ALWAYS lose either my boyfriend's check or mine for mortgage payments, even though they are in the SAME envelope! First, it was they lost my boyfriend's check but then found it and applied it and told us to send exact payments. So we did. Then, they lose my check and can't seem to find it, even though I have a record that I paid it and I KNOW I put it in the SAME envelope! I don't know how they can be that incompetent, unless they let a check fall out. They told me on the phone that we need to do payments in separate envelopes (information that could have been a useful update by mailed letter or phone call, but that was NEVER received) and that if it doesn't show in my account by this week, to call back and then make another payment, within the grace ****** of 10 days. Ok, but I better not be charged a late fee because of YOUR incompetence! It is also IMPOSSIBLE to set up an online account, as entering my or my boyfriend's correct information to do so, produces a result of a message stating that I need to contact customer service as it is unavailable for my loan. WHY??!!!???!I really would like to consider going to a different company to process payments, if it were possible. This experience is INFURIATING! How can you lose checks?!!?!? Negative Stars !!! This was the worst home-purchasing experience ever !! Don't deal ever with ******* he was rude, bs us through the whole process, and is very disorganized called me on the day of closing for more documents and we had to wait 2 hours at the closing for documents. The loan officer was pushing from the start for us to put the lowest amount down on our down payment. We were selling our current property and wanted to put the remaining amount left towards our new home purchase. He kept saying how dumb that is etc. We finally sent him a text saying it's the way we want it or we arent going through with the process. He agreed he send the disclosure papers to sign and I told him the loan amount still doesn't match what we agreed on he said he would fix this before closing. The day of the closing came we sold our home in the am and went to our new home closing in the afternoon. After signing a few documents the closure disclosure document came back and he never changed he put that we are putting 30% down instead the 50%. We called right away and he told at this point you have no choice but to sign because we sold our home and there is nothing I can do at this point and we can lose this purchase as well. We have two small kids we felt helpless at this point to sign the documents but our mortgage is doubled from what we agreed on. We will be taking legal action on this hoping it doesn't happen to anyone else!Review from Dana A.

This is the worst most unprofessional loan company to work with. If I could give it zero stars I would. It is very unfortunate that this company has a worker like *************************** working there. He has made the process of getting our dream home such a nightmare. This person is very unprofessional and could care less of his job. Thanks to him I was not able to get the dream house me and my husband wanted. He never locked down our percentage rate when we told him to and I have text messages that prove it. He tried to amend his mistake by giving us a lower rate so that we could buy a house which was a buy-down. We had to pay to get a lower rate, which to me is inexcusable. Why would we have to pay for his mistake? It should be coming out of his pocket not ours. He had the audacity to tell my realtor that we never told him when clearly we did. (Check out my yelp review) He never took our business seriously. If he didn't want to make a sale he could have just told us straight up and we wouldn't have wasted our time. His customer service was beyond the worst one I have ever encountered and I hope to never deal with this company again. I will be taking my business else where and wouldn't recommend anyone to this company due to a particular loan officer. I would not be surprised if this similar situation happens to someone else and it would be really unfortunate. I cannot stress this enough, Do not get this particular loan officer. His number one priority are not his clients!!!Review from Rhonda C

So this is for the one in ************* **, branch manager **** where he knew about our situation n still let us go through with it giving us hope at thinking everything will be fine, and was suppose to be closing in a couple of days n long story short we had to pull out the deal n lost our ******* money because of the amount of the mortgage going up about ****** and the sad thing about it we told him what our budget was. He told our realtor one thing thinking our payments would be the same but it was not. I would never recommend them to nobody.Neighborhood Loans Inc. Response

While we try to accommodate every client's perfect loan, there are certain circumstances in the market that can be beyond our control. Any changes to a loan are disclosed prior to closing so that every client can make informed choices before closing. After speaking to the branch and the agents, Neighborhood Loans is reimbursing you for half of the ******* money.Review from John P

If I could leave a negative 5 stars I would. The people I had dealt with are very unprofessional. I was told not to make my next months payment it will be paid off before the due date. As the month got closer to the end I sent a text to see what was going on. They started to back track and it sounded like maybe its not going to happen. I previously left a negative review. Neighborhood Loans had made a mistake in a mailing which resulted in 2 payments being made on my mortgage. The immediate follow-up had made things more difficult. However, Neighborhood Loans not only eventually fixed the problem, they went beyond the resolution I was seeking by offering a monetary bonus for my trouble.In the end, I can honestly and happily endorse this company.Review from Daniel D

Our mortgage was sold to Neighborhood Loans (**). We set up *** to make our payments. We received a letter in the mail from ** stating that our *** was denied. We went online and saw that the payment had not been made by the due date so we made it. The next day, ** took another payment out of our credit union account. A couple of days later, we received an apology letter stating the "denial letter" should not have been in the computer, along with the obligatory, "sorry for any inconvenience" statement.I called ** and told them we needed the money put back in to our account ****, so that we wouldn't be overdrawn. The first person I spoke with told me I needed a bank statement and would have to convert it *** to prove the money was taken out. I asked, "Don't you have my account in front of you?" I was told yes. I asked if the double payment could be seen and was told, "Yes." I said, "Since this was **'s mistake, why can't you put the money in the account?" I was told that's the way it was.Not satisfied, I called back. I told the person I needed to speak with a supervisor. She instead put me on hold and spoke with her team leads, and then told me a check would be overnighted and I wouldn't have to convert my statement to ***. That was on Friday May 7. By Monday May 10 still no check. I was overdrawn in my bank account and charged $30. I called ** back and was told the reason I didn't receive the check was because I hadn't converted the bank statement to ***.I would avoid doing business with this company. If you have a new mortgage or refinance, I would require the lender to stipulate that the loan not be sold to Neighborhood Loans.Neighborhood Loans Inc. Response

Mr. Dyer is 100% correct – Neighborhood Loans got this wrong. This is not how we do business. To help make it right, we’ve refunded the double-charged portion, confirmed with his bank that the NSF fees were waived, and given a $500 refund in consideration for the headaches we’ve caused him this week. Neighborhood Loans has an obligation to make sure that everyone we service is taken care of properly and with respect. Mr. Dyer’s situation has given us a reason to look hard at our servicing and get better.
