The Chicago Cubs are conducting an illegal lottery. Customers may enter for a chance to purchase a limited number of tickets to the Wild Card Series (by September 25) and NLDS (by October 3), according to the September 14th ************* Entry is through www.cubs.com/postseason. According to an ******** Attorney-General brochure, "Don't pay for your prize. Prizes are free. If you have to pay before you can receive your prize, you've made a purchase. It is unlawful for a business to require you to buy something to participate in a sweepstakes." Hi, Our son used to go to Chicago Cubs baseball camps every summerthen ***** hit. He was signed up for the summer ***** hit, but he was unable to go because of *****. They credited the money towards our account. He was signed up again for the next year, but due to government restrictions we were unable to travel to the Chicago area. That money was again added to our account and not refunded. We have e-mailed them 4 times, and called 3 times to talk about getting the money back, but they havent responded to any of our calls/e-mails. They have $509 of our money sitting in an account, and we would like to get it back. We wouldve gone to these camps, but the government restricted us, so it was out of our control:/Initial Complaint

On 3-11-22, the Chicago Cubs sent emails out to people saying you could sign up for the chance to be selected to purchase Chicago Cubs tickets a day early, on 3-17-22, rather than the general public sale that begins 3-18-22. On 3-16-22, the Chicago Cubs notified me that I had been selected to purchase tickets during the pre-sale on 3-17-22! Great! I might actually get the opportunity to pay for the over-priced game I want to go to a day early. So yesterday, immediately at 2:00pm as instructed, we tried to purchase tickets. We found the game and tickets, placed in our cart, and guess what? The Chicago Cubs screwed us! We got a pop up message stating "This offer code has already been used for the maximum number of transactions"! WHAT? WE DID NOT MAKE ANY TRANSACTIONS!!! ZERO! What a scam. I tried contacting the Cubs but no luck. I have been going to Cubs games since ****. I don't know that I will ever go again. This is a horrible scam. I wasted time and effort trying top buy over-priced tickets just get denied. IF we ever decide to go to another Cubs game, it will be an out of town game. The tickets are far more affordable and the ballparks are MUCH nicer with better food and modern amenities.Initial Complaint

Cubs have still not provided me with a refund for the ***************** show that has been postponed indefinitely. They have been unable to provide a reason why. They were supposed to honor the refund 20 business days from request but that did not happen. They have been holding this money for well over a year at this point and are unable to provide the buyers with something as trivial as a refund.Initial Complaint
