This business keeps repeatedly trying to take money off my card when not given permission to use my card. When called and asked about it they hang up. I've bought two cars from here and towards the end of me paying them off they start trying to pretend I owe them money when in fact I have supporting documentation that I have indeed paid them every time.Initial Complaint

i bought this car on November 25th, 2024, i called on november 26th to let them know the sunroof would raise up when you press on it, i was told they would need to keep the car for 3 days to fix it. on December 7th, I made the first payment of $360.00, I went to work I worked my whole shift when i went to leave somet snapped under the hood and i couldnt drive the car home, they picked up the car on december 8th from my jobs parking lot they said it was the drive belt pulley and fixed it, I went and picked the car up from ****** on December 10th, on December 16th the car started saying engine hot ac off, i contacted **** **** via message that night, i contacted the companys shop the next day they picked the car up from my house took it took ****** said it was the coolant sensor and that it was fixed they brought the car back to me on december 18th. i called the shop again on december 20th because the car would die every once in a while when i put in reverse they said there was probably moisture in the gas tank and to put more gas in the car that issue has yet to be fix as far as im aware, on december 25th car started saying engine hot ac off again i called on the 26th they picked the car up on december 26th said it was the thermostat and they fixed it, i went and pi the car back up on december 28th, on december 29th i turned the car over and it immediately started steaming under the hood, and there was this weird hissing noise, they came and got the car on december 30th, theyre telling me nothing is wrong with the car, a woman named ***** **** up on me **** is telling me i need to make the 160 dollar payment before i get my car back, and ******* is saying i have to make the 160 dollar payment before i can switch cars, and people are either not answering me or hanging up on me,Business Response

Yes, I purchased my car and it rolled off the lot with ** off engine hot problems. Ive had it for almost 2 years. Ive had it over there four times to be fixed the problems still has not been fixed last Friday. I was stranded alongside the road. I had to get my own vehicle clear to ******. I called on Monday. He said that he would give me a call back as soon as he figured out what the problem was, I never received a phone call on Tuesday. I finally called at 3 PM. I was told that it was a fuel injector and that he was almost finished Wednesday, I did not hear a word out of them at all. I called at 1:50 PM Thursday. I was told that the fuel injectors were fixed. It runs fine for about 30 minutes and then it starts acting up again. I asked how it was acting up and he blew me off the manager has no idea hes going to take it to an outside guy in ******** , then he finally said that it runs for about 30 minutes and then it starts blowing smoke out of the tailpipes, so that means that the fuel injectors werent the problem. My car came home with missing bolts caps, missing to the air conditioner unit where the Freon leaked out. I was told once that it was the air conditioner compressor and I needed a new alternator. Well, they switched both out both components got home next day smelled burnt plastic, The black caps to the alternator had to be removed because they were burning. They told me it was a faulty alternator fried Both new components so they say. They do not return phone calls,sit in shop for hours my car has not left fixed once. Ive already been without my car all week and I have no idea when Im gonna be able to get it back nor do I even know whats wrong with it nor does the shop even know whats wrong with it he also stated that it was doing the ** off engine hot problem when the smoke was coming out of the tailpipe which is a problem that I have had since the day it rolled off the lot and they were told about it. -bought a used 2011 ***** traverse in March 2023 we were told it was serviced before we picked it up Andersons had to take it back a WEEK later for transmission replacement we told them the engine light was also on for the 02 sensor/ they did nothing we were told a USED transmission got put in - have had non stop issues with said vehicle - everytime we contact Andersons we are told they will call us back and NEVER DO - refuse to give a loaner vehicle despite all issues and the vehicle being the PRIMARY mode of transportation for a 4 person family (including 2 children) And our numbers on paper work do not matchInitial Complaint

2011 equinox has had issues from day one. Motor mounts axles and suspension and the one that makes the most alarming burning oil 1 quart a week it did this three months from purchase till current I want it fixed and at no charge. Bought the car in March 2023 car needed a new Cadillac converter was told that they would replace the item and when they finally got the part we took it in and vehicle is still under warranty but they said we had the car for too long so they will have to charge us 650 dollars to change it! I purchased a car from this dealership in March of 2023. It is still under warranty. I have had the car break three times since July of this year. Everytime it breaks down, I have to take it back to them which is 2 hours away. They are not fixing all the things they should be fixing. It was not clear that they would be making all the repairs and that I couldn**;t take it to someplace closer. They want me to bring it to them, at my expense and this is my only car. The transmission was repaired(it took a month) but it has broken down due to transmission issues. I am currently making payments on the car. I only owe $4100 on the car.Initial Complaint

