      I tried to resolve a outstanding medical bill between EM Strategies and my insurance BCBS. BCBS was will to pay 100% of the outstanding bill as long as EM Strategies resubmitted the claim with the correct procedure codes. When I called Merchants Credit Guide Company I was told rudely by there representative (******) that that was not his problem and that I was going to need to pay it directly myself and the we not in the business of resubmitting any claims. All he discussed was that it was going to go on my credit report and refused to listen to a word I said. I asked for a bill and he said I would get one in 90 days.

      This company is dishonest and unprofessional at best. This morning ****** called my 20 year old son demanding $284.16 for 2020 tuition that has been paid in full. Later we called back. ****** didnt know that I was on the call jumped right in and started hounding and bullying my son. My son said that he would like to give permission to speak to me and hand the phone over but ****** replied I dont need to talk to your mom, you need to pay this or its going on your credit rating. I then asked for his supervisor and we were put on hold and he never came back. We called back & spoke to ***, who didnt identify herself as a supervisor but she was kind enough to let us know that we could call the school and they could call them and close the account. She stated that they had sent 2 notices and the last one was in 04/2021, almost a year ago (?). A) We never got said notice B) Maybe if this was legit they would have not waited a year to follow up. I had checked to see if my son had any actual collections activity before we called (he doesnt) so I asked *** if this was actual collections (more to gauge this company's ethics than anything else) and she said yes. I have a collections background and I can guarantee that if someone's calling the collections agency its because they want to take care of the problem and treating that person with transparency and respect will get better results than bullying 100% of the time. I cant imagine that I would be leaving this review if she was honest enough to say that it was in escalations and he still had some time to fix it with the school. Although I thought that *** was less than honest, at least she wasnt rude. ****** on the other hand might be better suited as a drill sergeant.

      Had two $50 bills on my credit report, I called to set up a quick payment for them. A month later, one of the debts was still on my report and I was told when calling that the funds were put into "other accounts" I have with them. I'd rather take the credit score hit than give these guys another dime.

      I called MCGC because I received a collection notice in the mail. I advised the lady that answered that I was not the person on the **** and she told me "then you can disregard the ****" and then she hung up on me immediately after that! She did not try to resolve the over all issue that they were mailing me another persons collection or refused to answer any other questions. The customer service was horrendous and I am shocked at her response. The worst part is that it all stared with ******************** billing me for other persons medical bills. Extremely disappointed!!!!

      I keep getting voicemails over and over, sometimes daily!!! They sent me a letter saying that I owe ********** **** $1127.22 and they are going to collect it. They also thanked me for my payment made in June. I didn't make a payment in June because I haven't used my ********** **** card in 10 years!!! The guy was rude and just kept thanking me for my payment, asking for the balance.I'm currently on hold for the credit department at MG now!

      I do not know this business. I do not know why it is calling me over and over again leaving voicemails about money I have not signed up for. This *******, *** number is repeatedly scamming my number and trying to make me believe I owe them something I know nothing about.

      Called about paying off a debt and the debt collector felt I was being aggressive. I only asked the debt amount, and to see if it could be lowered $200 so that I could pay the debt off in full. I ask this man, how are you? Can you please tell me your name and Id number for my records. He said I blamed him for the debt and blamed him for not lowering the amount. Then said I needed to be transferred to a manager because I blamed him(he blamed himself). I should not have to hold this mans hand to make a payment. Please do better. I have also notified the company about this call. That I tried to pay off the debt but the collector felt blamed and no longer wanted to talk.

      This company is absolutely terrible. They never once reached out to me over email or over the phone. Not in the mail. No type of communication. They never gave me an opportunity to pay off the balance before destroying my credit. They put it on my credit as a seriously late payment and in collections which is destroying my credit. They wont take it off until the balance is paid in full. Customer service has been absolutely disgusting. No one has helped. They are snarky and just say I can get it off my report if I somehow shell out $407 today. Never gave me a chance before destroying my credit by 66 points!!! These guys are thieves and need to be charged.
