The salesman came , took pictures and measured. The doirbell at the front door was clearly visible through the whole process. The day if install they told me I had to move the doorbell. In this case it would require an electrician and complete rewiring. The salesman did not tell me that the door would be placed outside of the original door frame thus blocking any access to the doorbell and the wiring. Due to a safety concern the doorbell and camera are necessary. ***** has refused to refund any portion of the down payment. Yet they are at fault as none of this was stated at the time of sale. He assured me the door would fit.Business Response

Complaint: 23946803
I am rejecting this response because: I agreed to have a person come to the home and check the status of moving the door bell. This person has not arrived at my home. The door has not been installed and I still doubt the ability to move the doorbell. I don't even know if the person they are supposedly sending out is a certified electrician. I won't consider this resolved until either the door is properly installed or I have received money back from Feldco.

Installer arrived as scheduled on 10/6 as scheduled to move the door **** and prep the door for installation. Customer refused to let the installer perform the work he was scheduled to do that day. Feldco has the capability to perform the installation as contracted, and intends to perform the installation as contracted, still working with the home owner to get a date scheduled to complete the work.

I am rejecting this response because:
Felco seems to be looking for every excuse to not refund the money. The offer today was to return $99 of the downpayment. This is unacceptable. Yes they sent someone to look at the door and doorbell. The person who came told me that they could remove a portion of the inside door frame and they MIGHT be able to see the wiring behind the doorbell. He confirmed that there was not enough wire to complete the task. I understand that the wiring is low voltage but this man is not an electrician, he could not guarantee that the wires could be accessed, and he could not guarantee that no damage would be done to the drywall around the area where they proposed the work. This was Feldco's mistake from the start. I should not be expected to have this much done to install a screen door for whatever reason must hang outside of the existing doorframe rather than inside the space already there and capable of holding just about any other screen door on the market. The person I spoke with changed just about everything that was said to me when the person came out. $99 isn't enough compensation for a mistake that they made.I am filing a formal complaint with the *******************************************************************

On 7/2/24 I had 2 bathroom windows installed, a new roof, gutters, fascia and soffit work done to my home from Feldco . I paid $35,232.00 for the work.Feldco promised me a full roof tear off and replacement of faulty/soft damaged wood on the roof and on the (fascia) plank per the contract. My nature of this dispute is; Feldcos failure to do repairs per the stipulation of the contract. They did not replace the existing plank boards that were severely warped, instead they wrapped the existing warped plank boards with the fascia. They also did not change out any of the soft boards on my roof. The new gutters, down spouts, bands and end caps are different colors. The gutter color doesnt match the fascia and soffit color. Some gutters have 2, 3, 4 different colors. The screen porch joined to my home they didnt install a roof vent as I had done on my house roof. The fascia around my home have seems under a few windows is this proper? People who see it and a couple Feldco installers say NO, but Feldco managers say YES. The 2 windows installed, they did not caulk around them. This would have let rain, insects and whatever else get inside. Feldco has been out to my home 4 times trying to match the gutters to all be uniform and match the fascia and soffit but it's been unsuccessful. They stopped reaching out to me. I called Corporate, then I got a call the next day, but told him i wasn't gonna deal with the same people I'm getting no where with. I would like to try and get a refund, and if that's not possible, I would like ALL the work re-done the correct way. No repairing where they messed up.Thank you,*********Business Response

Sales and Operations manager met with customer and inspected the installation on 9/11/2025. *** request additional work be done, that was not paid for in the original contract. Customer and Managers agreed that it could be done at additional cost and would follow up with the cost. Sales Manager followed back up on 9/16 to discuss costs with the customer and left a voicemail for her to return his call. We have yet to hear back from the customer to finalize the resolution but are in the process of working through it with her as the deadline to respond to the BBB comes due.Initial Complaint

We hired Feldco in March 2025 to replace 2 windows and an outer balcony door. The work was done in mid-April this year. But in the process of replacing the balcony door, they removed a retractable screen door from the doorway and never communicated to us that it would not be put back on. Both the salesman we worked with, the the measuring tech deferred the decision on the screen door to the installers. Their communication was poor throughout the process. We would never have scheduled the door replacement if they told us the screen door would be taken down and not replaced. When it was brought to their attention the Salesman told me he would have to get his Mgr's okj to reimburse to pay for a new screen door. The Mgr told me that they do not make retractable screen doors, so I asked him to reimburse us $200.00 towards a new one (the cost is closer to |$235.00) and I would return the 2 $100.00 gift cards they gave us. Numerous calls to both of them resulted in unreturned messages. Our present screen door is to narrow for the doorway now. The business has refused to help us replace the screen door or admit to not warning us that it would be taken off and not replaced installed back on.Business Response

I am a feldco customer I purchased new ********************** and sliding doors throughout my home. Feldco advertises a life time warranty, which is not true. I had an issue with my sliding door lock and called in to customer service where I was told to have someone come look at the issue it would be $130 bucks. With no other option i was forced to pay the $130 bucks to have someone come and look at the problem, technical arrived today was here maybe 5 minutes and stated he had to order a new lock. Originally I am told I am under warranty installation and parts are covered under warranty as long as damage is due to normal wear and tear. I then get a call from feldco advising to repair the lock there would be an additional 60 dollar charge to pay for labor? So now Im totaling almost 200 to get a lock fixed on a sliding door that has a lifetime warranty!! This is deceptive practices and I am curious as to how to file a complaint at the corporate level and refund my money spent on repair for a product that is supposed to be under warranty. This is a horrible practice to take advantage of the customer/consumer and ******************** should be held accountable because they are not holding up their end of the purchase. Their advertised commercial states LIFE TIME WARRANTY I will have to pay 190 to have a patio sliding lock replaced. Wheres the warranty in that if Im paying for the cost of the lock. Its deceptive!!! I paid for a product I want it to work, if it breaks due to normal wear and tear as stated it should be covered lifetime under warranty and not the sneak prices to have an individual fix the product and your company makes a profit.Business Response

