      started painting my 12/10/21, on the last day 12/11/21 Gabriel had me to review the his work. instantly I noticed the paint was off ..lighter which he agreed . I asked why would you continue- he pushed up his shoulders. also his drywall was pushed out and I said it was incorrect- he refused to fix it. I want a refund

      Gabriel’s Painting has been in business for over 34 years and takes great pride in our work.  We were hired to replace 12 inches of drywall that had been removed due to a basement flood.  Additionally we were hired to repaint the basement, the paint color was to match the existing paint.  The customer claims the wall was pushed out, which is not correct.  We used the existing framing of the wall and the same thickness drywall that was already there.  The area in question has several pipes behind the wall and the wall was originally built to accommodate the space needed for these pipes.  We did not move anything, just simply installed new drywall on the bottom of wall.

       

      Additionally the basement was painted as agreed upon with the color agreed upon by the customer.

       

      My company did this job completely and provided good work and service.  In an effort to resolve this customer’s complaint, we will offer a refund of $500.00.

       I am rejecting this response because:  Gabriel never reviewed with me what color he had purchased, he never told me he had a problem with installing the new drywall because of some pipes, in which I would have told him not to install the drywall and not to paint my walls the color he chose on his OWN.  That was very unprofessional handling to me.  And when I asked him to repaint w/ correct color after he admitted the color, he chose was lighter than the original color.  Also, when I told him he got paint on my door if he could scrap it off.  His response was NO and that my paint was 20 years.  I said I haven't been living here for 20 years and that it was painted fresh when I bought it.   Now I have to rehire another painter to correct the wrong paint color and the crazy drywall he put up which I can bet he would have never accepted at his house.  I declined the $500 and will only accept a refund between $900- 1000 for his messed-up work.

      First of all I’m going to start saying that this is definitely not my style or the type of person this costumer claims I’m, 

      as far as the paint color goes the deal was that I was going to match the existing color on the walls which I took a sample of the walls to Sherwin Williams and they matched it 100% again I’ve been in the business for 35 without a complaint one and as far as the drywall goes we replaced ONLY 12 inches of the bottom of 6 WALLS but the costumer only found a problem one single section of one of one single wall.WE DID NOT DO ANY FRAMING ON ANY OF THE WALLS WE JUST WORKED WITH THE EXISTING FRAMING

      ON THE NORTH PART OF THE WALL THERE IS A CUBBY HOLE THAT THE PERSON THAT FRAMED AND DRYWALLED the basement did it that way because they had to frame around some pipes and that made the south wall section on the cubby hole to be narrow on the top around 2 inches and the bottom of the wall around 6 inches but for some reason the costumer blames my company for the framing of the wall when in reality we only replaced 6 inches on the bottom of the wall, the costumer seems to think that it’s our fault that the framing is completely off but that’s not the only bad framing in the basement that is bad, THE WHOLE ENTIRE BASEMENT WAS FRAMED AND DRYWALLED HORRIBLY she never said anything to me about the color of the walls period, the only thing she found that didn’t like was the little section where the cubby hole is, she was pretty mad and started to call me and my employee INCOMPETENT WET BACKS which I responded to her that it was fine if she didn’t want to pay us for the work that I’d just have to go about it the legal way. But she asked me to wait to give me a check in which she wrote a very nasty note on the front of the check, and later on that night around bar closing time she sent me a very nasty text message making fun of me and telling me that she would get all of her money back. 
      and as far as the the paint on the door frame that we were accused of getting paint on I the paint on it is completely different color and underneath the trim which is impossible for any human being to get any paint there, and she claimed we scratched one of her chairs , well when we got to her house the company that removed the drywall when her basement flooded piled up all of her furniture on top of the bed without any protection when we got there you couldn’t even see the color of the furniture from all the dust on it, we covered up everything in the entire basement before we started with anything and never touched anything, as far as the drywall scraps we just left whatever she paid for it was a full sheet of drywall and 2 big pieces , and we didn’t hang her tv because we had to get our tools out after being called INCOMPETENT WET BACK YOU GUYS BELONG IN MEXICO! 
      the reason I offered 500 to make this go away is because I have no desire to see this person ever again. 
      i can provide proof of everything that I’m writing about.

      I am rejecting this response because%3a The man is lying out of his teeth. If I really said these disrespectful things..wouldn%27t he have mentioned it in his original entry. This alone to make this man lose his business license for falsifying the truth. This only shows signs of a person being caught up in something he knows he did wrong. I%27m only accepting 900 for this bad paint job and drywall he left on me to correct. Because all he should have said he didn%27t know how to do drywall and he should have confirmed the paint before choosing on his own what he wanted like it was his house. I will like to resolve this how is should have been handle in the first place after I told him I was not happy with his work and asked him to correct it but his only response was NO and I will take a deed out on your home if you don%27t pay him. Even though he never drew me up an contract. I will like this resolved like adults with him reimbursing me 900 to get this mess corrected.

      I know my company didn’t do anything wrong everything was done according to what the costumer needed so I don’t believe we owe anything to this costumer that treated us like 3rd class citizens the only reason I offered 500 hundred the first time is to make everything go away but we noticed that that was not the case we were reported to the attorney general making up all kinds of lies that never took place. Again she sent me a text message at 3 in the morning threading me  saying that I didn’t know who I was messing with and that she was going to get every penny back, after doing a little research on this costumer and speaking to the attorney general sounds like this person makes a living doing this and every person that crosses her path ends up in the same situation that she got me into SO THE ANSWER WILL BE A BIG NO
