Transaction date : 5-1-23 Paid: $441 up front.Company to provide: 6 visits with 3 applications of fertilizer and 5 weed control Nature of dispute: they got the square footage of my lot wrong (**** compared to 12,000ish). They did the first two services with no issue but on the third they tried to get me to pay the difference of $240. I feel like if they underquoted they need to eat the difference and adjust for next year. They would barely try to bargain the price and just say pay or get a refund. I was essentially given no other option when I opted for the refund. Zero flexibility.Resolution: I opted for the refund but they hung up before I could get a number on what I would get back since they did some of the service they hung up on me.Customer number: *******************Business response

******,
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We apologize for the discrepancy in the square footage of your lawn. We did originally quote you for a lower treatable area and regrettably did not realize our mistake until recently. With that said one of our representatives reached out to discuss what we can do moving forward. We did not ask for anything additional to be paid for the services already completed. We did however say that we needed to meet in the middle between the original price and the price that should be charged for the adjusted lawn measurement for any services not yet completed this year. You made an offer of what you would like to pay and we made a counter offer which you declined. We do record all phone calls and listened to the call after this concern was brought to our attention. At no point was anyone hung up on and the remaining balance that you had prepaid was refunded to you. If you would like to further discuss options to meet in the middle on pricing for the rest of this season we would welcome that conversation.
Thank you,

So from May 2022 to August 2022, I went back and forth with WeedMan customer care about parts of the yard getting sprayed or not getting sprayed, when I had huge yellow spots in my backyard from the dandelion spray all summer. Basically my yard was burned, from fence line to fence line. Then my peach tree died. I couldn't figure out why, and when I presented this to them as a possibility that maybe the tech had accidentally sprayed the tree, and they said no. Then they sent their expert out who said the tree wasn't being watered, which absolutely wasn't the case. The tree sits between 4 sprinklers which hit it during their rotations twice each in 30 minutes. I believe my tree got sprayed accidentally because even today you can see the dandelions growing around the bottom of it. Finally September of 2022, the ** agreed to cancel the charges I refused to pay because of the issues, but won't take responsibility. He said there was no way they killed the tree. If you hire this company, make sure you watch to see when and where they spray. I was at work when they would come and only saw the aftermath. My 78 yo mother was home and shouldn't have had to deal with it. Its about good customer service , which I never received. Be vigilant and take pictures of everything, before AND after. CYA folks.Business response

***********, while the state of your peach tree is unfortunate, it is our professional opinion that it was not damaged as a result of our treatments. Per one of our Team Members who has experience as an Arborist: the damage on the upper portion of the Peach Tree is on the same side as the damage on the trunk, suggesting that the tree was girdled at one point, leading to the death of the upper branches as a result of water & nutrients not being transported upwards on that side of the tree. There is no evidence of chemical damage. We did indeed write off two of your applications - not as an admission of causing the damage, but as a demonstration of good faith. While we thank you for your time & business, we won't be offering any further restitution as it is our professional opinion that there is no link between our service & the damage to the tree. Thank you for your feedback & have a great rest of your week.
