Beware Arzet ***************************** they will rip you off when your air conditioning breaks down in the summer heat. The a/c at my condo went out and I called Arzet to come take a look. They told me I needed a new run capacitor and the total charge would be $625. Pretty pricey, but worth it to get the air running again! Then a few hours later the air was not cold at all so I called and they scheduled a visit for tomorrow. The next visit they told me I had a freon leak which needed to be fixed and I had three options:1) Recharge the freon and add leak stopper for $1100 2) Do a leak test and repair the leak and add freon for $1700 3) Replace the whole system for $5200 I chose option two because the unit is 11 years old and it should last for a few more years at least. They did the leak test for maybe 2 hours and told me they could not find the leak and it must be in the wall so there is nothing they can do. Also they will add leak stopper to the freon recharge which will be an additional $275. So I had to pay them $1975 because I chose option two instead of option 1, which would have saved me $875. I called them about this obvious discrepancy in my invoice and they said a manager would get back to me by the end of the day. No one ever called me back. So I paid $2600, half the cost of a new system for them to not solve my problem. Call anyone else if you want to save yourself thousands of dollars for a normal service call.Arzet Heating & Cooling Inc. Response

*********************,
Thank you for your review and were sorry you feel that way about us. We usually respond when we say we will, but were busier than usual and its 100% my fault (****** Arzet) for not getting back to you when we said we would do, and for that I apologize, *********
About the charges and options, we did give you options and prices, ****. The reason for the prices being high is because this is an 11 year old air conditioning system and it uses the **22 Freon. This type of Freon is really expensive, and its hard to get, for its 3 to 4 times more expensive than the new **410A Freon. When you called the office, you had mentioned there another company was going to recharge the system and add a Freon leak stopper for about $700.
The other company probably did not know that they were going to be dealing with this type of Freon. We are an honest company and told you the truth about not finding the Freon leak by the evaporator coil, condenser, or the exposed Freon line set and that the Freon leak must have been within the walls. This is why we fully re charged your air conditioner system with **22 plus added a Freon leak stopper and left your air conditioner running and fully functioning.
The difference in pricing between option #1 (adding Freon) and option #2 (do a leak test plus add Freon) is mostly the labor involved in doing the leak test. This means that even though we did not find the leak in any of the exposed sections, we still did the labor to try and find it, and this is what the charge was for option #2 as well as fully recharging the system with all new Freon.
As we all know, everything has gone up the roof with prices, and you were given choices and you had time to think and make a choice. You called us back, and we responded and did the work as soon as we could which it was in in 2 days.
Were sorry you feel that way about us, ****, but we gave you choices in writing and do not pressure people to do business with us, and we all have the option to get quotes from different companies but we believe we did the steps in order and truly sorry for not giving you a call back *************** Arzet

We hired ARZET Hvac to replace our AC unit. Two days later, our furnace started leaking. We called them, they came and fixed.Few days later same issue happened, we called again, they came again and fixed. It happened for the 3rd time again, we called again, now they came, run some tests, and informed us that our system has a leak and that we need to replace our copper line system and that will cost us additional 1300-1800$ depending on if we want them to cut the wall and place lines inside the wall or to be exposed. I tried contacting their manager, but he would not return my call. Hence, I took uber and went to *************** (address listed on their documents) hoping I would be able to talk to someone. That address exists but their office does not.I called them, asked them to confirm address, which they did and when I said I was there, but office is not there, I was told they cant tell me address and that I cant go to their office. Finally, next day manager called me to explain about the leak and additional expenses. In this industry, standard procedure is to remove old AC, perform pressurized nitrogen test to see if there was a leak in the system, clean and install a new one. I asked manager if they followed all steps, he said yes.I asked, if so, how come we did not discover the leak immediately and you are telling me now after 3 weeks there was a leak, and we need to pay almost 2k extra. His response was: well, you wanted us to give you a better price at the beginning so we had to cut corners, we could not perform all steps, so we did not do this ****** the top of this, they reduced copper line from 3/8 to 1/8 which was against ******* code.I told them they need to come and fix this but that I am not going to pay for this since they skipped the test and did not inform me on time about additional cost. At the end, we met at $450 but they insisted me to pay upfront. Next, they came to install exposed copper lines. Once installation was done, we realized that they messed up something again because new system was vibrating and making noises while AC was on.While installing this, they also burnt our bedding and mattress.Worst part is that they drilled a new hole in the exterior wall in 45 stories high rise which is against every rule and common sense. After I tried to have them come over again to fix new issues, I was told by their manager that they are scared I am going to *** them, so they offered to give us 100% refund and take their equipment back.Arzet Heating & Cooling Inc. **************, Thank you for your review and concerns. We believe in communication and to have everything on writing which is why we talked to you or **************** before doing any work. After reading your review extensively, we would like to point out some of the complaints made in the review. 1.Regarding the main concern with the Freon lines, the Freon lines that are inside of the building have been there for more than 20 years. 20 years ago in the **** world, soft soldering was done (now its mostly done by plumbers), and Freon pressure have also changed in that time from the previous R-22 Freon to the new R410A Freon. 2.You also mentioned that we skipped some steps when checking for leaks in the system and falsely accused us of cutting corners to do the job at a cheaper price. The truth is that the customer insisted on doing the job at a cheaper price, but at no point in the job did we reduce the quality of the materials or cut any corners. We strongly value our customers time, money, and property. We have been in the **** business for 24 years and are very familiar with how to install **** systems. We know we did everything by the book, and we cant afford to do jobs bypassing city codes. 3.Another false accusation made in your review is that we switched out the 3/8 copper lines with 1/8 copper lines, but that is simply not possible. The connections to the condenser service ports are 3/8, and there is no way we couldve connected a 1/8 line. There is no way to change that because it comes from the manufacturer, and the 1/8 was already inside of the homes walls. 4.As for the burnt mattress, we told the owners to move everything away from the worksite where we will be working, but they did not move the bed. We had also said in the contract that we would not be responsible for any other damages to the home. As for the hole in the wall, we got an approval from the homeowner. We regret that it didnt work between us and truly wish you found your **** guy, and that you are happy now with their job. Sincerely,The Arzet **** Team
