I contacted College Hunks after reading that their organization was endorsed by Shark Tank. That endorsement made me believe that their business was not only legitimate but honest and responsible.On Saturday, September 30, 2022 I spoke with a female representative for them. I wanted to have them remove a ******** over the ground jacuzzi which sits on our wood deck.The representative asked how many persons the jacuzzi sit to which I stated four. After discussing the date for the service to be performed she stated that the price would not include emptying the device. I told her that the jacuzzi had been emptied; the electricity had been shut off as well as the water supply.Next, she gave me the price quote: $404.00 The appointment was scheduled for the following Friday, August 5, 2022.The removal crew was late arriving by 1:30 hours approximately. I was concerned because it had just started to rain.The group leader told me that they were not able to remove the jacuzzi, that the purpose of the trip was only to give a quote. That had not been what the telephone representative had told me during our conversation on September 30th. She indicated that the crew would be removing the jacuzzi on that visit.In addition, the leader of the group told me that there would be other charges not included in the price quote. He gave me a total cost of $635.00; in other words, 50% more than the price I was quoted. The man also said that the jacuzzi was a six person *******. I told him it is a four person ******* and I asked him to take a look for himself. His response was that the price would be what he had already quoted me.After the crew left, I contacted the company. The manager with whom I spoke corroborated the information that I had provided him. And he confirmed what I told him was so.I just wonder if because I am a senior and a woman this organization believed that they could take advantage of me with their pricing.
