I received a call from Bloomberg Partners (telephone **************) concerning something to do with my brother. Somehow this collection agency has my information and has called me twice in the past year about a false debt claim against my brother.This "company" is a fraud.Initial Complaint

I received a text message from **** of this company today at 11:19 EST and then a phone call, while working with clients I was not able to respond or call back. It is now 1:31 pm. In that time THAT I KNOW OF, she has reached out via text and call to my husband, sister-in-law and mother-in-law. Speaking with my MIL on the phone then later denying giving her the info about their business and regarding myself. This is absolute harassment, not only lacking giving me the time to respond but calling anyone they could to get ahold of me in less than an hour. When I called back I was notably angry, my husband and I are working to settled debts from YEARS ago and she kept telling me they werent a debt collection agency - then all the sudden that they were quoting incorrect facts about being able to call anyone she wanted to verify they knew me. This is a disclosure breach and she STILL didnt even tell me why she was calling even then I said why then. She was extremely unprofessional in her approach and the company itself has multiple complaints against fraud even including a DAs office warning against speaking with them. The amount of disrespect and lack of care before even speaking with ME or allowing ME to get back to them is ridiculous. You need better practices and representation for your workers.Business response

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, WE RECENTLY RECEIVED A COMPLAINT THAT WAS FILED ON 5/4/22. WE FORWARDED THE COMPLAINT TO OUR COMPLIANCE TEAM THAT TAKE THESE CALLS VERY SERIOUSLY. WE HERE AT BLOOMBERG DO TOLERATE MISHANDLING OF ANY OF OUR FILES WITH THE CONSUMERS. AFTER CAREFULLY REVIEWING THE MONITORED AND RECORDED LINES/WE FOUND THAT OUR REPRESENTATIVE FOLLOWED ALL RULES BASED ON THE ***** ***S. PER THE *** WE ABLE TO CONTACT RELATIVES TO LEAVE MESSAGE FOR THE CONSUMER AND OUR EMPLOYEE DID AS REQUIRED. WE ALSO FOUND THE CONSUMER BECAME VERY IRATE WITH YELLING AND SCREAMING OVER THE ***** AND REFUSED TO ALLOW THE EMPLOYEE TO DIVULGE WHAT THE CALL WAS REGARDING. SHE INSTRUCTED THE CONSUMER THE CALL WOULD BE TERMINATED IF SHE CONTINUE TO USE THAT LANGUAGE. WE DEEPLY APOLOGIZE FOR ANY MISLEADING INFORMATION THAT WAS FORWARDED/WE DO HAVE ALL RECORDED INFORMATION IF REQUIRED.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: FDCPA laws do not allow the company to call anyone third party other then the creditor, previous creditor, the consumer and if over 17 - their spouse. You should brush up on that. I became irate yelling OVER the representative who continued to say if I paid my bills they wouldnt call my whole family you also violated the amount of calls and disclosure laws by giving my name to other people as well as the company also lying about information given to my mother in law and sending text messages without consent to consumers. Your representative was harassing, ride and out of line. If this is how your business practice is - which isnt even accredited - Ill have to seek further legal action.

WE DEEPLY APOLOGIZE FOR ANY MISUNDERSTANDINGS BUT WE HERE AT BLOOMBERG FOLLOW ALL GUIDLINES AND REGULATIONS UNDER THE ***** LAWS. WE AS COLLECTORS ARE ALLOWED TO CONTACT FAMILY MEMBERS AND LEAVE VERBAL MESSAGES FOR THE CONSUMER TO RETURN OUR CALLS. ON THE RECORDED AND MONITORED CALL THE CONSUMER BECAME VERY IRATE YELLING AND SCREAMING USING VULGAR LANGUAGE. ONCE AGAIN WE HAVE THE RECORDINGS WHICH THE EMPLOYEE NEVER DIVULGED ANY INFORMATION TO THE CONSUMER RELATIVES/THE RELATIVE WAS ASKING NUMEROUS QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CONSUMER BUSINESS AND SHE ONCE AGAIN NEVER GAVE ANY INFORMATION TO WHAT THE CALL WAS REGARDING. This company is calling and emailing 3 of my relatives and harassing them over and over over some I know nothing about. They have not contacted me. I tried to call **** from company who has left rude and harassing messages with 3 different relatives.i left a voicemail with my number to call me and today she emailed my brother. To whom it may concern,
We here at Bloomberg Partners recently received a complaint from consumer regarding harassing calls to family members. Our compliance team take these complaints very seriously and review all recordings. We do not tolerate any laws that are broken under the ***** law. Upon our review we found that our collector followed all protocol per the law. We received very nasty and threatening voicemails from the consumer. She used very vulgar language and refused to discuss anything regarding the debt. If needed we can provide recordings that will agree to our findings through our compliance team.

