My wife, ******, and I purchased a "new" sectional for our new home to be picked up at the store as our new address is located outside The Dump delivery area. We picked up the "new" sectional from The Dump on 3/27/24, which was packed in 4 unopened boxes. I spent the day unloading a 26' box truck and finally unpacked and assembled the "new" sectional around 10:00 pm. To my surprise, several sections of the "new" sectional were damaged and filthy. One lower section was clearly used given the level of filth and the center corner wedge piece had damaged, broken, used legs attached to the bottom. It was clear to my wife and I that only certain sections of these individually packed and wrapped sections were actually "new" and that some were used and had been re-packaged as new. We notified The Dump customer service immediately, provided photographic supporting documentation, and they offered to replace one damaged section of the sectional as well as one of the end pieces which was also clearly damaged. They would not replace the corner wedge piece (which was by far the most evidently used pieces) but instead offered to have a service come out to "clean" the fabric. Through a series of unanswered calls from my wife to the dump, and subsequent delayed text message responses, our frustration grew as The Dump refused to stand by their "new" product and offer to replace the remaining wedge piece. We were clearly sold several "used" pieces of a sectional that were passed off as "new". The Dump emphatically refuses to fully replace the obviously used sections but have instead offered a "cleaning" of what should be a brand-new piece of furniture, claiming "it could have been damaged in the warehouse or in transit". Even if the section was damaged at the warehouse, am I truly expected to believe that a new section of sofa was boxed up with broken legs attached and filthy stains on the base? These are deceptive practices by The Dump and I request replacement of all damaged pieces.