We have 3 windows that the top half will not stay up. We contacted them 3 times April 3 requesting service. 2 weeks later they finally returned call and set up service for May 15. A technician came but did not have needed parts . Told it would be a week for product to be ordered. Ten days later they called to set up a repair for June 10. Waited for them to come today but called hour after scheduled time stating they did not have parts and they would have to be ordered. I asked to talk to manager and after 2 calls still have not had a response. I want my service fee refunded and the repairs to be completed. We cannot open windows and one will not fully close.Business Response

Signed contract 5/10 and put 50% down which was $ *****. On 5/15 my AC went out on my house. Tried to get my deposit back to reallocate the funds to the **** system. FELDCO REFUSES TO REFUND MY MONEY prior to installation. They never even scheduled an installation date. Feldco took me for 2k, they refuse to give me the windows and they refuse to return the deposit. This company has gone down hill. I have requested a refund and to cancel for the following reason: Due to breach I am asking to cancel this contract and they are refusing to return my money.1.Incorrect Window Sizes: Despite two separate measurements, the windows provided during the first installation attempt were not the correct size, preventing the completion of the project.2.Incorrect ************** During the second installation attempt, the window grates provided were white instead of the agreed-upon wood tone that was meant to match the panels of the windows, deviating from the contracted design specifications. What is noted within the contract related to the grids was an error and lack of communication from your sales representative. As he was in my home and I showed him new windows installed by another company and asked for the exact look and feel. (See picture of my current windows and what was installed below)image0.jpeg image1.jpeg 3.Project Timeline Delays: The original project completion date was scheduled for September 23rd, yet the windows were not installed due to sizing issues. A second attempt on October 4th was also unsuccessful due to design discrepancies.4.Consistent Miscommunication: There has been ongoing miscommunication regarding key project elements, resulting in delays and an overall lack of clarity regarding the completion of the work.5.Poor Customer Experience: The repeated errors and lack of communication have led to a substandard customer experience, which I find unacceptable. These issues represent a clear breach of the contract terms and have caused significant inconvenience and frustration on my part. I am requesting that all further actions related to this contract be immediately ceased and that any fees or charges be waivedBusiness Response

We had Feldco come out and give us a quote for the windows on the front of our house to be replaced. We were happy with their quote and decided to move forward on August 13th of 2024 with them. We paid them half down and agreed we'd pay the second half after the installation. They ended up sending someone to come and measure the windows twice to be sure they had the correct measurements. Windows were then installed on Sept 20th and that's when things went wrong. We had 3 full sized windows and 2 transom windows replaced. Two men showed up in an unmarked truck and trailer to do the work. They argued the entire day. Our children were home and their language was horrible. The install day was a VERY hot day and they left our front door open the entire day letting any sort of cool air out that our air conditioner couldn't keep *****, the install. They cut 2x4s and lined our windows on all 4 sides with a 2x4 first before the installed the windows. The 2x4s are exposed on the inside of our house and on the top of one of the windows it doesn't fit at all so there are 2 2x4s stacked on top of each other with spray foam as well. There is a mess of caulking on the outside of the house on our new siding as well as caulk on the new windows. One window has crooked grid lines on the inside of the window and the window isn't level. This was mentioned to the installers and he said it's ok b/c the shash works. We were told that there would be NOTHING for us to do after the new windows were installed, but they installers told us we'd have to paint over the exposed 2x4s on the inside of the house. They also put so many tacks of nails to tack down our current trim that it's ruined. There are so many holes in the trim now and it has to be take off and replaced. We currently owe them another $3250 for a total to be paid of $6500.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because their response is a straight up lie and they know it.
I was home standing in my kitchen in my pajamas when the contractor showed up. My husband answered the door and asked the contractor to wait b/c we needed to figure out how we were going to move the furniture and what to do with our children since we didn't know they would be there. I was told by Feldco (*****) on 9/25 that the contractor5 (****) would call me with a time frame prior to coming out so we would know when to expect him on 10/4. I work from home and can't take off work on a whim. Since, Feldco never called to give me a time and ***** never gave me a time over the phone on 9/25 I thought they had forgotten to come.
After asking the contractor to wait, we decided to reschedule b/c we have so much furniture to move and didn't do that ahead of time b/c it's in the room our children sleep and we weren't give a time frame of when to expect them.
This is when i called ***** and he lied over the phone and told me that **** the contractor did call and he was looking at his call logs showing that he did call me ahead of time to confirm his arrival. I didn't mention any of that conversation to the contractor when he came on 10/9....one of the first things he said to us when he arrived at our house is sorry for the miscommunication last week, he didn't know he was supposed to call me to confirm a time. He would have if he knew to call me. Some one is lying to the customer. That's terrible business.

I am rejecting this response because: I'd like to add more information to this case. Feldco has been out to our house two more times since the last update to this case. At this point....we are ready to be done working with them. The sash for the crooked grid has been replaced, but after it was put in, the window didn't work properly. So, we had to call Feldco and schedule them to come out ANOTHER time. If they'd do this correctly the first time. On 11/8 they came out and adjusted the window and now it's working better. That same window still is crooked from the initial install, but they don't want to come and completely remove and install the window correctly stating that it shouldn't cause us any issues down the road. They've offered to take $250 off our bill, which is a slap in the face, but they will not work with us at all. They've also stated that our old binds can be installed into the window and will not void our warranty so we will be installing them into the window below the transom window and hopefully that works as they say it will. I wish they were a company that would recognize how difficult this process has been.
Sincerely,
