I ordered a comforter on 7/11/22, which was right before buying a house and making a long distance move added to other life circumstances so it was a very busy time. The Lakeside Collection started making unauthorized charges for $14.95 per month over the next several months totaling $149.50. I called and spoke to '***', who lied to me and stated they had refunded that amount to my credit card on July 10, 23. I pulled up my card account with her on the phone and stated that there were not any refunds from them at any time for any amount. She then stated I had to write a snail mail letter to the company because they could not authorize electronic refunds. They could take my money electronically, but stated they could not refund it electronically. After this conversation with '***', *** Perks stopped showing up on my credit card statement, up until 3 months ago. *** Perks started making more unauthorized charges against my account totaling another $44.85. *** Perks in total has stolen, because I had never signed up for anything, $194.35 from my account. Last week my credit card company marked LCS Perks as fraudulent and has since sent me a new card, due to this being the 2nd time I called reporting the fraud, therefore the next time *** Perks tries to use my card it will not work. I wouldn't trust this company with a card number and in hoping to have my money refunded that it would be sent via check. I've tried to call the *** Executive phone number and have yet to have them return my call. I'm in hopes that Navy Legal will be able to help with a resolution.

This company shows a price in their catalog and then charges you twice they amount on your credit card. Dont buy anything from lakeside collections

Total scam. I ordered something as a Christmas present and they started automatically charging me $16.95. What a rip-off.

They have been charging me the ***** fee for lakeside perks since it went out of business, filing bankruptcy in Jan 2023 and i didnt notice. You couldnt even access the site so how can they continue to bill you for a service you can get a return on your money! Bery fraudulent

I have always liked Lakeside products and speed of shopping..However their current scam.of taking money from my account claiming I signed up for some membership, which I DID NOT !!! They started this transaction based on "giving" me $10 back...they call it a "perks" and when you agree to "rebate" of $10..You authorized them to sign you up and take money from your account. This scam is run by a 3rd party authoried by Lakeside..BEWARE

SCAM! They have been charging me monthly for $14.95 without my authorization. When I called them, they said I signed up for Perks with an order, which is completely false. They charged me for 4 months in 2022, then there was a pause for several months before charging me again. They said they were in bankrupt for several months and that is why there was a pause. Also, they strategically place the charge very early in the morning so I do not see the push notification from my credit card company.

Just noticed that they've been charging me for a membership without my approval. Stay away from this company.

I have been charged $14.95 monthly for 2 years and had no clue! This company is a SCAM!

I like the selection of products and the pricing. However, God forbid you need to return an item!I contacted them to get a return authorization and was told it would take 3 weeks to receive it in email form! Like a fool I waited but never received it. After multiple phone calls and hearing every delay tactic possible I finally after 2 months got the return shipping label and finally returned the item. A very frustrating and annoying experience that will prevent me from ever ordering again .

LC I guess, was under new ownership on June ******* according to a chat with them. I told them that I have been trying to pay online since they took over, because they immediately (July) demanded full payment and threaten with law suit. I was upset because I had never been late or missed a payment. So for them to immediately send me to collections was ridiculous. At first I got letters, and I would send them back telling them that I only pay online where I can have a immediate receipt. But they dont have a way to do that, supposively, Now they are calling my son at work, he has nothing to do with this at all. If a company files bankruptcy then they should have an obligation to inform their customers first. I will never do business with this company again.
