We had a roof, siding, soffit and facia put on our house last summer. Insurance took care of most of the roof, but there was over $10,000 out of pocket. The gutters started running over in March, and the roof leaks by the chimney over the covered deck. I called the person that I worked with on the project and she has moved on to another job. but said she would work with me to get satisfaction. She has tried several times to get the company to contact me, but to no avail. The work is under warranty and all I want is for the job to be fixed so that it is right.Business response

First, we apologize for the delay in responding. Due to travel out of state, we somehow missed both the email and physical mail notifications regarding this issue. Second, we also apologize for the unfortunate issue of the customer’s communication with their previous Project Manager and our former business associate. In fact, we have NOT been notified by our previous associate that the customer was experiencing an issue. Given multiple unfortunate circumstances, we are in litigation with our former associate. We have no record of receiving any direct communication to our central office from either the customer nor our former associate. Thus we are only just now aware of any issue.
Our business practice at Cardinal Catastrophe Service involves assigning a Project Manager to handle all aspects of the project for our clients. We find this practice valuable as it allows our clients to work with one individual throughout the entire process. In addition, we do have a central office and primary office phone number. We are always available via our direct line at 618-659-9800. Occasionally we do experience the departure of business associates and those parties become disgruntled to the extent that they do not maintain professionalism when contacted by previous customers. We do our best to avoid those situations and instead maintain amicable separation. Regardless, we are ALWAYS available to service our clients when contacted directly at any time, both during the project work and after completion.
We will contact this customer immediately and resolve any issues in an expedient manner.Customer response

Cardinal Catastrophe did contact me and set up a time to come look at the problem. They called and said they couldn’t make it so we changed the time. They texted and asked if they could change the time again and I said yes. I’m still waiting on an appointment.Customer response

My complaint with Cardinal Catastrophe has been resolved. The leak in the chimney was not due to flashing but due to crumbling cement between the bricks. Ed fixed that issue. He also fixed the overflow of the guttering with deflectors. He was very respectful and kind, and he got the job done quickly.Thanks to Bob and Ed for their follow up and quick work.
