We had a new home built and moved in August of 2020. After our 1 year walk through, they found our floating floor issue was because they built the stem wall in the crawl space too tall. They then went down to lower the floor which caused more issues (multiple creaks in the floor). They have been out a couple of times to try and fix the issue with no luck and are now saying they will no longer help to fix the issue. After they said they will not help I checked the area with the worst creaks and found that it slopes about half an inch in about 3 feet. We need some help and guidance on how we can resolve this issue with Viking. Thank you!Business response

We have had is***s with heavy cracking in the walls and buckled flooring. We have had an entire wall patched 3 times and eventually taken out and replaced. Multiple ******** and beams put under the house. Complete bathroom retile. They have visited our home over a dozen times with continued problems. We are 2 years into the repairs and have not signed off on them. We have had the home inspected by a licensed inspector for the county and referred and inspected by a licensed contractor for the county that have both expressed the concerns with underneath the home. It is still not complete and they refuse to fix the problem the right way which would result in us hiring the contractor that would come do the repairs totaling thousands. We have already paid out hundreds to get in inspected and lost wages in the amount of times we have taken off from work to be home for repeated repairs. I am an educator for the ************** and have been for the last 28 years. Viking has cost me so much time and money that i can not afford. We we spoke of looking into the engineering the employees that day became very angry never to return. We have tons of email correspondence and voice recordings of Vikings own employees telling us that we need to get it inspected and that our floors are extremely messed up. It was the Viking employees that pur***d us to follow through on getting it looked at and that several other Viking homeowners were having the same problem. Now they want to take away my sons college education and the money for my elderly parents to continue to stay in their home to pay for not building a home properly. We plan to *** for damages and will be contacting all homeowners of Viking to join in the suit against this builder. Please look into Viking leaving the ************** and building in **************** years ago for the same is***s. They have now returned to ***** to take advantage of people and their money again.Business response
