1 star**********, they DON'T get the best price for the "angels". They get the greatest possible profits for themselves. And they lie shamelessly to both parties. Only 3% failure for whom? They profit the most when clients fail completely. And they hold all the power to control the money and manipulate every step of the process. They promised my daughter they would support her throughout the pregnancy. Don't worry bout a thing. BUT they wouldn't accept her until SHE got ******** to cover 100% of her medical costs. After she chose a family to adopt they refused to move forward, forced her to first call 2 families she had no interest in and pretend she was considering them. They were miserly every step of the way. Always had an excuse for not providing the support they promised. They told her everything they paid her was money SHE was taking from her child's college fund!! We learned later what i suspected all along: THEY keep all the remaining funds. They didn't cover any rent for the first 6 months. They paid a total of 2.5 months rent. All 3 checks arrived a week late. She was left to beg borrow and steal the extra funds for transportation, or miss Dr. **** and get dropped from the program. They would only reimburse after she got herself to her Appts and provided receipts for proof. Out of the $22,000 they took from the adoptive family, the "angel" received a total of $5220. Both parties were supposed to meet at the signing. But they scheduled her to come alone (the didn't want the client to witness) They suggested she take a day and sleep on it before deciding. Then called the hospital (not their client) as soon as we left, told the hospital the adoption was canceled and to revoke their clients' visitation rights!! When both parties protested the cancellation just hours later, they said it was too late because they already canceled court. They refused to complete the legal adoption or pay the other half of the money still owed to the mother.Angel Adoption

Hi ***, thank you for taking the time to speak out on behalf of your daughter. We have obviously not worked with you directly, and there seems to be some confusion about the process and the fees. The choice to place, choice of family, type of communication, birth plan, and post placement plan are all decided upon entirely by an expectant mother. No one controls the process but her, and the ultimate choice to place her child or not is also decided upon by her. Our role in the process is to help her find a loving family, and to provide support & referral services throughout her pregnancy. An adoption process includes fees paid by a family that get split up between a home study, court costs, attorney fees, social worker fees, background checks, profile development, marketing, expectant mother support, ICPC clearances, finalization, travel costs, and post placement support. We do not have any fee amount that equals the amount you mentioned, so we're not sure if you are incorrect about the amount or if you have confused us with another agency. We can tell, however, that you care deeply about your daughter, and we hope she has found peace in whatever decision she has made for herself and her baby, whether that was to place or not. Our mission remains as it always has been, to grow families through the miracle of adoption, and to support the courageous women that make that possible.Review fromMatt J

5 starsWe chose Angel after being recommended by a friend. All of the staff was really supportive along the way. Although it took time and patience, we ended up with the sweetest little girl. Thank you for being a part of our journey.Angel Adoption

1 starI want to start by saying, we had a great experience with Angel in 2019 and have a beautiful son thanks to them. Fast forward to 2023 and our experience this time around has been the complete opposite. We were matched with a birth mother in ***** and we were told to use Little Flower based in ******. My husband and I reached out to Angel on at least 3 different occasions asking for a second recommendation, letting them know some of our experiences with this HORRIFIC group of women, which I am not sure how they are licensed. I asked Angel why were were given an agency that was not in *******, it was a three hour commute. I was reassured they have used **** at Little Flower for years and she is certified in all of *****! Little Flowers refunded ** every bit of our money that we were not obligated to receive back that we were not expecting, which shows how little they helped us. As I am reflecting on this entire situation, Angel should have done something for us to support us when we were very uncomfortable using this horrific, unprofessional agency. They literally did nothing but tell us how wonderful she was. I am extremely disappointed in the adoption process and how Angel seems to take your money and leave you hanging when you needed them to advocated and do their research on these people. I DID do some research and this "certified" agency has other undesirable remarks by other bystanders. Angel needs to do better for their adoptive families when they need them the most.Angel Adoption

Hi *****, we have been working closely with Little Flower for more than 15 years and they have successfully assisted our families and birthmothers with hundreds of connections. We are very critical of the service providers we refer our families to and would not hesitate to discontinue our relationship with a service provider whose practices don't measure up to our standards. In your situation, Little Flower was hired to support the expectant mother you were communicating with, which they did. That also included supporting her when she decided to parent her baby instead of moving forward with an adoption plan. When a connection doesn't work out, we understand the frustration and need to place blame; however, we prefer to look at it instead as having had the opportunity to help a brave woman during a very difficult time in her life. We respect her decision and wish her all the best. In the meantime, we hope you are able to refocus your efforts on moving forward with your adoption journey.Review fromKatie M

1 starWe have been contracted with Angel Adoption since October 2020 with the fee of $18,200 (up front). We have had all of our preferences open for the most part of our contract, put on the priority listing, and received two complimentary extensions. For the first year of being contracted, we had zero opportunities. In the second year we finally got two opportunities, one didnt make a connection and actually went *** and the other turned into a connection but ended up a failed adoption the day after the baby was born. That cost us a lot of money and a lot of emotional grievances. Since October 2022 (our first complimentary extension) we had one opportunity that did not seem safe for my husband and I to pursue. Our second complimentary extension we received zero activity. The numbers that are sent to us on profile presentations and views is not a viable source to hopeful parents. The way numbers are reported to hopeful parents seem to be made-up or random and not reassuring. We decided to go with Angel Adoption 2.5 years ago because they had 3% fail rate, the BBB had good ratings at the time on the company, and they were marketed as an adoption agency. After contracting with Angel Adoption, my husband and I have experienced the exact opposite of the three reasons why we chose Angel Adoption. At this point it would feel like an even bigger scam if we were to throw more money into this company. If they have clients such as us; in good faith, Angel Adoption should compensate a percentage of costs clients have paid because Angel Adoption has failed them. I will be contacting multiple outlets so I can least prevent other hopeful parents from dumping their life savings into false hope.Angel Adoption

