8/29/2022 I signed up for the 160 hour cdl course, as a part time student. I was told i needed to complete 100 hours classroom time 20 hours skills time and 20 hours of driving time and also 20 hours to obtain my permit. Now I thought I was going to finish all of that in October, but was given a November completion date when I signed up, I thought ok I'm part time so I figured it would take a couple of weeks longer not months. 8/31/2022 I obtained my permit (CPL) and started the class and in order to complete the class you had to pass evaluations which I completed and passed on 10/03/2022. Which advanced me to outside to participate and train for skills and driving. Now when I got outside for the 1st week I had to learn and teach myself and learn from current students not instructors. After 2 weeks of doing the skills another student told me I had to ask about going on the road to get ************* and that I have to go and ask everyday or else I won't get no drive time. So I went to see if I could get on the road to get drive time and was told I need to pass enough evaluations, but the instructor rarely gave them out. Plus I was part time so when he did do evaluations it was in the afternoon when I wasn't present so I would only get an evaluation once a week. So after about 4 weeks outside and finally getting 2 evaluations I asked again about going on the road and was granted the opportunity to do so I believe on 10/25. Now the group i went with it was all our 1st time, the following i was scheduled but was then bumped off and never put back on. After begging to get on the road I finally gave up and asked to be transferred and was told no, asked for a refund and was told no. So I asked to switch course since it was fewer people and it was granted. Now here we are on 12/21 and the same issue I'm getting promised road time but can't get on the road and getting bumped by newer students. I signed up for a 160 hour course and now have 224 hours

I attend progressive trucking school in cicero ********. Because of this school being over crowded, graduation dates are pushed back for every student due to them not being able to keep up with the training demands for each student. School first refused to put in a amendment to Veterans affairs with my new extended updated graduation date, to which it was resolved because the VA reached out to them and informed them that they cannot withhold that information and final decisions for my benefits are up to the VA. Not the school. So ********************* sent in an amendment with a new Graduation date but gave false information saying that i was only attending class 8 hrs a week instead of the 16hrs a week that was required by the VA. Because of this the VA has cut off my VA payments and im not able to attending school until this is resolved because i cannot pay for daycare for my child. So this lady falsified information to the VA. When i have records showing that I attend school for at least 16 or more hrs every week. Because of the headache that this has caused id like them to refund my tuition and also fix their mistake in the VA system right away so that i can get my kid back in daycare and get out of this school

I signed up for a 10 week program and Progressive failed to fulfill their promise with getting me my CDL. Several times throughout my time at school they pulled the instructor out of class due to being short staffed and was not able to get the proper training to obtain my CDL. I went back to work and unable to continue class so I droppped out. I spoke to ***** about getting a refund for the rest of my time not being completed and she said 15 business days for refund. Its been over ******************************************** whenever I reach out to them.

This is in response to Mr. ************************* complaint.

************** enrolled in our 160 hour class.  He attended 124 hours and went back to work.  His work schedule did not fit the schools hours so he requested a refund.  In a text conversation with the school director on May 4, 2022, he was told that since he attended more than 50% of the scheduled ours, he was not eligible for a refund, but he could return to finish the course whenever he could find the time.

Attached is the enrollment agreement showing the Withdrawal and Refund Policy on page 2 highlighted in yellow.

I would like to reconfirm that ************************* can return to class to finish his training and his tuition payment will be honored.

I am rejecting this response because:

I was informed that a refund would be processed and I would have my money back within 15 business days by the school director 03/09/2022.

      Sincerely,

In my previous reply i attached a copy of **************' signed and initialed refund policy.  ************* is not elligible for a refund because he attended 124 hours of the 160 hour program.  Refund requests are sent to the accounting department where the elligibility is determined.  In this case the Director sent the request to the accounting department and because of his hours of attendance, he is not elligible.  As stated before, he is welcome to return to class to finish his training.

      Complaint: 16980857

I am rejecting this response because:the director in the school emailed me that I was going to get a refund in 15 business days. There were days the school had no instructors and they would tell us that we can go honks but they would put down that we showed up for class like we were there learning when that was not the case. The school is misleading and lies a lot. They said I would I get a refund and now that I file a complaint they changed their mind. I would never recommend this school to anyone ever.

      Sincerely,

On Wednesday, 03/10/2021, I paid more out-of-pocket expenses to the ******** Secretary of State, took the computer based exams and received my CLP. The business committed to provide adequate hands-on training & instruction so that I would receive a CDL. I have never received any of the promised services though having majority of the program hours. Complaint: 15741941

I am rejecting this response because: as of September 11, 2021 at 12:22 AM my Banking Institution has notified me that no such transaction from Progressive has been initiated for the amount of $3,499.00 as agreed or any partial amount for that matter. The solution was reached between ************ Shrube and I Thursday, September 9th and on Friday I was contacted by a lady named ***** on behalf of Progressive acquiring my banking information to process the refund. She instructed me that she had initiated the refund and how long it took to show up in my account could very upon my bank. She then instructed that if I reach out to my bank that they should be able to at least see the transaction initiated. Saturday I contacted my bank who could not confirm the refund transaction. So upon receipt of the refund I shall consider this matter resolved.
