We were contracted with Stericycle for hazardous medical waste pickup two times per year. They showed up once in April 2023, then claimed they attempted a pickup on 12/5/2023. Our office has never been open on a Tuesday, we never scheduled for a Tuesday pickup. When I called, I got an overseas representative who rescheduled the pickup for 12/22/27. Stericycle never showed up for this pickup. When I called, again speaking with an overseas representative, she offered to reschedule it for ******** The offer was declined and a refund of $315 was requested. The refund was approved (although we have not received the refund as of 3/21/24). We paid $630 per office (2 offices) for 2024. We did receive a pickup in our second office in March 2024, but still no pickup for our first office. We are now tripping over hazardous waste bags because we have nowhere to put them! I requested a refund of $630 for our first office for the 2024 contract and asked to cancel both contracts. Someone from a U.S. based office called today to tell us that we would now be charged an early termination fee for cancelling, yet they can not seem to fulfill the contract, so we have to pay for nothing. We have already contracted with another company (that is $168/year cheaper than Stericycle) and we are on a month-to-month agreement. I do NOT recommend Stericycle to any business because they do not fulfill their contracts!Stericycle, Inc. Response

I had Stericycle services for three years for my company. During the three years they often missed pick *** and did not follow up to reschedule. I sold my company back in 10/23, and canceled my contract 8/23. I am still receiving bills and collections notices even though the contract has been canceled and I have written proof of the cancelation. I have contacted Stericycle by mail/email/phone several times to have this corrected and every time I receive the same response our contract specialist has been notified and they will correct the problem. Well its not fixed yet. Terrible business practice. Id appreciate some help from Stericycle to fix this problem. If you need services for waste pick up, do not use them!!!! I have been dealing with this company for 16 years. When stericycle and Shred it merged it messed up our payments. They cannot find payments We are getting collection notices all the time. This has been going on almost a year and a half. We have to send proof of payment every couple of months from our bank. They refuse to let me out of our contract despite not being able to fix the problem. Compared to other companies i have been researching, they overcharge as well. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE HIGH STRESS SITUATIONS It seems we are all experiencing the same "non-service, no response, high priced scam"We have called several times for pick up of waste, spoke with several people who arent able to help, transferred to different departments only to be able to leave a message that no one returns, and left completely frustrated and out a whole lot of money for nothing in return!! HOW ARE THEY ALLOWED TO STILL BE IN BUSINESS?!?!? We have been trying to get a pick up since the end of October. Every time we call we have to give them our business hours and days of operation. We tell them we are not open on Fridays. They attempted to pick up on Friday January 26. We have called three times since then, got the run around and finally today I get a letter from them simply stating that they tried to make a pick up on January 26 and no one was there!!Stericycle, Inc. I have never encountered a company quite like Stericylce. I am very displeased and implore you to never use this company. They provide ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have been requesting to cancel my account with them since October 2023. Tomorrow is March 1, 2024. An Account Rep reached out to me in December Below is the correspondence:*12/5/2023 5:37pm Hi,Please reply to this email me to inform me if services have been rendered.Best,Tierra *************************** Inside Sales - RWCS *12/6/2023 8:34AM ****** **** Services last rendered in October. I contacted a Rep in NOVEMBER to discuss an error in our billing, and a request to cancel our services. She stated that she would have my account rep reach out to me.Are you the account rep I am waiting for?--***** Office Administrator *12/6/2023 9:21am **** I am reaching out to see if we have rendered services. Cancellation is a 60-day process. If the cancellation is due to Services issues and have not been resolved, it is a 30-day process. Therefore, I need to know if we have picked up waste.Best,Tierra *************************** Inside Sales - RWCS It has now been 85 days with ZERO RESPONSE!!I have an outstanding balance of over $500 for services that were never rendered. This may be the worst company i have ever dealt with. They put you into a long term contract without your knowing it, increase your bill every chance they get and refuse to answer you. Then, they send you "collection notices" out of the blue for bills you never got. What a complete ripoff. How do I give zero stars?Stericycle, Inc. Response

A disgrace of an organization. Company structure seems intentionally compartmentalized to prevent customers from reaching "supervisors" who may provide any measure of support. Employees on the sales side of the business are, of course, cordial and helpful (how I reach supervisors now). The customer service side of the operation is via a ********** call center, and despite their pleasant demeanor, these individuals have no actual ability to resolve matters, and are clearly scripted. This again speaks to the very effective way Stericycle sequesters leadership from their customers.After Stericycle stopped collecting regulated medical waste from our facility (with our accounting in good standing) I was told in order to severe the contract we would be held to 50% of the cost within the balance of the contract. This would be fine were it not for the fact pick-*** became a problem 3 months into a 5 year contract. It is a shame in this day and age to see what could be a great **************** conduct itself in such a deceitful and harmful way.Stericycle, Inc. Response
