I could not adequately describe the situation in under ************************************************************* summary Barrington Roof Doctors did not repair a roof leak as quoted and discussed despite two visits. They also caused a new leak in the course of their work. I have offered to pay for the $200 in materials that was used however I have been met with insults and a threat of lien from the owner ****.Business response

We completed repairs on Mr. ******** roof. I met with ******************, and we went up on his roof where he approved of all that we had done, and stated that he would send us a check which he never did.
He then sent us email that he was not happy with the work, and it also stated he would not allow me to come back and fix or inspect anything on the roof. At this point are hands were tied and we contacted him
several times in order to rectify the situation. We even offered him a discounted price to cover half of the labor and materials which he refused. Initially, I suggested that he should contact his insurance company as I
had noticed signs of hail damage on his roof, and he had a recent hail storm in the area. I could not understand his decision not to file a claim. I was also reluctant to do the repairs as his entire roof is in a terrible state.
The roof is way past it's useful life and you can see the fiberglass backing in the shingles all over the roof. This means that all the gravel substrate has worn off, and the roof needs to be replaced, and it is very susceptible to leaks and
other problems. He is a neighbor, so I did the repairs for him. We are still willing to accept $500 as a suitable payment for the work we did. We are also willing to cancel the bill, if he allows us to inspect the roof and can see he had the
work we did replaced by another roofer. We have never had a complaint before on BBB, and are always willing to work with customers if they are not satisfied.