Like I said in my first email, this person first contacted my family without even attempting to contact myself first and when I contacted her, specifically ****, she refused to tell me what the supposed debt or bills entailed only repeatedly said I need to pay my bills so of course this made my curse at her one time , I do not have time for this kind of harassment. I still have no idea what she was calling me about.

I am rejecting this response because: It is untrue . This company never tried to contact me before she, **** contacted more than one of my family members. This obviously is an attempt to embarrass or humiliate. Which it did not. But I was obviously upset when I called because I get many scam calls on a daily basis. When I did call **** refused to let me know what the call was about and argued with me and when I continue to ask her what the call was about she hung up the phone so this is why I am rejecting this answer it is not OK that they are just allowed to lie.

This number text my husband looking for me today 11.22.2021 I called and it is about something I allegedly did 4 years ago. The lady said I **** pay my bills and talked to me like I was the scum of the Earth.She then was reading me my social security number, DOB and license number WITHOUT confirming who I was Was giving me my dad's information saying she had already spoken with him.Called my work after I hung up looking for my supervisor (I am the branch manager) then continued to call me a liar and say she was going to complain about me to corporate Threatened to use my social and other personal information to make more debt for myself..Business response

We received complaint from a consumer regarding allegedly deceptive practices from our company. We here at Bloomberg Partners take complaints very seriously. We have a compliance team that deals only with complaints from consumers. After reviewing the audio tapes our company found that our employee followed all the proper steps to the ***** laws. The consumer became very abusive and using foul language because employee actually reached her at her place of employment. Per the ***** law we are allowed to skip trace to locate a consumer. Also the consumer contacted our office repeatedly for over one hour. She never stated who she was when calling just continuously hanging up the phone. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: they did not reach me at my place of employment. They called my husband, he gave me the number and I called them. If they can review the tapes, they should of seen that. The lady I talked to was extremely unprofessional. Acting like she knew everyone about my life and saying I dont pay my bills? I own a house and all of my bills are paid on time. She then made a comment that I make $2/hr? I told her that I am a branch manager and she laughed and said no i wasnt.. this is what this company says is professional? No wonder the reviews are so bad. Ive never spoken to someone at a place of business that was THAT rude. She was at work speaking to a customer or client like that. That is NOT acceptable and I refuse to take what they sent as acceptable.

We received a rebuttal to our response to a complaint that was recently filed. Once again our compliance team carefully reviewed the audio tapes with several conversations that occurred with our employee and the consumer. She followed all the ***** guidelines on every call. Again she spoke with consumer at her place of employment and she became very irate on the phone. She never once spoke in regards to the current debt or try to make any arrangements. She then contacted our office repeatedly over and over again. We have our call logs from the recent calls as well as the recorded tapes with consumer being very combative. We take any complaints very seriously and we respond as accurately and professionally as possible.Initial Complaint

Received a call on 8/24/2021 from a woman that says she is from Bloomberg partners. A company that has only been open since 3/20/2020. Kind of odd that it started as the pandemic did. The caller had all my information. I did not agree to any of it. that way the caller had no idea if any of it was correct. However, I am scared of them having all my information. The phone number doesn't match the company, it says it's a mobile phone when you research the phone number but the caller uses Bloomberg partners as to whom they are employed. I have also read other things from previous people that the same number has called and they state it's a scam.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: The phone number used to contact me doesnt match the company in any way shape or form. Further more its a company who magically appeared as the pandemic hit. The person who called never verified that they were speaking to the right person before they just started giving out the personal information they say they have on file. Past experience from other business like this wont speak to you Until you have verified you are the correct party . Their is a scammer who is using their company to call people and try to get money out of them for own personal gain. This is not right for people to do who are to lazy to go to work at a real job like some of us do on a daily basis. For a company to not want to deal with this matter is fishy. Someone needs to stop them before they have victims of scam fraud all over the place.
