I am a member of The Vacation Club (P.O.Box 571, Geneva Ill. *****) I have been charged twice for the same vacation and cannot get the refund they acknowledge is owed to me!On January 27, 2023 I booked a trip to ****** for March 2023 using their agent, *****. I had prepaid some of the cost and he told me the additional charge would be $4,135.06 and that the total may be broken into smaller charges. He called back a short time later and said the charges were denied by my credit card. I called my credit card company and they said no charges had been submitted. I called ***** back and gave him my credit card number(same one) again. Shortly after that three charges totaling the $4,135.06 were made. The next day, Saturday, January 28 another charge was made to my credit card for $4,325.16 for the same vacation. At 9:16am on Monday morning, January 30, I called to correct the double charge. After many calls to their answering service I finally talked with someone in accounting and she didn't want to cancel the second charge because it might be confused and my whole trip would get cancelled. She also said they would put that money back on my credit card or The Vacation Club would refund right after the trip. I was unhappy but this was a Covid make-up trip and I needed to use my prepayment for this trip. I have been emailing and calling repeatedly since March 21 (after the vacation) but they very seldom answer the phone or call back. There are several different phone numbers but one, ************, has gotten a real person. I have finally received $1,300 of the refund. They have used the excuse that they are waiting Blue *** Tours to refund. When I eventually talked to that group they said refund is not their problem! THE VACATION CLUB NEEDS TO REFUND MY MONEY AND THEY CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO SETTLE UP WITH THEIR PARTNER AGENCIES. This is not my problem! I had to pay my credit card charges back in February to avoid interest and such a big charge impacted my credit rating.Initial Complaint

My parents, ****** and *********************************, owned a membership with this club. Their membership number is TVC48033. My father passed in 2017 and mother in June 2021. I later became aware of their membership and contacted the Vacation Club to attempt to sell their membership. I spoke to *********************** initially 12/22/21. 888-906-5951, ********************************************* that time ****** told me it could take a few months to sell the membership noting a recent sale took up to 6 months. He advised me though that in order to do this I would need to renew the membership, which I did at a cost of $398 paid by credit card that same date.My many attempts to discuss this with ******, on anyone at this facility, have been futile. I have called and sent multiple emails without response. It is now over a year later with no results. To add insult to injury, they now email advising the annual membership dues are overdue. I did get a response from ****** advising me I would not need to pay this and promising an update on the sale, but again no response.I am now requesting assistance to resolve this issue. I am a member of The Vacation Club (TVC). My member number is *****. After a canceled flight, JetBlue agreed to refund me $1189.30 on May 10th. However, it had to be refunded through Funjet who originally purchased the ticket. I was told that once Funjet got the refund they would pass it along to TVC who would then refund me. For some reason on May 6th TVC filed a dispute on the credit card they used to pay Funjet for my trip. I have tried to find out why a dispute was filed in the first place and on one can tell me. It is because of this dispute that my refund has been held up for 132 days. I understand things take time but my biggest issue is that fact that I have left tons of messages for numerous people at TVC and they do not return my phone calls. I know they have caller ID (because one of the representatives told me) and they are purposely avoiding my phone calls. My other complaint is that one of TVCs representatives, ***** in Promotions, supposedly set-up a claim for me with a ************************ called Trip Mate so I could try to get reimbursed for loss wages and other expenses due to our flight being canceled on April 17th. I spent hours writing a long letter to the ************************ and providing documentation for ***** to submit to Trip Mate. He supposedly submitted it on June 1st. Ive called Trip Mate 3 times and they say that no claim with my name has been submitted. I have left numerous messages with ***** and his managers regarding this but have no received a return call. At this point I would like to speak to a Supervisor above the managers. I need someone who can help me through this process and be a point person for me to contact. My phone number is ************. I am waiting on a $1189.30 refund plus over $1000 that the Trip Mate should be reimbursing me. It saddens me to have to make this complaint but I have been a member with this company for over 15 years. All they had to do was get back to me with some answers.Initial Complaint
