe LaVerdiere and his company would and could complete.  And I don't give threats.  I will escalate if this does complaint does not do anything.  All anyone has to do is look at the pictures I uploaded - this is how he left my home.

  Age does matter your steps that we had to tile where so worn out from age they has three quarter inch deep depressions
  The flag stone she provided is for exterior floors our interior walls , she never provided instructions our a name brand our a sealer to seal them with if they where sealed the grout would have came of easier
  We did put in a light above a mirror it had 3 globes one broke .may have been defective who knows she was supply light fixtures her self most customers just get another an change it them selves since its there fixture
  The trim in the upstairs bathroom was missing when we started the job an she never mentioned to replace it
  Phase 4 of the job was to redo two more rooms an they had carpet on the floor so we where noy concerned with the floor cause we new it was to be removed
  Its obvious that the floors needed redone because there was a 2 inch step Wich I have never seen in my life in a house
  With my 1000 refund she can have some one do the small amount of grouting
  The reason why the grout was off color is it's a custom color that had to be created to match the existing 12 year old grout . we where repairing tile not new construction Also this was slate tile not sealed well 12 years old that's hard to clean up Evidently we left a sticker on something jrn so sorry we forget to remove it
  Also lets remember I offered to take care off any problems she refused it

  He is blaming everything on the age of my home.  Grouting and mortaring tile to my carpeted steps, getting mortar and grout on my carpet, other flooring, staining my new tile, getting mortar all over

  the tile in the mudroom, not finishing painting the mudroom (told him 3 times about painting, left sticky notes on what needed painted and still did not do it) installing a completely different grout

  in my shower - all of this has nothing to do with the age of my home.  It has to do with a contractor  that is misleading people and lying to customers about his abilities.  Proof is in the pictures - 

  he was done and this is how he left my home.
