  I signed a contract with Peerless Roofing on 06/01/2022 and paid the company $6812.50 on 06/06/2022, which was the required half down for the completion of the project. They began the project at 9am on 06/09/2022 and did not complete the project until 11pm. Throughout the duration of the day, I was NOT informed of any issues with warped or rotten decking. This was a direct breach of the contract I signed with the company. They also breached the following aspects of the contract as well:They did not protect the property. There were 3 tarps randomly laid out on the surrounding deck, and a great majority of the debris fell onto our deck and patio furniture. They did not re-nail any of the loose/warped roof decking or replace any of the bad plywood. The fact that there were issues with the decking was NOT brought to my attention at anytime throughout the duration of the project. The warped decking, which should have been replaced, does not allow the drip edge flashing and gutter apron flashing to sit properly, causing lifting. The concealed ridge vent is wavy all the way across the roof and is lifted in certain sections. There was NO effort made to clean the grounds, and they did not provide a safe pathway for us to exit and enter our home. According to this clause, they expected my family and my dogs to stay in our house for 14 consecutive hours. This was obviously not realistic, so we were forced to take our dogs outside a few times. We had to walk the dogs through nails and aluminum debris that was on the grounds and dropping from the roof overhead. The crew was also throwing food items off of the roof onto the grounds, and my dog snatched up a rib bone and choked on it. They also had an infant on the property throughout the entire duration of the project. 3 days after the completion of the project, they came to clean the job site. I had already cleaned the grounds myself.I now have to pay a different company to completely redo my roof.