I sold a 2012 ***** avalanche the next day the check engine light came on. I took it to AutoZone. They put it on a computer. The computer told me that the Cadillac converter was out the steering rack was going out and there were 12 other issues with a vehicle that needed maintenance. I change the oil, there was only a quart of oil in it and the sticker said it was changed by Napa ***** the sales person told me theyre just service the vehicle and my wife has had a vehicle through them before and their sticker says ******** ******** I called them and they told me to bring the vehicle to them so I do within an hour. They give me the vehicle back and tell me that it was just a ground wire, but that my steering rack is going out and that they ordered me the part they told me it was OK to drive mind you I know nothing about cars just had to do a little maintenance things like change a tire or oil check fluids and stuff like that. On the way back home to check engine light comes back on. Also the service tire monitor system is flashing I called them and they assured me that it was OK that it could be in a number of things so I continue to drive the vehicle on Thursday, October ********************************************************************************************************************* and my three-year-old son hit a bank thrown 40 foot nose dive into a ditch. My son is OK but I am suffering from broken ribs. I just started a sole proprietor ship six months ago and was doing great and now Im having a hard time working, these people have been nothing but rude I have multiple messages from the owner and employees threats. They charge me $1500 for a down payment. My original payment was 250 but they told me I must pay 500 for the next three payments. I was in an accident because they failed to tell me there was stuff wrong with this car and service the car correctly, they are still trying to make me pay for this car and still being rude to me and my wifeBusiness Response

We feel that we went above and beyond for ****************. We let him take the vehicle with half of the required down payment with an agreement to make payments on the pick up notes. An appointment was set for September 28th to fix his vehicle. He did not show up for this appointment. We were going to fix the issues at no cost to him. On October 12th we received a call from **************** that he had totaled his vehicle. **************** did not have full coverage insurance. We as the lienholder will not be paid for the vehicle. We are very glad that there were no injuries in the accident.Customer Answer

I wish also to let someone know they sold me the vehicle 30 minutes before they closed ***** the sales woman gave me a stack of papers and told me to sign where all the highlighted parts on the paper are well come to find out the miles on the ***** we except she told me the truck had ******* miles never discussed warranty or anything she usually does I asked her if it was all the same paperwork as before she advised me it was she has the general as my insurance on my paperwork and I have those documents so all reality I was sold a vehicle that the odometer had been messed with and they dont know the mileage she NEVER once told me thisInitial Complaint

I put a $3,000 payment down on a vehicle on 8/16/23 under the impression it was to hold my spot for it when it got there and I would get it back if it wasn’t up to my standards. I did not sign anything but have two receipts of this. One hand written the day I gave the money and one printed one from the day I inspected the vehicle. They pushed me around when I called about the vehicle not being there in the time frame they gave me for almost a month. On 9/7/23 I called the manager about why it hasn’t been brought to the vandalia location yet and was told it just got there. I was able to finally inspect the vehicle on 9/8/23 and told them I was undecided and we would speak to our loan agent about it. On 9/11/23 I contacted anderson and sons and told them it wasn’t up to my standards and I would be in for my $3,000 and they said “sorry, we don’t do refunds.” Not once did they make me aware of this nor did they have me sign any paper stating this when I brought the money in. I also saw the sales guy driving this vehicle around since he lives in the same town as me starting on 9/7/23 to 9/10/23 and was told this was normal for him to be taking it while I’m deciding by his manager. I have not signed any papers of any kind with this company and feel as though I got scammed for being a girl there all by myself. I just want my money back that I saved up to get my son a car for his 16th birthday in October. Now I’m out the money and a vehicle.Business Response

We here at Anderson's and Sons take all customers issues or complaints seriously and strive to have 100% customer satisfaction. In the case of ******** ***** ******, it appears that we have fulfilled our position of the transaction. Our policy is a no refund on deposit or downpayment money. Money for a downpayment or deposit is used to secure the vehicle for that customer. This makes that vehicle not available to anyone else. I was looking at a vehicle from them. They would have the vehicle ready for me the next week. I gave them $1500.00 down payment. From 04/26/2023 until today. I have only drove the car for about a week and a half and the rest the vehicle has been in the shop. I told them that I was not going to give them their $400.00 for car payment until the car is fixed properly. They called me yesterday and informed me that I owe them ******. $400.00 is the car payment and the $200.00 is for the deductible for the parts for the warranty. It was a ac compressor and a temperature sensor that**;s what they claim it was this time. The state of ******** sent me the title of the vehicle. I checked to see if there a lien on the title and there isn**;*************** on the title. I have asked for a different vehicle they say they can and then they turn around and request for another deposit. I paid to have the vehicle towed over there which was suppose to be covered under the warranty. ******************** must bring his account current as well as cover the two deductibles he owes for the most recent repairs. All previous repairs were done at no charge. No refunds will be issued as all sales are Final. It appears the title was mailed to ******************** in error. The state has been notified and is correcting this error. Anderson's and Sons is willing to release ******************** from all commitments, he may bring his keys and the title to our office, clean out his belongings from the car if he wishes to return.

Yeah I had forgotten to mention the fact that it wasn't even the car that I put the down payment on they told me down payments were non-refundable so I was pretty much stuck with the piece of s*** that I got the car I was looking at only had ****** miles on it the car I get has ******* miles on it and I drove it a week and a half since April till now and if you look at the reviews this is happened to several people this needs to come to a stop even if it requires class action lawsuitCustomer Answer
