On Sept 17th, I suffered water in my basement. On the 18th, I called around to several cleaning services and Global Cleaning aka Green Clean said they could come out that day. I was asked to send pictures to the person I was speaking with and I did that. He gave me a quote of "from $600 - $*****. While I was hoping for something at least in the middle of that range, I was prepared for the high end. The representative showed up, began to bring equipment in to work. I asked about the contract but was told I would get that when the work was done. He came upstairs and quoted me $ *****+. I told him that I had been quoted a maximum of *****. He said to let him call the office to see what he could do. He made the call in front of me and preceded to tell "the office" that I was a senior and first time customer and could they meet the quote. I don't believe he really called anyone. Call seemed staged to me. He got off the phone and said they would meet the quote. Why didn't he call the person who I talked to initially. When I got the contract/bill, there was a travel fee included (never mentioned).They left the equipment and said I would be called to arrange a time for them to pick it up & finish the job. He went through all of the closets and emptied them out without even asking where I might want stuff. I was not present when he did that. When they came back (a different crew), they called me 15 minutes before arrival from a cell number I did not recognize so I did not answer. 15 minutes later there is a knock at my door. They were there for equipment. They were supposed to put the furniture back where they moved it from. I had to tell them to do that. After they left, I went to close the closet doors and one would not close. I called them immediately. They came back. Said water had damaged the track of the door. I don't believe that. I think initial guy broke my door. Water would not damage the track. They should have repaired my door. BewareReview from David R

On June 17, 2022, Green Clean Carpet Cleaning came out to clean the air ducts in my home Since then, the air conditioning unit started making a different, loud noise. During my routine furnace and air conditioner check up, the service tech found plugged jun, oversized muck the size of a 16 inch softball that settled into the furnace from the air ducts. This plugged up the drain in the furnace, causing water to leak into the furnace and onto the basement floor. This is an irresponsible service that caused damage to the furnace. The water damage also caused damage to a mirror (wood frame). At that time I believe that a jewelry box filled with my mother's jewelry was taken. The box was in a room that is rarely used, and no one goes into that room.Global Cleaning & Restoration Services Inc Response

If you would have contacted us we would have come out at no cost to inspect your system and remedy any issues. All of our employees are background checked and have been with the company a minimum of 3-5 years. The specific technician that was at your home ***** has been with our company for ************************************** his field of air duct cleaning. Not once in all of the 15 years ***** has been with us has he ever been accused of theft in a home. We do take this matter seriously and are currently investigating this issue. As of now you have spoken with the general manager and you have accepted a credit back to you for any inconvenience. If you are still experiencing issues please don't hesitate to call our office. My rugs were gone for 2 months and they are not even close to clean. I had to call three times to find out where the rugs where. When they finally agreed on a delivery date, 6 weeks later, and they didnt show up. After calling again, they were able to deliver, 2 months after pick up, when I was told it would take 2 weeks to clean the rugs. **************** asked if I wanted the rugs placed back down in the home, and I said yes. The delivery man refused to unroll the rugs after dropping them off. I now know why he refused to unroll them. I unrolled them, and they are filthy. They have visible pet hair, dirt, stains and smell. It doesnt look like they cleaned the rugs at all. I would never use this company again. I paid over $500 and they ripped me off. Utilized their carpet cleaning services for the first time as the person who had being doing this for us for years is no more. Perfect example of bait and switch and from reading other experiences realize that my experience is not the only one.The $14.95 per room is a joke. You have to buy the 25 cents per square foot pre-treatment which is the big ticket item. This is sold as a 'as needed' service but turns out it is needed everywhere. Room count and room area measurement (for the pre-treatment) seemed arbitrary. I intend to validate the measurements made by the technician. The technician tried selling an additional service he said was needed to completely remove the shampoo and the chemicals and was quoting something like $2 or $3 per square foot! I asked him why I had to pay extra to get the soap and chemicals they were putting in removed and I did not understand his answer. After the service I called them back and asked them to review these practices and review the charges. I kept hearing 'we gave you and estimate and you agreed to it' over and over again. Well.. we have guests coming over for the 4th and was stuck with these guys. We do apologize about your experience with our company, but we do feel that we went through all of our services that are detailed on our website regarding your complaint. To begin, the preconditioning is detailed on our website, and coupon that you refer to, as a required part of the services to be done. As well, the technician measured the exposed areas twice in the home for you prior to beginning the services, and the after the services were completed in your home, to show that it was an accurate area that we were cleaning. We explicitly explain that prior to our service starting, that they provide an estimate and with YOUR approval begin the cleaning at that time. It is a no obligation estimate, you could have refused. Our technicians are professional in their assessment's of carpeting, and what services need to be completed, especially when the owner has not properly maintained their carpeting.Review from Janis M

I was never told when I made the appointment, or when the technician came that there was a transportation fee. I was also quoted on the phone the cost was ***** per room for my living room and family room. When I was charged at the end of the service, they charged me for 3 rooms instead of 2 without telling me beforehand that my family room was being charged as two rooms. The receptionist should have asked for measurements.When I called the manger to complain she said, "Well I don't know what the receptionist told you, this appointment was made a month ago". She was extremely rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. She said it was my fault for not stopping the service and having the tech call her. My technician never said anything about a travel fee, or that I was being charged for three rooms before he started. It was 3 days before Thanksgiving, and I am hosting 16 people, my hands were tied and I believe they knew it. The manger said if the tech called her and said I had issues with the price she may have made adjustments, but she will do little or nothing after the fact. Some of the up charges I did not know about until after he was done. This business needs to be investigated for deceptive pricing practices.Global Cleaning & Restoration Services Inc Response

We do apologize about your experience with our company, based on our conversation after the services were completed, you agreed to have the services completed but had reservations regarding the services. We do explain that when the services are booked, our technicians will come out and provide a quote to you, with YOUR approval they would begin the services the same day. It was also explained that had you had any issues with the cost, our technician would have contacted the office and not done anything you, the customer, wasn't comfortable with. We did not twist your arm or force you to complete the services, you chose to proceed with the cleaning. As well, all companies have a minimum and maximum square footage per room and how the classify them, what you had in your home, was considered 3 rooms and was explained as part of the promotion. Again, had you not been comfortable with our services, we would not have proceeded or done anything at that time. We advertise clearly and explain our services on our website and when a customer calls into our office and explain in clear detail prior to completing the services. We do appreciate your feedback, but we believe this issue to have resolved by the refund and credit you also received.