Hi ****. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. During your first year with us, your preferences were actually quite narrow. As your contract time went on, you decided to open up your preferences more and your presentation numbers went up as a direct result of those choices. We are proud of our marketing results and presentation numbers for our families, and your family is a great example of how well our marketing efforts work. You were chosen four different times by expectant mothers considering adoption. We cannot force any expectant mother to like or feel comfortable with your family. If, after getting to know you, they choose another family or decide to not move forward with adoption at all, that is their choice and completely out of our control. For one of the birthmothers who chose you, your family actually decided not to move forward at all with her "to protect yourselves" because her story shared some similarities with other expectant mothers' stories. Luckily she did not give up on the adoption process as a result of that and instead went on to place her baby with another one of our families. Our job is to market you and notify you of opportunities that come your way. What you decide to do with those opportunities is also out of our control. The most beautiful part of adoption is it is the organic choice between an expectant mother and an adoptive family. We cherish expectant moms and adoptive families going through this process, as it is the most emotional journey they are on together and will probably ever experience. We're sorry your journey didn't end the way we all hoped, but we wish you well and the best of luck in your future endeavors.Review fromPaul K

1 starThey are baby brokers who get the best price for the supposed "angels" that carry the baby. They are NOT there to help the adoptees.....unless you have the money for the supposed "angel". They also say they have adoptions in a bunch of the states. This is false after talking with the lawyer i had thru the failed adoption we went thru. She never even heard of them and told me after the aftermath that there business practices are sketchy and to check into them. They told us a year to match. Two years later and thru a failed adoption, we were still not matched. Go thru an adoption consultant. We were matched in less than 3 months and now we have our beautiful baby boy! I could write a book on all the sketchy stuff they did...Angel Adoption

Hello ****. Our birthmothers are not supposed angels, they absolutely are angels in our eyes and, in fact, the namesake of the company. They bring miracles to our waiting families who otherwise would be childless in many scenarios. We work nationwide, so whoever you referred to in your comment gave you false information. We dont tell families it will take them a year to adopt; our contract is a two-year contract, and many families do take longer than one year to be chosen. Also, we do not match. We give freedom and support to expectant mothers to make their own informed decisions and choose a family they feel is best for their baby. We are so happy for your family that you were able to have a successful adoption, even if it wasnt with us. Enjoy your baby boy!Review fromChristina M

1 starWe started our adoption journey in November of 2020 with Angel. We were pushed hard to put preferences on our forms that we were not comfortable with but were told if we were open to all preferences or situations we would get a baby! After a year we got a match, started texting "birth mother" and right away something was off. She could not answer basic questions about her pregnancy. She continued to give me the run around about her next appointment etc. I googled her name, she had been convicted of fraud, identify theft etc. I reached out to Angel about my concerns. Seemed like she wanted money and was not really pregnant. I was told most of the ** have a past and is why they are giving their babies up. Her last charge was a month before. Angel could not confirm or deny she was pregnant we told Angel we would not be moving forward. We were shamed for our decision and told we could get a lawyer to find out if she was pregnant. As a business that matches ** with adoptive parents they should already know if birth mothers are pregnant! After showing how unhappy we were the very next day we received a call stating we had been chosen by Angel's staff for a **. She was due in April. It seemed promising. We did end up hiring a lawyer and paying money to the lawyer to get our process started. However no one heard from the birth mother. We had to reach out to Angel for updates. The lawyer never was able to meet with her to confirm anything. Angel came back and said they were going to terminate our connection with her since no one had heard from her. We expressed to Angel again our frustration and being unhappy and in return comments such as "adopting is a hard process" or "it can be frustrating" were made. Angel is only there to collect money. They are not in this for the kids or babies. We were told that we could extend our contact for more money. There is no way I would give this company any more of my money! These people are playing with people's hearts and money!Angel Adoption

Hi *********! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You have never been told that you will get a baby. In fact, we explicitly state in our contract, during our informational meeting, and in our regular conversations with families that they are never guaranteed a baby. No one in the adoption industry has any control over final placement decisions but the birthmother, and that is how it always should be. We also do not match families with birthmothers. We allow the opportunity and freedom for expectant mothers to make their own decisions and choose a family thats best for them. You were never pushed hard to be open to anything you are not comfortable with. Rather, you were given the information to make an informed decision, and you made the choice to change some of your preferences after receiving that information. What you are promised is top-notch marketing and coordination, which is what you received based on the fact you were chosen by three different expectant mothers during your wait. Two of those expectant mothers you decided to not move forward with based on your own assumptions. Luckily, one of those birthmothers remained hopeful and trusting in us and the adoption process and went on to place her baby with another one of our families. Were sorry your journey with us didnt end the way we all hoped it would, but we wish you luck in your future endeavors.
