Vertex Construction was to perform work on the interior and exterior of my home with money issued on my behalf by ********* Insurance agent of over 25 years, *****************. The day after I signed the contracted, I canceled the work. This was because Vertex Construction failed to answer my questions and switched my contact person (Saem Hong) after the agreement. I grew more suspicious after I finally reached her and she stated ...I am no longer handling your account'. 'The owner is now handling it personally'. Her voice seemed fearful. At that point and since then, no attempt by Vertex Construction to notify myself that they had received 2 checks from ********* Insurance Company. Checks issued by ********* Insurance Company. to Vertex Construction:Check #1 in the amount of $6,523.65 issued on December 11, 2018 Check #2 in the amount of $5,787.24 issued on April 4, ************************************************** my ceiling, walls and basement since this time. This all occurred following my mothers death, family discrepancies and the loss of my job. All of which was shared with Saem Hong of Vertex Construction (female but not sure she is family to the owner or partners at Vertex Construction).Initial Complaint

Five years ago, Vertex replaced my mom's roof and siding, visually, everything looked good. With all the heavy rain we had in the previous weeks, water has been coming in to the basement. It flows down the walls. We went to that side of the house to see what was going on. When we checked the siding, we realized that you could put your hand underneath it. It was completely soaked. We had another company come look at it so we could fix the problem, When he removed the siding, all of the insulation was soaked. The nails were so ***** you could pull them out with your fingers. A J channel wasn't put on the bottom siding piece, there was no water barrier, and they didn't tuck the siding underneath the gutters. We're pretty sure that there's mold behind the wet insulation, but we don't want to expose it until we can have the issue fixed. I've sent messages and have called them, but I haven't gotten an response. I want the company to redo the siding as it should have been done.
