I had my entire roof replaced on 2/2016 and paid for the job in full. Around October of 2018 I called to advise that i had a roof leak and wanted to know if the repair would be covered under the warranty. They sent a contractor out on 10/22/2018 and he found the issue, patched it up and sent me pictures telling me the work was done. I thought the problem had been resolved and the damage was covered under the warranty. Weeks later I get a call from a manager asking me if I had other work done on the property by another company. I advised him I had my parapit wall repaired by another company. He went on to question me about why I didn't have Nombach to do the repair. I advised him that I had called Nombach for a quote and the price was out of my budget. He went on to say the leak that they repaired was due to the work done by the other contractors and now I owed Nombach $210 for the repair. The leak had nothing to do with the parapet wall or the flashing replaced by the other company. It was a tear in the roofing material and I have the pictures from the Nomach contractor to prove it.I was not notifeid at the time of service that the leak wouldn't be covered under the warranty or that a fee would be charged. I should've been notied before the repair that a fee would be charged and given an option to move forward with the repair. Instead, I now have a lien on my property for $210 plus fees which total more than $600. When I called Nombach after discovering the lien I was sent a copy of my original contract with a section highlighted stating they can charge a service fee for any damage they deem isn't a result of their workmanshop. What the contract doesn't say is that this fee will be charged before you are even notifed if the damage is covered or not.This whole things sounds like a scam from a company that's so peity that they would put a lien against someone's property for a $210 service fee that wasn't even communicated before the repair was done.
