    We hired JC movers to move our belongings which included a baby grand piano into a *** moving container for storage and eventual move to ******* once our home, which was on the real estate market, was sold. We were assured that they would bring the proper equipment and had experience moving pianos. The date of service was September 27, 2021. We paid for additional men to help with this move. In moving the piano no piano dolly was utilized and the piano itself was not covered. They did not know how to dismantle the piano legs, unscrewed the screws on the under surface and broke off sections of wood next to the screws and instead carried it to the threshold and placed it on the concrete step causing a ***** and scratches in the piano. They then placed it on a standard two wheel dolly, again with no covers, causing scratches to the lid of the piano. The primary mover took pictures of the damages and said I would be contacted the next day for repairs. No one did. We made repeated attempts to speak with *******, the president/CEO of JC Movers, and left messages to contact us and contact the primary mover who took pictures of the damages. Subsequent to this the *** was moved to storage in ******* and awaited our purchase of a new home. We recently were able to relocate into a new home, remove the piano from the *** and are now able to make repairs to the piano. We have submitted 3 estimates of $1,295, $2,840 plus $900 to transport to shop, and $1,420. The lower quotes are for work to be at our house whereas the higher number is for repairs to be done at a repair facility, which I believe would give better results to match original finishes. To refinish this ***** ****** baby grands cabinet in its entirety is $18,000-$20,000. When we call to reach a conclusion we are told the decision makers are at meetings, attending to other claims, are on vacation, or only work on Mondays. Weve given ample opportunities to obtain a response, but to no avail. We can provide pictures.

    Working with ** *************************************** was the worst experience of moving that Ive ever had because of the incompetence and unprofessional behavior of the crew. Only 2 movers showed up rather than the 3 we paid for. When asked, the other movers laughed, smirked at each other, and just said "He's not coming."The crew leader, ******, smelled strongly of alcohol upon arrival. Throughout the day ****** was aloof, slow-moving, and rarely spoke. He stayed inside the townhouse most of the day, taking apart a crib, and left all the hard work and actual moving to the younger member of the crew.The younger man was inexperienced and severely damaged our hardwood floors, front door, and drywall up and down the stairs. He was extremely careless with our possessions and did not load the truck efficiently or safely. He filled the entire trailer with boxes and furniture, but only about 5 high despite having 9' of vertical space to work with. Heavy boxes were placed on top of lighter boxes, and the boxes marked "fragile" were put on the bottom of the load underneath heavy furniture or other heavy boxes. Most of these fragile boxes and their contents were damaged during the cross-country drive. The load was not braced or reinforced in any way to avoid items shifting in transit which caused serious damage to a prized antique bookcase and several other items.When the crew at the destination opened the trailer to transfer the contents into a shuttle, everything had shifted during transit and many boxes were crushed. The crew actually identified a safety risk in unpacking the trailer because items would shift dangerously when a box or piece of furniture was removed. They were able to fit our entire load into 16' of shuttle truck space when stacked efficiently to the ceiling and properly braced. This is 12' less than what the ** moving crew used which represented over $900 in unnecessary trailer space cost.Please avoid this company and look for a more reputable local mover.

    Customer tried to bribe our office to pay him more than our claim process allows. When we refused he threaten to post negative reviews all over the internet.
