May 8, 2023, the care was picked up and didn't work for long 8minutes away would not go forward just backward also had white smoke. The transmission was working, it only had a casing leak, to say the least I am very upset. They got ** into a loan with EasyPay at a interest rate of ****** annual percentage. I really haven't woke from this nightmare. Previously filed: Enter Code: 54342617-8AAD3 I had car tolled to **********************, Arlington Heights, ** *****, phone: ************. this was a referral from ************ (bad call).2014 **** Escape for a casing leak caused by a crack casing so part ordered out of state since March 29, 2023, priced agreed upon. Several ************** as to why so long, got different excuses such as only one machinic present, why not get more staff from another Aamco locations or transfer to another Aamco shop. I finally get a call on May 1st, 2023, that the transmission is done but it was working with just adding transmission fluid so what happen nobody knows. I can't afford the new price of $6600 vs $2030 that was agreed upon. I like when you go to a doctor for any major health issue you can get another opinion. I wonder if there are any other mechanic that can give a second opinion.?Service: TransmissionBusiness response

I had car tolled to **********************, Arlington Heights, ** *****, phone: ************. this was a referral from ************ (bad call).2014 **** Escape for a casing leak caused by a crack casing so part ordered out of state since March 29, 2023, priced agreed upon. Several ************** as to why so long, got different excuses such as only one machinic present, why not get more staff from another Aamco locations or transfer to another Aamco shop. I finally get a call on May 1st, 2023, that the transmission is done but it was working with just adding transmission fluid so what happen nobody knows. I can't afford the new price of $6600 vs $2030 that was agreed upon. I like when you go to a doctor for any major health issue you can get another opinion. I spoke with ******'s mother yesterday at 2:53pm and we agreed upon a repair price of $3999. We also agreed that they can pay $3300.00 and pick up the vehicle and the remaining balance can be paid to us overtime. We helped with financing and greatly discounted the price to assist with this repair.Customer response

*************************PS, We spoke with new management that took over at the beginning of May 2023. They were not aware that the 2014 **** Escape was there since March29, 2023. *****, the new manager, helped to obtain a loan plus gave $2000.00 from the $6600 price increase from $2030.00. I wish this hadn't taken so long because as a Uber, lost income of about $4000.00 so the loan was a salvation for both parties involved.

12-20-21 my 2014 ****** legacy was towed to AAMCO Transmission Arlington Heights, IL. Was told that transmission had to be replaced $6,812.05 After 3 1/2 weeks on 1-13-22 late evening I pick up my car.. driving away from AAMCO I felt my car pulling/jerking. 3 days later I realized my transmission is leaking oil. Took ****** back to AAMCO Transmission Arlington Heights.. transmission needs to be replaced again.. I asked to get my money back. I don't want to be with out a car for another 3 weeks.. I drive my car for a living and I have not being able to work because my car is not fixed right or in a timely manner for now 28 days.. and counting..Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I am responding to Aamco Transmissions statement of servicing my ******* Aamco did not give me service satisfaction and did not accommodate me in any kind of way for such a lengthy repair. I use my vehicle for work and I explained that to the service manager before any work was performed, I agreed on a three week repair from the service manager but that did not happen. It took a month for Aamco Transmissions to get the rebuilt transmission that was not tested before being placed in my vehicle. After a month I picked up my vehicle, paid the full amount of $6,812.05 and the transmission failed. This caused me more inconvenience and delay of going back to work. I returned my vehicle back to Aamco Transmissions, just to wait an additional 3 weeks to get my car for the second time. Pick up my car again only to realized that I had to go back a third time due to a seal leaking. Aamco Transmissions offered me an oil change, but that is simply not enough. For my Inconvenience and the additional ******** that I lost in earnings from the work that I use my car for, I am looking for a valid response from BBB to ratify my concerns.

We regret delays that were caused by ongoing supply chain issues. It is certainly never in the customers or our best interest to have vehicles in various stages of repair remain in our possession longer than necessary. When the service was completed, the vehicle was operating correctly and while it is unusual for a performance issue to reoccur, it can happen which is why warranties exist in the first place. At AAMCO we always stand behind our service and we attended to the issue as soon as possible. The warranty given is still in effect and at this time we request the file be closed.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: the lack of accountability is astonishing. You got the 2nd transmission on a Thursday.. told me to drop my car off on Saturday. I go to meet the service manager on Saturday morning, only to find the place closed. Call multiple time nothing untill Monday morning 2hrs after opening. For just one example. The lowest standard of customer *********************** I have ever seen. That you are installing faulty parts. That you tell me my car is ready again and again only to find that if you have spent ********************************* looking under the vehicle to transmission oil leaks. And this steps had not being taken to insure quality of work, Is ridiculous and way below any customer ********************** standards. Completely unacceptable .....

I have paid **** already and have heard nothing else from the shop. I have called corporate and still nothing has been done. I am from out of State and need my truck to get home. Please help me out!!!!Business response
